I had contacted Newpro Plumbing to make a simple repair to a shower. Owner Miguel arrived over an hour late. I should have realized when he turned up without tools that he had no intention to actually making a repair. He didn't even inspect the shower properly. His goal seems to have been to collect a $99 visit fee and present an estimate that was so large it was laughable. For a job that should take about 20 minutes he wanted to charge $599! He was unable to justify this amount and wrongly said he'd have to turn off the water, which is not the case. Horrible experience. read more

They won't even give a rough estimate without coming to view the job in person, and they charge $130 to come to see the job (which can be applied to the work if you decide to go with them, but since you have absolutely no idea what the range of pricing could be, I'm not sure who would ever agree to that. I called these plumbers because my roof deck was flooded and leaks were coming into my house. I needed the drain unblocked and to understand where the water was getting into the house. It was peak Covid in 2020 so a tiny bit of extra to come out made sense but they charged us $1250 to basically unclog a drain. They sent someone here to look at my toilet and I already knew what was wrong with it because I had already talked to another (trusted but unavailable to do the work) plumber who diagnosed the issue. The toilet needed an internal rebuild due to a faulty fill valve. New Pro's plumber tried to charge me $800 for the work when the work should not cost more than $225. After some negotiations, he backed down to $400 but still it was too high and I politely declined to do the work. Guess what? I don't have many complaints about the service, work, or experience I had with New Pro. Miguel was very friendly, was able to come out and help same day, and was respectful while in our space. The reason I am giving a 3 star rating is because the prices were significantly inflated. I believe he raised prices knowing that a company was paying for it and that I, a 25 year old woman, wouldn't question his prices. Because of the situation we were in I just approved the price because I needed the leak fixed asap in order to not leave our tenants stuck with no kitchen use. I then had him do a sink replacement (I bought the sink already) and he charged me $599 just to install it. I paid begrudgingly since I already awarded him the job. Then I had him quote a bidet hose switch out and he wanted to charge me $1549!! At this point I was angry at the audacity. I had another plumber bid the job and told him what New Pro was charging and his mouth dropped and he laughed... hard! He said he understands raising prices a bit to make money off of the job but said he does not even see how someone can get away with what they were. He bought the parts for me, and replaced 2 of the hoses for $550 total. read more

Had a great experience with New Pro Plumbing today. Miguel was running a little late for the appointment, but was communicative and professional and when he arrived he listened to my laundry list of issues (we have an office that had a handful of non-emergency issues) and quickly got to work assessing the situation, providing quotes for each job, and getting each repaired beyond our satisfaction in a timely fashion. He even left to get materials that were not on hand (one being an instant water heater that is difficult to find) and returned SAME DAY to complete the jobs. ORIGINAL UPDATE BELOW: After the review Miguel went above and beyond to get back in and see what could be done to fix the Leaking toilet. I wanted a few days to really make sure i wasn't dealing with the same situation, but after 2.5days the leak has still not returned. Original 3- Star Review Right before thanksgiving i had a leak and had a reset done. My original review would not let me edit and update it. Update: The leak returned a few days later. It must have been under the toilet within 24 hours because the sealant he packed around the toilet melted away and never set. I would have updated sooner but between then and now i had a new baby. I updated the stars due to the cost of the reset and now having to have someone else come out and reset it again. I spoke to a couple others and when i mentioned it was a flat set a couple companies suggested placing double wax rings to avoid the leak. Going to reach out the New Pro to see about having someone come back and look at it since it cost me 600 dollars the first time. read more

The TL;DR... My water heater died and New Pro replaced it in less than 24 hours at a more than fair price with great customer service. When 4 people live in a condo together, not having hot water is not an option. There are constant showers and even more constant dishwashing and hand washing (it's still a pandemic after all). When our water heater decided to fail in the evening, I jumped on the phone looking for a fast solution. After calling multiple services, Miguel & New Pro took all of my information, including pictures of the problem and scheduled a morning appointment. This is after he asked if it was an emergency that required service immediately (I declined, but was very happy he offered). The next day, Miguel and his team were on time, courteous, masked, wore booties, friendly and quick. Really just insert all the positive adjectives. Our water heater is on the roof and the guys lugged the replacement 70(!) steps up there AND fully cleaned up the mess that was the old water heater. Simply put, I'm 100% pleased with my service and you should feel more than comfortable contacting New Pro for your plumbing needs. read more

Hard-Core sales, really unpleasant. Continually tried to sell me with every technique including "I can call my boss for a better price", introducing panic "this is an emergency and all of the plumbing must be turned off immediately" and fear of mold "you have to call remediation people right now to prevent mold". Kept not giving me a written bid to compare to others, instead kept offering increasingly desperate verbal offers to "save me money". Finally told me it would cost $4,500. to fix 5 feet of pipe. I instead called a friend and had it all fixed for $550. The very worst example of opportunistic repair people who do not charge an honest rate for the work at hand and use fear and lack of knowledge to take advantage of clients. read more

Our toilet was running non-stop, so we called and made an appointment figuring it would be a simple fix. When the plumber showed up hours outside the window he was supposed to, he took a quick look and said the toilet was completely broken, quoting us at $1200 for a full replacement or $600 for just the tank fix.
