I like Dr Bassell and his nursing staff but the front desk staff needs help. The Dr called a Rx…read moreinto CVS which they found out needed to be pre-approved by my insurance company first. CVS sent the request to the Dr's office but received no response. I called the front desk staff and they said they didn't receive the form from CVS yet. I called CVS again and they said they don't send a form, they send the number where the Dr's office needs to call to get pre-approval. CVS said they sent it 3 times and showed it went through successfully. I called back to the Dr's office again and they said they didn't have anything from CVS for me. Really?!?! Forget it. I guess I don't need the meds as much as I thought, so I also won't need that follow up visit in 1 year either. Find competent staff or you're going to keep losing patients.

My father was being treated by Dr. Paul Arnold for bladder cancer…read more My father was told he needed to have his bladder removed due to the cancer. Dr. Paul Arnold told my father he would schedule this surgery to be performed at either North Pinellas Hospital or Mease Countryside Hospital. This was told to my father November 2014. Dr. Paul Arnold never scheduled this surgery. There was always an excuse. When my father was diagnosed terminal - sorry nothing more I can do for you- my dad told us he was given false hope from the one person he thought would give him more years to live, that he trusted to care for him. My father died of bladder cancer April 1, 2015.

Had a really good experience with my husbands vasectomy. This is a big choice and most men I think…read moreare scared to even google what it is. I think that the office can use a bit of sprucing up and the website to be upgraded a bit. It's a pretty self explanatory process. You just go to the site. Watch a video. Pay your deposit and then set up your appt. the day of the appointment you meet face to face with the doctor and the procedure is done within 15 mins or less. They give you a sheet of rules to follow which basically says no strenuous activity for a few days. My husband didn't complain of discomfort just slight burn which disappeared the next day. So far so good and would recommend going to this office over others in the Bay Area hands down. They didn't take our insurance but honestly I would pay any amount of money to go with a trusted surgeon on such a delicate matter. Lastly, the doctor gave us his business card to call with any questions. When my husband called with a few questions. The doctor actually answered the phone and answered his questions. When does any doctor give their contact info now and days??? Never! Great job and appreciate it!
