Like a lot of medical specialists these days, Advanced Urology Institute is a group of urologists that share offices and staff. They specialize in prostate cancer treatment, bladder problems, kidney stones and general urology issues. Their offices are nicely upscale. On my visit, their waiting room was quite crowded. My former urologist had retired so I was here to get established with a new doctor. I was seen by Dr. Raval and I couldn't be more pleased. He was pleasant and very knowledgeable. Despite the overcrowded waiting room, I was called back to the examining room right at my appointment time. I was amazed! Overall, I had an excellent experience.

His office staff received pathology report on Jan. 16th and doctor at rehab center and our family were anxiously waiting if mass was cancerous. I called his office for 10 days and left message after message urging them to send report. The two women,Kelly and Rachel returned my call one time and told me doctor will call you. they have no compassion, empathy, or understanding of the magnitude of information we all wanted. After 17 days on Jan.29th I threatened them with attorney and Florida med. review board and went to their office. they told me doctor would call me and I said I was not leaving till I got the report. Doctor Hubsher on phone at his office released the report to me and faxed it to the rehab center. CVS sent the request to the Dr's office but received no response. I called the front desk staff and they said they didn't receive the form from CVS yet. I called CVS again and they said they don't send a form, they send the number where the Dr's office needs to call to get pre-approval. CVS said they sent it 3 times and showed it went through successfully. I called back to the Dr's office again and they said they didn't have anything from CVS for me. Really?!?! Forget it. I guess I don't need the meds as much as I thought, so I also won't need that follow up visit in 1 year either. Find competent staff or you're going to keep losing patients.

Their office is spotless and as you'll see in the picture, the decor is white and there's a beautiful handmade tree trunk that climbs up the wall and on the ceiling are bougainvillea flowers. It's quite attractive and very calming and peaceful when you walk in. The staff is always very nice. Very helpful. The quality of care that you get is top-of-the-line. The type of care is OB/GYN or gynecology and other things in between the female anatomy. Dr. K is very friendly. She answers all your questions and she make sure that you're satisfied with all your questions that you may have and she make sure that you understand the answers before you leave. Sometimes they run a little bit behind, but that's to be expected because she's extremely good at her job and women wait to see her. So if you're in the market for an OB/GYN or a gynecologist give Dr. K a try. Her office is located in Trinity, Florida and you will be very happy that you went to see her with all of your female needs.

I was scheduled to see a doctor's assistant today as a follow-up after 2 previous visits. When the doctor first scheduled me for a follow-up, I phoned their 1-727-771-0600 number and was quoted about $165 for a follow -up visit (I'm self-pay). I waited a month and called them and scheduled my follow -up visit and asked the lady on the phone (Kathleen) the cost just to make sure. Kathleen told me it would be about $165. plus any additional tests. Today Sarah in the office insisted the price was about $205. I explained to her about being quoted $165. 2x. She said that I must have dialed the wrong number when I made the appointment???? I was willing to blow this off but when I went to check-out, I requested to have my bill itemized because the prior 2x I had visits AUI charged me like I had insurance instead of self-pay. The woman behind the desk told me that it takes 2 days to itemize the bill. I nicely asked for clarification and one of woman at the desk had a tantrum and got very nasty with me. Obviously, these women have had no training in customer service and this is what you will be dealing with at AUI.

Pay your deposit and then set up your appt. the day of the appointment you meet face to face with the doctor and the procedure is done within 15 mins or less. They give you a sheet of rules to follow which basically says no strenuous activity for a few days. My husband didn't complain of discomfort just slight burn which disappeared the next day. So far so good and would recommend going to this office over others in the Bay Area hands down. They didn't take our insurance but honestly I would pay any amount of money to go with a trusted surgeon on such a delicate matter.
