Bayside Urology has two locations. It has different phone numbers for each. I called the one which…read morewas closest to me. I set an appointment for 3 weeks out. Yesterday, Monday, I arrived for my appointment only to be told I was at a location where Dr Cesar Abreu, only goes to on Fridays. The receptionist at the location I arrived at said," oh yes, this happens every day, people with appointments turn up here, you need to call them". Sure enough they had not told me I needed to go to their location across the other side of town. I arrived, & checked in. I was there at 11:35 instead of 11:30. Only 5 minutes late. I then sat in the waiting room for 45 minutes. In the waiting room was a glass window for the receptionist. She sat inside, another man was to her left, he was also clerical. At the back of the room, right in view of everyone in the waiting room, was a third person. This turned out to be the nurse. I was called into that room where I was weighed & blood pressure taken. A rather stoic nurse, she asked 3 questions. Do you drink ? How much do you drink each month & are you in pain. After answering I was ushered into a room. It had & examination table, a chair & a stool along with the normal cabinets & sink. In the cabinet was a laptop, open with blank screen. Some minutes later a voice came from the screen. I was asked to move in front of the screen. A brief conversation went on about my condition & why I was there. In less than two minutes a diagnosis was rendered. There was no meeting. There were no records. There were no tests. NOTHING. His diagnoses crushed me. I had two choices. Shots in the penis or a penal implant. It was rather like getting a fortune cookie from a virtual waiter. At least a fortune cookie does masquerade as a trained doctor, but it would have been just as accurate and professional as the results I got from Dr Cesar Abreu. Obviously, there was a tidy profit for him had I selected one of his choices. They would both have led to surgery eventually. Questions, why did I have to leave my home for this. I can do zoom meetings. How can any doctor recommend surgery without any examination? Without blood tests ? Without prostrate exam ? WITHOUT KNOWING. I would not trust this guy with my neighbor's cat. Just my opinion & experience.

They told him to drink more water and NEVER ordered a CT or MRI despite alarming symptoms that they dismissed despite my father going back to see them multiple times during those 15 months. I went with him to an appointment to demand imaging and the ARNP said she recommended hyperbaric chamber therapy. We declined her recommendation and demanded imaging. He was diagnosed with a VERY aggressive cancer soon after and passed away 3 months later. Had they done imaging when his symptoms began 15 months prior, he likely would have received treatment sooner and the cancer would likely not have been stage 4 when he was diagnosed. And most importantly, I would still have my father. I would NEVER recommend Dr. Hubsher or his nurse practioner to anyone.
