Dr. Keene has been my primary care physician, specializing in endocrinology, for the last 3 years. I was very sad to hear he had left the Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group in Largo. They've had a huge exodus of great doctors, allegedly because it's all about bill, bill, bill. "Get more patients back for more appointments that are shorter so we can bill more, bill more bill more." Very Sad. Obvi, Dr. Keene's outstanding bedside manner didn't jibe well with this corporate culture. They're such douche bags at Diagnostic Clinic Medical Group that they will try not to honor your records request. By HIPPA, they MUST send your records if requested, but they're demanding elderly and infirm people to come in, in person, and sign for their records. THIS IS AGAINST THE LAW. If they pull this on you, say this: "If you fail to follow HIPPA and transmit my records within the next 48 hours, I will notify the office of Ashley Moody, attorney general of Florida. I'm told she already has a file on you, to which I will add my complaint."

About two weeks ago my mom was admitted after a stroke and everyone from the ER triage nurses to the people delivering meal trays were just so nice, helpful and patient with my mother and kept our family up to date with things regarding her health. Since we spent a few long days at the hospital we were given a cart with tea, coffee, bottled water, soft drinks, fruit and snacks every day that were were there. That was completely unexpected and so appreciated. I especially appreciate the nurses in the Neuro ICU unit and the nurses in the third floor comfort care unit. Their compassion and was incredible especially since such an awful time in our lives. They have a DD downstairs in the lobby and a cafeteria where the food actually isn't bad at all. They even provide meals free of charge sent to the patient's room if you want.

My barely 25‑year‑old daughter, Taylor, died after what multiple independent physicians and an…read moreautopsy have confirmed was reckless medical negligence and neglect in an HCA Florida Hospital where she was taken after being rear‑ended at a red light. Her internal bleeding went undiagnosed for about eight hours despite glaring signs. Once imaging was finally ordered and active internal bleeding was confirmed, surgery was delayed for roughly seven more hours. In the meantime, the doctor ordered mass blood transfusion in an improper way that worsened her condition instead of stabilizing her, while failing to move the central line that was improperly placed and that the radiologist recommended be repositioned. HCA Healthcare has faced no consequences, and there is no way for people researching physicians through the Florida Department of Health (DOH), the medical licensing board, to see what happened to my daughter. Because she was 25, unmarried, and had no children, Florida's 'Free Kill' law strategically blocked me from pursuing legal recourse to ensure the hospital and its physicians are held accountable so the harm does not continue. He adjusted the needle which caused another extremely painful shock that ran all the way down my body. I immediately became sick and was on the verge of vomiting. I went to my car and laid in the back seat. The nausea & painful pinging would not subside for the remainder of the day. I emailed the office twice explaining the situation in which I received no response. The following day, my arm from my elbow to my hand was completely numb and had very little strength. I would experience bouts of very uncomfortable burning in my hand as well. I got ahold of the office via the phone and asked for them to please notate this in my record (I would later find that they never did this). They said that one of their technicians would be available later in the week to scan my arm. This appointment was very quick. The technician ran a wand down my arm, said she didn't see anything and then gave me a sling for my arm. My arm remained in this sling for nearly a month as all functionality was lost. The occasional pinging & burning pains did not subside for months even after regaining strength in my arm. Fast forward to today 7/24/24 and I received a call from the front office in an attempt to collect money from these appointments. I said that I would pay for the blood draw but did not think it was fair to be charged for the nerve inspection as this appointment would not have been necessary if they did not damage my arm in the first place. The representative put me on hold to "speak to her boss". She then returned and stated that I would still have to pay for it. I also learned during this call that no mention of the damage was notated in my record. My entire experience with this medical center has felt so gross. I obviously do not recommend this place and pray that nobody else gets screwed like I did. For context, the screenshots below are the 2 emails I sent while lying in my car immediately after having blood drawn. I remember being too sick to get up and legitimately worried that something was permanently damaged. Fun experience.

When you aren't feeling well and you know that something is wrong you go to the doctor. You expect…read morethat doctor to listen to you - listen to your symptoms, how long you've been dealing with the issues, etc and then try to get to the root of the problem and treat you. Before coming to Dr. Trevino I had seen several doctors, all of which either did not know what was causing my health issues (and didn't make much of an effort to figure it out) or brushed me off. Dr. Trevino was recommended to me so I made an appointment, even though he is located over an hour from my home. I figured this appointment was going to go like the rest of them, but I took a shot. First, scheduling an appointment was easy. The office staff is friendly, and I got an appointment within the month. When I arrived at the office I only waited a few minutes to be seen. The office was not overflowing with double-booked patients as is usually the case with most offices. This office actually has you seen by your appointment time (or very close to it). Dr. Trevino asked me what was going on and listened quietly as I talked about the issues I had been going through. He performed a test in the office and let me know what he thought was going on. He was able to link all of my symptoms except one, and referred me to a specialist about that. His explanation of the condition was thorough. He asked me if I had questions, listened to them, and provided me with answers. He came up with a treatment plan using both medicine and lifestyle changes, and again explained all of the reasoning behind why the medicine and lifestyle changes help the condition. I have seen him quite a few times since the first visit and each time Dr. Trevino is patient and works with you to tailor your treatment plan. He figures out what is working and what is not, and comes up with ideas to work on to get you feeling better. Dr. Trevino is an internal medicine doctor, but does treat a lot of patients with Dysautonomia. He is very knowledgeable about the conditions and stays on top of research. I would absolutely recommend Dr. Trevino is you have one of these conditions.

Everyone takes the necessary time to provide me with a superb echocardiogram experience. Although I was greeted by a most congenial receptionist at the registration desk, I must say that it was the actual testing performed by a staff member, only known to me by her Armenian/Ukrainian heritage, that pleased me most. She has a pleasant talking voice. Knowledgeable skills were clearly on display throughout the entire testing process. Dr. Jesse Klein, DO, who treated my heart attack back in 2020 displays an extremely high level of professional expertise, combined with a consistent caring attitude. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

When this test was scheduled, we warned that surgery was 2 days away and the report needed to be expedited. We were assured this was doable. AT 5:00 pm THE NIGHT BEFORE SURGERY were told many others had called on our behalf and got voice mail or non answers so we found OURSELVES trying to locate the report , unaware of the processes or handoffs between the two facilities . In desperation, we asked for help from Sandy, executive assistant to Adam Rudd , largo medical CEO . She reported --the next day--that she was only able to "leave a message" as well. If the CEOs office can't get results, does that Tell you something? Without this report and no clearance, our long planned/ awaited surgery was cancelled. Afterwards , we wrote both facilities to try to find the point of failure to prevent another patient from this experience, due to some lost report, in pain for another month. The Heart Institute seemed somewhat aware of THEIR role in the dropped ball yet both institutions pointed fingers, lacked interest in resolving. Why not more concern over So many disrupted schedules , many medical personnel hours and resources wasted from canceling an 8 hour surgery the night before? Or how about any empathy or apology for the patient and family forced to reschedule, re-test, waiting in pain? We specifically emailed the Largo medical CEO Adam Rudd 3 times between 1/30/22 and 2/1/22, while being assured by his assistant Sandy that he'd respond. We again called and requested he review our communications. Nothing received as of 3/1/22. If you need their services, be sure to navigate every possible point of failure because They don't seem to care.
