Service is deplorable. We have been waiting over an hour for our food. It really doesn't matter now if the food is good or not.

The waitress brought water and menus then disappeared. We had to go look for her to take our order. Another waitress finally showed up and was very unfriendly and short. The food, meatloaf, potatoes, broccoli arrived and was mediocre at best. Meatloaf was loaded with fillers and smothered in tasteless gravy. Less than quarter cup of potatoes smothered in gravy and broccoli was mostly stems and small pieces. Waitress never stopped by to check how things were. We used to rave about this place but sadly, no more. Finally, we had to go look for our waitress for the bill. No thank you, no come back soon, no appreciation for stopping by. Probably won't be back.

They are cash and check only right now so when we arrived and met my MIL at the booth I had $5 in my purse and I put it on the table while I was thinking about it because it was the only cash I had. MIL was paying for the bill. Our waitress (back of her shirt said Sofi) approached very nice at first, then noticed the $5 and asked if it was already there. I told her no, that I had just put it there. She looks at me funny and walks away. She goes over to the kitchen area (not far away) and yells that I STOLE her money. We then hear someone say something about checking cameras. PLEASE DO!! I hope you do check the camera! That way you can see my pull the $5 out of MY purse and put it on the table. Anyway, after that she was just really rude to us while being friendly to everyone else. She wouldn't even give us our check, she had the hostess do it, who was also rude and argued with MIL over change. Probably because of the stupid "scene" the waitress pulled. Just absolutely juvenile, immature, childish, petty behavior. I can put my money on the table any time I want while I'm dining, that does NOT give anyone the right to accuse someone of stealing OR of lying. My MIL tried to explain to her as well that it was MY $5 that I took out of MY purse and she just yelled OK in her face. This is such low quality behavior, but I left the $5 anyway, because i'm an honest and good person even though she didn't deserve a penny after how she treated us. Absolutely ridiculous.

The ambience is just so elegant and romantic. The menu lights up as you open it and everything on it sounded delicious. The servers, Peter and Emily, were so fun and helpful! They brought out these heavenly yeast rolls basted in truffle butter...what??? I got the market fish special which was grouper, and my husband got the grilled pork chop. Come with an empty stomach if you get the pork chop. It is a very generous portion and is delicious! The grouper was perfection...crispy on the outside, light and flakey inside, sitting atop beautiful spring vegetables and a lovely light beurre blanc sauce. It was topped with edible flowers and micro greens. I regret that I did not take a photo (we were so hungry), but it was just divine. The chef came over to ask what we thought and we told him everything was amazing. The staff were absolutely lovely. We can't say enough good things. This is what a restaurant experience on vacation should be like. What a gem! Hopefully next time we visit we can try the dessert menu! We won't even get into how they make bread pudding out of those delicious rolls...

We happened to stumble upon this gem randomly during our trip to Hot Springs, Arkansas not expecting much but wow were we absolutely blown away. First, you walk into a dimly lit, intimate dining area and seated at a table with very comfy chairs and menus that light up for visibility. Next, your waiter is SO knowledgeable about every item on the menu. I had history lessons about the rice production in the area while learning about which dishes to choose. While waiting for your food, you are served an edgy orange-glazed dinner roll that is simultaneously intriguing and comfortingly familiar. A delicious twist on a classic. The head chef also came around serving an amuse-bouche of another experimental apple dish which was an explosion of flavor in my mouth. Food comes- oh my goodness I cannot explain how amazing the Chislic beef tips were. Every component of this dish was just so thoughtfully crafted and well-blended. Each bite was bursting with flavor and energy. My partner also loved the potato soup. Our mains were equally impressive- my fennel rice in particular knocked my socks off. I have never tasted rice so decadent and aromatic in my life. The salmon was of course great but certainly not the star of the show. Finally, the bread pudding at the end was the cherry on top of the culinary bliss we had just experienced. I would drive 10 hours back to Hot Springs just for this restaurant. So sad it has to be so far. Do not miss your opportunity to come here if you happen to be in town!!

The only thing I really didn't love about this cabin was the stickiness and lack of smoothness on the kitchen table. Also, I was a little bummed to find out that the restaurant was not open. Otherwise, it had so much charm in this semi remote area outside of Hot Springs, AR, next to Lake Ouachita. The bath towels were shaped like ducks. The back porch had a fabulous view of the lake and the rising sun. Tall trees surrounded us. Finally, not only was the hostess an absolute sweetheart, but she even sent a handwritten thank you card to our house after we departed. Who does that anymore?! It was $184 per night, not including taxes. I cooked breakfast both mornings & had all the cookware and utensils I needed. Wi-Fi and TV service worked great. My oldest daughter and I shared a queen bed while the other kiddo slept on the pullout couch and it was surprisingly comfortable. Our dog had plenty of room for her bed on the floor. Our dog went on lovely walks with us in the evenings. There was a swimming area on the opposite side of the lake that we all enjoyed. Dogs were not allowed there, though. I loved this area. The weather was mid 90s with no thunderstorms or cloud coverage, but I'd go back even during another summer in a heartbeat. Highly recommend.
