The first time I ever went to this place was when I was a student which is hard to believe given that I have been in Liverpool a long time. I can't find much to fault with the food and service which is good but beware that the deep fried chicken is very greasy so certainly not for the health conscious. Pizzas are generally good depending on one's taste. I once ordered a chicken and ham topping 9inch in diameter, which not only satisfied my taste buds but actually filled me up and I paid just £3. The crust was medium thickness with a crispy and rich spicy tomato sauce. The only negative I would note is that the interior décor is dated and there aren't many seats for it being the busy place it is.

Now there is one less reason to go back to the US, I just had possibly the best fried chicken ever. I was just wandering around Liverpool after a movie and decided to go into Yard & Coop, best decision ever. I ordered the chicken drumsticks. Was worried it would not be enough (they did not give quantity) but I wasn't very hungry so figured I would stick with just that one dish. Turned out it was five large drumsticks. It also comes with one sauce, I ordered Korean BBQ. The chicken was incredible, crispy and so tasty that I could not bring myself to even use the sauce. I also upgraded to dirty fries and they were also great. Fries drenched in cheese (I believe blue and cheddar) and BBQ sauce. I am usually a fries purist but these were so good I scraped the plate with my fork. Next time I am in Liverpool, will be my first stop.
