The interior is open and really welcoming. It's not short staffed, plenty of folks working. Smart, happy, helpful people. And I hope that embarrasses them. I got chicken Marsala. Comes with two sides, I got redskin mashed and a salad w/the BEST balsamic I have ever had in memory, recent and long-term. I never mention a salad. It's green and full of veg. Yeah, but this was great. The chicken Marsala was a sizable portion, breast in tenderloins lightly seasoned floured and served in a rich dark perfectly seasoned Marsala wine sauce. Just the right amount of sweet. The redskins were served hot, in their own crock, and no butter or gravy with it. That wine sauce paired with the potato amazingly well. I usually flood mashed with butter and gravy. THESE mashed were great tasting, but not full of butter like some places use to enhance flavor. These did not need the butter assist. Just. Great. And Linda had onion rings (crisp tempura crust and real onion rings and HOT) with the fried haddock, which I had a bite or two there, and will finish what Linda brought home in maybe ten minutes. Again, hot and tasty. Perfectly cooked. Crispy breading on a thick large haddock filet. The breading sealed the fish, so hitting it with that fork released some steam. Oh, and a crock of Mac and cheese too. And again, great wait staff. I mean, every person there. And the other folks eating there too. I'd have zero issues bringing the kids or Nona and Dadoo here.
