I've called this business twice now for the removal of a vehicle that does not have a pass for my apartment's lot. Both times someone answered the phone and said "yeah" and waited for me to speak. My car was parked for not even 5 minutes in an area that was not a private lot and it seems they towed it right away and when I called to ask it was super unprofessional and they only wanted cash, no receipt, or nothing; very frustrating. PREDATORY. Apt manager apparently contracted with this thieving towing company. I've had the same parking permit since I signed the lease 7 months ago that was placed on my car by the apt leasing agent. Pat's stealthily swept the parking lot at 1:30 a.m. yesterday morning with no apt manager on site to guide the process. They've swept it before and didn't tow my car, a fact that even the apt manager acknowledged. Random acts of extortion. When I arrived at the tow lot with all my documents to prove ownership dude didn't even ask if I owned the vehicle - anybody could have picked it up with $180 in their pocket. He didn't get out of his tow truck and after I gave him the money he drove off. I chased him down and got a receipt. Btw I'm a senior citizen... it was pathetic that an old lady had to chase down the tow truck. What was he afraid of? My mechanic will go over my vehicle to check for damage, per legal advice. I spoke to the manager when I got back home and she'll credit the $180 back to me however, I cautioned, they need to be air tight when they authorize a sweep. It would be wise to work with a reputable towing company and have a manager on site during a sweep to be sure the tow truck drivers are not preying on residents. Horrible and unprofessional, at my apartment complex they only pick the nice looking cars to tow and are completely unprofessional about the returns. Plus I got towed even though I had a permit/sticker. I understand that no one likes their car being towed for whatever reason, so these people probably don't care about negative reviews because they think it's all disgruntled people. Believe me. They seem to tow only when they are "hungry" - during the week when parking is plentiful. Weekends, I may understand them being stealth and buzzing in/out. But an entire parking lot, tons of spots and they pull cars from the easiest spots and not the areas that need to be "policed." And they are "CASH ONLY"??? read more

Terrible. They are the tow company for my apartment complex and have now tried to tow my car twice despite my having the appropriate permit hanging in my rearview mirror. The first time they towed my car (with no reason) they would not answer the phone for almost an hour, told us they would call back to see the status of our car (at that point we didn't know if had been towed or STOLEN since we knew we had our permit in it) and never called back, refused to let us see our car before we paid which meant we had to wait until the morning when there were actually people working there instead of two shady dudes in a tow truck on a dark street corner. The next morning they still gave us problems before finally returning our money and our car. Now they have tried to tow our car again, but didn't get as far. Well I guess if I needed Pats Towing, they would come to my rescue. In this particular case, I live in the apartment building with permit parking only, and I still got towed because my sign wasn't in the window or I briefly parked in a handicap zone that's never used by a handicap residents. All because of a freaking sign. Go out to drive to work and no car. So I loose a day of work and gotta spend my rent money to get my car back. read more

I can't even give this place 1 star, what crooks they are, literally held my car hostage until they were paid in cash. I called the police and suddenly they would accept a credit card, they should have been arrested along with the business owner who hired them. They were literally sitting with the business owner and if a car parked in the wrong spot, they hooked it up to the tow truck, then went and got the owner and the demanded cash money, no credit. If you didn't pay the driver cursed you out.... next time you see these crooks trying to take someone's car, call the police first. read more

Pat's Towing is Unreliable and unprofessional. They never come pick up illegal parked cars. EVER!!! What a waste. This is why I am going to stop referring them. I might as well give them FREE marketing) they deserve it. MrKitts even has excellent reviews. Compare Pat's to Mrkitts on Yelp and Google and you'll see a big difference on the two companies. I was told I could use a credit card to tow my car to the mechanic. At the last minute they changed their mind and I had to find another truck. He said he was worried I could dispute the charge later without my signature. However every mail order over the phone works this way.
