Bologna and eggs with biscuit and homemade gravy
    Jay W.

Was in town for business and was hungry. So I look up diner and pat's cafe popped up. So I decided to try it out the servers were amazing never let my coffee get below a half of cup. I order my food came out in the matter of ten minutes. It was delicious. When I am back in town I will be visiting pat's again . I will send anyone that I know that is in town to this diner. Amazing food and amazing service!!!!

In the area early for business, so went Pat's Cafe for breakfast after reading the Yelp! reviews. Oh My! One star is too high! (Attention: 6 picture posted by user "Holly W" are not related with this establishment. Be aware of this, if you were attracted by those photos, like myself. ) We ordered 2 coffee, two omelette (come with biscuit and gravy), country ham, hash browns, bacon strips, and French toast. The southern omelette is a pre-cooked egg shell, with uncooked veg mix and diced ham thrown on the shell, and fold. The cheese they used, is some cheapest sandwich cheese, slightly melt and mix with tomato juice, so it just looks like some throw-up. The tomato (from a can), green pepper and ham are all cold. The whole thing is just grossss. See pic. Negative 2-star. Biscuit is from bisquik bag mix and also uncooked inside, a small chunk of some wet flour sticked to the back of my teeth for a long, long time. Negative 3-star. Gravy is straight plain glue, no flavor, no butter, just slight salted luke-warm glue. I added black pepper, it didn't help. Negative 3-star. Country ham....can not have a half order like most other breakfast places; it is pre-cooked and then browned a little upon an order, very salty and tastes salty only, not cooked properly (should add some brown sugar and mix w/hot water to simmer the ham for a few minutes, then finish with slightly brown. To pre-cook ham in quantity is okay, but at least, pre-cook ham in the right way ok?). 1-star. Bacon is alright...guess it is difficult to mess up with bacon. Not awesome, but alright. So 3-star. Bacon cheese omelette is eatable, maybe a 2-star. This is the only eatable and filling item. 2 of us ordered $26 worth of breakfast food, so we are not eating cheap, nor just had some bad luck and ordered the wrong things. Ok this made us didn't leave too hungry so bump it to 3-star. Coffee mugs are huge, so if you don't drink it super fast, you will have half mug of cold coffee constantly. 1-star. Waitress comes to ask "if you need more coffee" with empty hands. 0-star. Hash browns are plain and eatable, 2-star. French toast....lack of egg, my max guess is: dipped in a thin layer of boxed egg beater. 1-star. That is about all that we ordered, left almost one omelette, one country ham and 2 biscuit and gravy, untouched, on the plates. Waited for a long time to get a bill, nobody came. We went to the cashier, and helped the staff to figure out our orders and paid $26.xx. Negative 2-star again for the waiting person lack of attention and service. Nobody apologized, guess it is normal. Still left a $2 tip. We usually tip 25% for decent service and food. In all, we sure will not come back. The parking lot and restaurant are both almost full on this rainy Tuesday morning, so they must be a very very popular place. One review said it is owned by 3 generations from the same family. But, the food quality is amAzingly...poor. Thought there would be some grandma-touch on the food...nah... Cooking breakfast is not rocket science. At home, I cook the whole family awesome biscuit and gravy, mouth watering country ham, fluffy and moist omelette, heart warming French toasts, etc, for Saturday breakfast; and they are look good and taste good from my first try, and I am an immigrant from Asia...., we don't have any of these in our cuisine. I read from Internet then duplicate what I had read and voila! So to tell from my experience, cooking a good American traditional breakfast is Not rocket science....come on, where has the good ol' southern breakfast gone, where did the grandma biscuit and gravy go??

A couple young girls, possibly working a summer job with minimal waitress experience, ignored me after taking my order. The building was built in 1860. The original storefront was a pharmacy with rich woodworking that still existed; it is a very cool atmosphere. You'll enjoy hot, fresh plates, friendly service, and a true small-town vibe in a town with nearly 200 years of history. We started off with onion rings and wings. I wanted to try the fried green beans but did not get the chance, as I wanted to really try what's advertised as the best burger in TN. I ordered the 1/2 lb Double Bacon Cheeseburger, while my wife opted for the small 1/3 pound double bacon Cheese Burger. They both come with standard toppings of Mayo, mustard ketchsup, lettuce, tomatos onloin and pickles on a fresh sesame seed bun. I have to say that they lived up to the hype; we both agreed they were some of the best burgers we have had. The steak fries are also excellent with just the right amount of doneness and crispiness. My wife had the sweet potato fries as her option with the same opinion. Also, the railroad museum and the Colonel Littleton store next door are great places to shop and enjoy local culture. While I opted for a double-dipped butter pecan, which was excellent as well. My wife went the more traditional route with a hot fudge and peanut milkshake. While things were a little slow compared to other places, I was reminded by my wife of one the other reviews we read: " remember they are cooking your food fresh so it's not McDonald's..." This is in line with the slow, laid-back, relaxed atmosphere that makes this place all the better. This is a must-try if you are in the area. Highly recommend

We all loved the Giddy Up Espresso Martinis, which were topped with adorable soccer ball design in celebration of the World Cup. We also enjoyed the Serrano & Jalapeño Bloody Mary (definitely brings the heat!), along with the Two to Mango Margarita and the returning Endless Summer Margarita, each had their own place and none disappointed! For brunch, I ordered the Southwest Breakfast Bowl. It was fresh, colorful, and packed with vegetables, making it feel nourishing without being heavy. The flavors worked well together, especially the combination of eggs, veggies, and southwest-inspired seasonings. My only suggestion would be adding a starch element, such as crispy breakfast potatoes or roasted sweet potatoes, to provide a little more texture and make the bowl feel more balanced and substantial. Even so, it was flavorful, fresh, and thoughtfully prepared. What really stood out was the service. Our team was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about both the food and drink menu, making the entire experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. Overall, a great spot for brunch with friends, especially if you're looking for creative cocktails, a lively atmosphere, and excellent hospitality. I'll definitely be back for another round of drinks and for sure that Endless Summer Margarita.

We were seated promptly, our waiter was friendly and attentive, and our drinks and appetizer came out quickly, so the evening started off on a positive note. Unfortunately, when it was time to order our entrees, we were told that several menu items were unavailable. I ended up having to choose something I normally wouldn't have ordered because so many of the options I wanted weren't available. My son enjoyed his meal, but my chicken gnocchi was very disappointing. It had almost no flavor, and the texture was so soft that it was more like mush than a pasta dish. To make matters worse, the air conditioning wasn't working, and while I understand equipment can fail, the dining room was quite warm despite several fans running. Our server was kind and did his best, but overall the experience didn't match what I would expect from a high-end restaurant. Spending nearly $200 on a birthday dinner that ended up feeling average at best was disappointing. I hope the restaurant can address the menu availability, food quality, and facility issues because I really wanted this to be a memorable celebration for my son for all the right reasons. I really want to come back and have a better experience.

The small signage made it a little difficult to find inside the Marriott (see pictures), but from the moment we walked in, heard the live piano player and saw the dining area - we knew this would be a great experience. We started off by sharing orders of Lobster Bisque (see picture) and Burrata with Toast (see pictures). We really enjoyed both of them - the Lobster Bisque was so creamy and smooth and the Burrata was cool, fresh and clean. They were a great combination to start our dinner experience and I would recommend both of them. Since it was a Friday during lent, my wife opted for the BBQ Shrimp Pasta (see picture) and I went with the Daily Fish Special on Blue Corn Grits (see picture). As we always do when we go out, we shared our plates and really enjoyed both of them. The BBQ Shrimp Pasta was rich, buttery and smooth and the Fish Special was a tasty white, flaky and blackened fish served on a bed of rich, creamy blue corn grits. Here again, both are highly recommended. While it is one of your more expensive area stops for dinner, you will appreciate the food quality and presentation at Gannons Nashville for your next special occasion.
