Adam is a certified arborist and came by to assess our trees. He explained the process so that we understood the approach he was taking. He provided us a written, itemized estimate that day. His fees were very fair. He was out a few days later on an agreed day with another crew member to take care of our trees. He took the time to make sure he addressed our requests (we wanted to keep squirrels from accessing our second story) while at the same time trimming the trees in a way that was best for them, which is his expertise as an arborist. He was able to answer our questions as well. He and his partner finished the job within the day and left without leaving any debris. He also left us a pile of mulch at our request. It may not be the norm, but we know how to use it. Trees are not only beautiful, they're also an asset to properties. Like any other asset, I'd only entrust its care to someone qualified with experience. Many tree services do not have a certified arborist doing the actual trimming, so they trim the trees in ways that are not beneficial to the tree, even if it "looks right". I'm very happy with the work PTS did on our trees. Since we have cedar elms in our backyard, they'll need trimming at least every other year. We had Patriot Tree Service remove two trees that were close to the house. It was interesting to watch them use the cherry picker to manuever the removal of branches, we were never concerned about damage being done to the house. I highly recommend them for any work you need done. They cleaned up everything in the yard, chipped out the stumps as well. They were reasonably priced and very punctual. They did exactly as I requested, except where they stopped me with their Arborist expertise from making mistakes that would have damaged or killed my trees. Adam was awesome! I had a tree that was hit with straight line winds and two of the limbs in the middle top portion of the tree had cracked and needed to be removed. Adam had all of the equipment he needed for the job and not only removed the two limbs but also a dozen other branches I didn't see from the ground. He worked quickly but safely and I couldn't be happier. I needed a tree removed and the stump ground. I had someone that would come out a day sooner and was the same price but I decided to go with Adam instead because of the reviews. He came out when he promised. When I got home I noticed a big root about half an inch below the debris he left. And, there was another one sticking out right next to it. I called him at 7:30pm at his work number and left a message asking about it because I was concerned the mowers would run over it. He called me right back and proceeded to chew me out over the phone. He said I shouldn't call him outside of work hours (I left a message and he called me back) and that he did it himself so he knew he did it right no matter what I said and I probably just dug up the root. I have never dealt with someone so rude that I had hired to do a job. He came out the next day and left me a nasty message saying that he removed the root "by hand in order to get paid". I paid him that same day. He left the other root sticking out but I just chopped it off rather than deal with him. I will never work with him again. Maybe if you don't have problems, you'll be okay. But if you do, be prepared to be chewed out and told how it's your fault. read more
