I got bids from 4 different companies, but I knew right away I'd be hiring Green Triangle. Victor knows trees and showed me three of the many Douglas Fir trees that were diseased and had to come down. He walked the property taking notes. We have an acre. He and his crew also got rid of enormous patches of blackberries and scotch broom, clearing the pasture and cleaning up the front and back yards. He had a huge job to do, left the site clean, and did excellent work. He also had appropriate equipment (which was good, because enormous limbs of the overgrown trees were being chipped just about all day). The cost was very reasonable as well. This one was by far my favorite and I was pleasantly surprised at how competitive their bid was considering the high quality, detailed evaluation Chris did for the estimate. His staff he brought to the site was friendly, fast, professional and experienced. We had an issue pop up and they were on it quickly, helping to troubleshot and find a solution fast. We got on the schedule quickly. We had a few trees removed, others trimmed and thinned out, and other trees in our orchard substantially pruned for health and vitality. While the work completed on the day of service was to our satisfaction, the plants we had added to our yard have pretty much died since then, even after following the very few care recommendations offered by Santos (and doing much more research on our own). Our yard now looks as bad (if not worse) than it did previously. If Santos wants to be considered a landscaping company, there should have been more assistance in regards to plant selection and placement. To add insult to injury, we paid extra money for "better quality" plants (at the recommendation of Santos), and those plants look dismal (even with regular care). Bottom line: We are left feeling we paid a lot of money for a yard that looked nice for about a week. Pro Tip: If you want yard maintenance, this is probably the right company for you, but if you want a comprehensive landscaping consult, you might want to consider other companies.
