Stopped in for some shareable's with a group of friends and ordered the following: Lemon pepper wings - good Fried cheese curds - meh House fries - absolutely not Spinach artichoke dip - ok "Totchos" (tater tot nachos) - ok Service and ambience were great, food meh. I'll definitely come back and order some of their mains to see if they are better.

My friends and I ate here before a comedy show at punchline comedy club. Great location to eat before a show. Big indoor eating area and super cute outdoor patio to enjoy on a nice day! They have happy hour 7 days a week with a good variety of items. We shared totchos and salt and vinegar fries. Both were delicious! Drinks were good and everyone enjoyed their food. The tacos were filling and fresh. Our waitress was friendly and welcoming. Really happy with our experience!

Intimate, dark atmosphere but plenty of seating and tables for large crowds, especially on Wednesday for trivia night. There's plenty of screens for watching games and an outdoor patio area (with seating) if the weather is nicer and its not too windy in FiDi. It's on the 2nd floor of the Embarcadero Center, tucked away and not the easiest spot to find unless you know where it is. Service is consistently friendly and somewhat quick, even with peak hours (like trivia nights). I'm usually there with friends and almost always stick to the happy hour deals, which are not the best I've had but great bites to be something you can always order and split while folks order drinks. There's usually a cocktail or boozy slushie of the day and the rest of the happy hour menu is great. I personally am fond of the spinach and artichoke dip. Not a date night spot, nor would it be my go-to for dinner, but it is a great hangout spot to invite a bunch of people without committing an exact number, and chat and catch up with whatever friends show up over a couple of drinks. I think that's true for most of the locals who know this gem. Trivia is a plus. I think people are always a little surprised they don't have military discounts (despite the theming of the place).

Needed to brag a quick dinner before seeing a show at the Punch Line and Patriot House was located just across the street which made it the perfect option. Service was prompt and we both enjoyed our meals. I had the chicken quesadilla which had a good amount of chicken and peppers in it. My husband got the fish and chips and was really impressed.

PUB GATHERING My co-workers stated this place used to be the Holding Company, which was a gathering place for the insurance industry. The first time I ate at the Patriot House was around August of this year as a lunch gathering for co-workers to mingle as most of us have hybrid work schedule. For lunch I ordered one of the specials - tomato risotto with salmon. I've had mixed experiences with salmon at restaurants as they tend to be overcooked. At the Patriot House the salmon wasn't overcooked, but moist. I also enjoyed the crispy skin of the salmon. With the tomato risotto this dish was hearty and filling. I washed down the dish with a soothing cider. The second time I came for another company gathering in December. I don't like order the same item twice. This time instead asking for a special I ordered an item from the menu. The item that really intrigued me was the braised beef short rib. When I received the dish the short rib was placed on a dollop of mashed potatoes. The savory beef rib matched well with the airy mashed potatoes. The portion of the short beef rib and mashed potato balanced each other. I didn't drink cider this time but ginger ale. Inside the Patriot House the decor has a dark amber color that makes this place look similar to a pub. This place has an inviting, soothing atmosphere that is opposite of a dive bar. I can see my co-workers said this place is a great gathering place in our industry. Regardless if the occasion isn't work related I can see myself come back to the Patriot House for a nice meal to eat and a cool pint to drink.

My husband and I stopped in for happy hour for the first time and were really happy we did! The food was really good. Honestly, probably the best wings I've had in San Francisco. They were meaty and large and well flavored. My husband like the sliders too. Really inexpensive happy hour meals and drinks! They also have daily specials or events happening. We happened to be there during bingo night, so got to play a few games before we went to our show. It was a nice way to break up the week! We will definitely be back! The bar itself is beautiful, and they had some great areas to watch games on TV. We took a peek at the dinner menu and they look like they have some pretty great options outside of happy hour so we'll have to check those out another time.

It's a nice pub with a great selection of beer and food. Their chicken wings are especially good. Inside, the seating is a bit dark and intimate, but they have good screens for watching sports. The outside patio is nice and bright. Their service is good and friendly.

Pure crap on a plate, perfect faire for someone on Death Row. I've tried this dump a few times with mediocre being the best compliment to offer. Today was so very special... Cheesesteak that isn't served as a cheesesteak and lacking the namesake... steak. Some bright mind decided to add red chili flakes. Good for some, not for me and this presented a dilemma. No where is this mentioned on the menu, yet it exists. Couldn't-wouldn't eat it. Certain medical conditions will not allow this. Salad a a side, cool, except for the vinaigrette which consisted on questionable balsamic and nothing more. Alternative was a "Ranch" option which was basically mayo. Again "Pure Crap". Waste of money and time.

Patriot House was one of the only places open in this area on Indigenous People's Day so we were grateful to find it! The server was very nice. The happy hour deals weren't that great (e.g., $1 off draft beer). The wings were pretty good but the spinach artichoke dip was bland and didn't come with enough bread to dip in it. I liked the salt and vinegar chips but my boyfriend thought they needed more flavoring.

While we were outside, we made friendly conversation with a bartender. I overheard another bartender come out for a cigarette and call him by name, so I jokingly used his name while asking if we could come in. Shortly after, a friend who was already inside came out simply to check on us and see why we were still outside. The bartender then told her to "get the f*ck out of my face" and instructed staff not to let her or us in, even though my friend hadn't done anything wrong. It was so confusing and extremely inappropriate. The behavior was unnecessarily hostile and disrespectful. This bar does not treat its customers with basic courtesy, and that bartender showed zero professionalism or customer service skills.

It was founded by Anton "Tony" Nikitovich and quickly became a gathering place for the neighborhood's Italian and Croatian communities, where people came to swap stories, argue politics, and enjoy a stiff drink after a long day. And honestly, that tradition carried on well into the years when many of us became regulars. I hadn't been back for a few years until recently, when I decided to stop in again. The bar wasn't overly busy, but a handful of neighborhood folks were sitting at the counter, trading stories over their drinks. It felt instantly familiar. Not much has changed since the early 2000s when I used to come here regularly, and that's exactly what makes Tony Nik's special. Step inside, and it still feels like a mid-century film set: tufted leather seating, a long wooden bar that's seen nearly a century of San Francisco history, and that iconic neon sign glowing outside. While much of the city has reinvented itself again and again, Tony Nik's somehow held onto its soul. It's a grown-up bar without being stuffy, no loud club music, no trendy gimmicks, just well-made cocktails, a classic jukebox, and an atmosphere that feels earned rather than manufactured. The bar stayed in the Nikitovich family for decades, and the current owners were wise enough to preserve both the name and the vintage character Tony originally created. It's one of those rare places that reminds you what North Beach used to be, and, thankfully, still is.
