The auction earned only about $3,100 after commissions of 35% but the move cost nearly $6,500 which seemed very expensive for moving such a short distance into a two bedroom apartment, even with the settling in service. Friends of mine have done similar moves with settling in for much less cost. In the online auction, it seemed as though items were grouped together that were unrelated so this probably reduced the value of the lots. Also, they started everything at only $1 which also seemed to contribute to the low sale values. There have been several items that I was never able to find after the auction and move, including some gold jewelry, a Rookwood vase, my measuring cups, some of my pans, a box of cat toys, and other miscellaneous items. Things that I was able to find were often in odd places where I'd have never expected them to be put, like a gardening trowel found in a mixing bowl in the pantry.

Claims to have 15 years of experience but Ill bet its not being an auctioneer. First time I've seen an auctioneer sell a piece of gold jewelry for less than half of wholesale and then tell the bidders how much it weighed and how much it was really worth after he sold it. Experienced auctioneers weigh the item and tell their bidders what its worth before they sell it. Looked rather odd to me. Experienced auctioneers don't try to cram a two-day auction into one day without help. Why? Because after 6-8 hours most of your bidders are gone and you just give the stuff away, Bad for the consignors, bad for you, hey. Experience auctioneers respect peoples time and know that the people buying fishing lures, baseball cards and tools are not the same people buying household goods, jewelry, purses and knick knacks which is why they hire a second auctioneer and have two rings going at the same time especially when you have a large venue. I had to wonder why at two of your auctions I didn't see many people bidding on your coins unlike other local coin auctions Ive been to. It didn't take long for me and them to see they were bidding against you, and though there is no law against that it can be handled a lot better. In addition, there were some nice items that were waiting to be sold that never made it to the block to sell, yet another disappointment, no one wants to sit around and wait around hours for something that doesn't get the opportunity to be sold. This is one bidder you won't see again but somehow, I don't think that maters to you.
