This annual event provides plenty of food and free parking with a live band ! The Oracle Band performed from 4pm to 9pm singing some old and new school lyrics ! The fireworks started at 915pm and lasted until 10pm. The choreographed firework show was amazing with the lights reflecting off of Laurel Lake. The community in Laurel truly appreciates this family event as the entire firework show was funded by donors. 1. Arrive two hours early to stake your seating 2. Park half at least half a mile away if you plan to stay for the entire fireworks show otherwise you'll be stuck in traffic inside a parking lot for 1 to 2 hours 3. Bring plenty of food and snacks but no alcohol 4. Last but not least, have a Happy 5th of July in Laurel !

You will not find the buy 1 get 2 gimmick, or the buy 1 get 1 gimmick. You will just find reasonably prices fireworks with a very knowledgeable dude to help you pick. Seriously, do not waste your time at tents or the other stands, just go here. You will get 3 to 4 times as much product for the same price. You might even get some bonus stuff at checkout. it is easily worth the 2+ hour ride to go here for my yearly display, but guess what, if you order $500 worth online, he will ship it to you for free... So now I can buy more, because I just saved gas money.. BOOM

Either way, the Fairfax Fair is the start of many, many blissful summer memories. A few of mine include: 1) The time I volunteered for a major sponsor of the event to dress up as the Cow from Cartoon Network's "Cow & Chicken". All of these little kids tried to pull my udders and punch me in the eye (which was conveniently located through Cow's open mouth). 2) The time my best friend performed on the Budweiser stage with her hs sign language choir. It was like an awkward scene out of Napoleon Dynamite that I will cherish in my heart forever. Whatever your age, gender, race, or socio-economic class the Fairfax Fair has something for everyone. Prices range from $30 to $250. Expect 20% tax (different types of taxes passed onto the consumer). Do a little research on what you're looking for, what's allowed by local jurisdictions, and where to safely launch. Store staff were friendly and knowledgeable and eager to help. You can't bring lighters inside, so leave any in your car or right outside the store (which is what they suggest). There's a separate area for entrance and exit, you have to read and sign a waiver, and you have to provide personal contact info. Wear a face mask or buy one on-site. It's a process. Be kind to retail staff; don't come in with a cell phone ready to test & record their reactions to their mask policy and try to go viral. I've seen so many videos of just that at other businesses.
