We've been bringing our daughter Lucia to Big Blue Swim School in Tustin since she was just 4…read moremonths old, and Coach Angie has been with us from day one. Lucia is now 15 months and we still show up every Saturday and honestly, that says everything. Coach Angie is patient, kind, and just gets it when it comes to working with babies in the water. She knows the curriculum inside and out, but more importantly, she knows how to make the experience fun and safe from the very first class. Lucia went from a baby who had never been in a pool to a little girl who LOVES the water and that's 100% because of Coach Angie. The moment Lucia spots her walking over she starts waving and kicking with excitement. That kind of connection doesn't just happen it's built by a coach who genuinely cares. I'll be honest we've had a couple of classes with other coaches who didn't quite meet the bar we'd come to expect. We gave Big Blue that feedback and they handled it really well. Super supportive, took it seriously, and corrected the situation. We appreciate that a lot. We came back, landed back with Coach Angie, and haven't looked back. If you're a parent on the fence about swim lessons, just go. Water safety is something we feel strongly about, and Big Blue Swim School (especially with Coach Angie!) is the real deal. Highly recommend.

The instructors were friendly and gentle. My grandson was having a good time. It was a group swimming session with other parents and their children. Party of 8 at Max. The place is clean with the given amenities that this business has to offer for kids and adults. The restrooms are a bit on the small side. Only one urinal and toilet designated at the Men's restroom. Overall, the staff conducts themselves professionally. I recommend this place to teach your children to swim. Good vibe and nice swimming ambiance with plenty of seating. Great Parking area. This place gets busy.

A few friends/neighbors also recommended Blue Buoy. Great communication from the start. Their instructors are patient and kind and make my girls feel comfortable and safe in the water.

However noting that I did not choose to attempt to go back here my spouse did on her own. She brought our nephew back against my better advice and appearantly has had better and more accommodating overall experience with them this time around. Ill give them two extra stars for this. However this tells me either A. Our previous instructor was the issue originally or B. They improved because of our review for us specifically. In addition my spouse has brought our newphew's sibling this time and I was a bit shocked and surprised to see them only giving a $5 per month discount for siblings sign-ups. I would have expected a $50 or 25% discount for this. Lastly, I do wish they had some sort of guarantee for early swimmers such as...kids will learn to swim independently within 3 months of lessons. There is no guaranteed like that here so it may take 1 months 1 year or 3 years for said kids to learn to swim which is a bit concerning for how much that is charged. I do know a couple competitors offer guarantees like this. Regardless overall this review does mark an improvement from last review.

There were times when my kids were hesitant or even crying about getting into the water, especially after waking up from a nap. The coaches never rushed or pressured them. Instead, they stayed right by their side, patiently encouraging them, constantly watching them, and giving them support the moment they were ready to jump into the water. What I appreciate most is that they are not just teaching my kids how to swim -- they are helping them build confidence, courage, and a genuine love for being in the water. My kids are learning to overcome their fears in such a positive and natural way while also having fun! A very special thank you to Coach Sidney, Coach Ethan, and Coach Victor for being so patient, attentive, and encouraging. It really means a lot to us as parents to see our kids becoming braver and enjoying swimming more and more. Highly recommend!

We absolutely love water works, and will miss our weekly sessions there!…read more My daughter began weekly private swim lessons at age 3 and is now a better swimmer than most adults I know, thanks to her instructor, Maxim. The way he interacts with children, motivates them while keeping classes silly and fun, is truly impressive. The company itself is also incredibly helpful. My daughter had a broken leg that prevented her from swimming, and the team helped us put our lessons on pause without forfeiting her recurring slot with Maxim, and even refunded us for her missed lesson the weekend prior. We've been incredibly happy with our time at Waterworks, both the customer service and professionalism of all the staff, as well as the skills Maxim helped our daughter learn.

We drive from far and my experience with Waterworks has been really frustrating. I really wanted Waterworks to work out for us; however, it's been almost a year now and we've had over 10 instructors. Our classes were on Sundays and they were often canceled or rescheduled because my daughter's instructors either called out or didn't show up. Perhaps people call out a lot on Sundays? My daughter takes a while to warm up to people so with the new faces and high turnover rate, after a year, she still does not know how to float. It's VERY DISAPPOINTING. Their customer service is great but there's such a high turnover rate at Waterworks... I do not recommend for kids who take a while to warm up to new people.

Watching her grow from a tiny baby into such a confident and skilled swimmer has been incredible. We truly believe her swimming abilities are a reflection of the wonderful instructors, patience, consistency, and care she has received throughout the years. Australian Swimming School has given her the confidence and skills to be safe and comfortable in the water, and we couldn't be more grateful. We highly recommend Australian Swimming School to any parent looking for a swim program. They have been such an important part of our daughter's journey, and we are so thankful we started her lessons here! ‍

Bear with me because I have a lot to say, and I want to give the good and the bad. First of all,…read morelet me just say that the instructors were always great with my kiddos. I especially want to give a shout out to Perry because he was always so gentle and caring with my little one. Both my kids started at Australian Swim school in the parent and me class and my oldest is six now, so I guess I can say we were long time customers. We never had an issue with any of the instructors. My oldest is autistic so I know he was challenging sometimes, but they always found a way to make it work. Now, we did end up leaving because of little things that started bothering us. One of those things was the poor maintenance of the facility. I noticed that things would breakdown and they would remain broken down for months, the temperature of the water in the showers was inconsistent, sometimes it was really hot, and other times we couldn't get it warm enough. When we left, one of the doors for one of the changing stalls had been broken for months, and already there were only like 3 or 4 stalls available, so this only made things worse, but even with all this, we were still happy to bring our kids to their swim lessons. I think what finally had us looking into other swim schools was the fact that my youngest had been in the parent and me class for over a year, and despite his instructor telling us that he thought our son was ready to move up a level, management always found a reason to not move him up. Which is interesting because at the new place, he started on the next level right off the bat, and he's been doing great! I want to finish this review by saying that I'm grateful to Australian swim school for giving my children such a positive first experience in swimming, and I'm grateful to the instructors for their patience and dedication to the kids. I do hope that the owners consider updating their facility and fixing whatever is broken, because if they don't, I think they're going to lose more customers to their competitors. Especially when there's little to no difference in pricing for newer and better maintained facilities. I hope this feedback helps!
