They always have all sorts of new activities and fun crafts for the kids to do every single day. Knowing my little ones are happy, safe, and well-cared for makes my time at the gym completely stress-free. The workout classes are phenomenal. All of the instructors are super skilled, supportive, and truly take the time to get to know everyone in the class, helping to build a genuine sense of community. Julie uses language, examples and methods that are perfect for little minds to understand. She is gentle and encouraging but also concise in her instruction. I had once talked with her about short term goals I had for my daughter and Julie was open and more than willing to slightly pivot some of her lesson work. She helps make the experience feel like a partnership. I like that when class is over she always takes few minutes (or as longer if you'd like) to discuss my daughter's progress, give suggestions and ideas for how to improve at home, and share general swim safety tips and knowledge. It's a lot less of the quickly in and out post lesson feeling we had at our last larger corporate swim school. We are looking forward to our first open swim session this Friday which she hosts for her students to practice what they're learning, which is great for us because we don't have access to a pool.

My biggest three gripes were that we were watching younger kids come into the class and we essentially became the co-trainers. My son was so bored he just goofed off and didn't listen anymore because he could already do everything at that level since he'd been in the same class for over a year. We had asked her and she said she could move him up but she had to find spots in her other classes and she kinda seemed like she preferred the parent staying because it would be less work for her. Which goes to my next gripe that the other families in our time had been with us since the beginning! Yet she was willing to move all of our times, while they were still infants, to their nap time but she couldn't find time to transition them to swim by themselves. Since going, we've had the time changed 4 times all on Saturday. As any parent can attest to, messing around with nap times is a huge PITA. You could make the argument that she was being cautious not letting him swim without his mom because she felt he wasn't ready. However, he had been swimming without my wife for over a year already. We had been going to another swim school because she stated there weren't any slots open and weren't seeing much progress with her. The last complaint I have is that we never got what we paid for. The class started 10 minutes late and ended 5 minutes early. For a 30 minute class that's essentially half the class she spent chatting with the class prior, snacking, or ending it so she could snack. That's very unprofessional and should be something she baked into her schedule versus taking time in the class.

The way he interacts with children, motivates them while keeping classes silly and fun, is truly impressive. The company itself is also incredibly helpful. My daughter had a broken leg that prevented her from swimming, and the team helped us put our lessons on pause without forfeiting her recurring slot with Maxim, and even refunded us for her missed lesson the weekend prior. We've been incredibly happy with our time at Waterworks, both the customer service and professionalism of all the staff, as well as the skills Maxim helped our daughter learn.

I showed up for my daughter's class today and her teacher was not there. They did not send us a…read morenotice today (although they usually do) or have any replacement instructors available. We drive from far and my experience with Waterworks has been really frustrating. I really wanted Waterworks to work out for us; however, it's been almost a year now and we've had over 10 instructors. Our classes were on Sundays and they were often canceled or rescheduled because my daughter's instructors either called out or didn't show up. Perhaps people call out a lot on Sundays? My daughter takes a while to warm up to people so with the new faces and high turnover rate, after a year, she still does not know how to float. It's VERY DISAPPOINTING. Their customer service is great but there's such a high turnover rate at Waterworks... I do not recommend for kids who take a while to warm up to new people.

We enrolled our daughter in the Parent & Me swim lessons over June and July, and unfortunately it…read morewas a very disappointing experience. During the course we had three different instructors, all of whom were very young and lacked the confidence and experience to effectively teach the class. Rather than being a true swim lesson, this program is really just a water introduction class. It should be marketed that way so parents know what they're paying for. At roughly $33 per lesson, we expected our daughter to begin learning foundational swimming skills. Instead, most of the class consisted of splashing in the water, singing songs, and doing activities like the hokey pokey. While there's certainly value in helping children become comfortable in the water, that's very different from what most parents think of when they sign up for swim lessons. We ended up skipping the last two classes because it simply wasn't worth our time. We weren't the only ones who felt this way--multiple parents expressed their frustration and even spoke with management after class. I know this facility has an excellent reputation and has produced Olympic swimmers, and the staff was always friendly. However, the Parent & Me program does not live up to that reputation. A friend of mine has had her child enrolled here for over a year and a half, and at age three she still isn't any closer to swimming independently. They've since withdrawn their daughter and enrolled her elsewhere. The facility itself is beautiful, and everyone we interacted with was kind. But for this particular program, I honestly felt like I could have taken my daughter to our community pool for free and had the exact same experience. If you're looking for actual swim instruction for babies or toddlers, I would recommend looking elsewhere. If you're simply looking for a fun water introduction and bonding experience, this class may meet your expectations--but that's how it should be advertised.

Terrible Lifeguards working here. I would be cautious taking a child here who can't swim…read more Today, there were 5 lifeguards and none of them saw a boy significantly drowning/cannot swim. Did any of them help? Nope... It's like they didn't even see a child right in the middle of the pool screaming for help. Luckily, I walked up when this was happening and saw the boy drowning, and jumped in to save him. He was very shook and still none ever came to check on the drowning kid. What are these lifeguards doing? Is it just a show or can they seriously help a drowning person? This is ridiculous. Other than this BIG experience that happened today, the grounds are clean but they need more tables and chairs around the pool areas. And actually making sure the lifeguards are doing their responsibility.

My kids learned to swim here, and Miss Bridget is truly the best instructor. She is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and has helped my children build confidence and strong swimming skills. My 4-year-old son absolutely loves the Ninja class with Coach Max. Coach Max does an amazing job keeping the kids engaged while helping them develop strength, coordination, and confidence. My daughter has also loved her gymnastics classes with Coach Jamie. Coach Jamie is kind, supportive, and makes every class fun while teaching excellent gymnastics fundamentals. Every instructor we have worked with at Cal Elite has been kind, experienced, professional, and genuinely invested in the success of the children they teach. The positive and encouraging environment keeps our kids excited to come back week after week. I am very concerned about this gym. I believe it has grown too large for the management to handle…read moreproperly. Young employees work directly with children in the Sweet Peas class, yet there appears to be no appropriate dress code. I understand wearing gym clothes, but having an employee's buttocks exposed and more while working with young children is completely unacceptable. The gym also recently scheduled construction and canceled classes only one hour before they were supposed to begin. A construction project is normally planned well in advance, so parents should have been notified much earlier. Overall, the lack of proper management and communication is very concerning.
