I have two daughters who attend this swim school, and we've had such a positive experience. From the moment we walk in, we're always made to feel welcome. We started both our girls in parent and me classes and they have worked their way up to starfish 5 and starfish 1, at the ages of 4 & 2. We are extremely astonished on how comfortable and confident in the water they are now. We recently enrolled our 4-month-old, Oliver, in the Water Bugs 1 class at Evolution Swim Academy, and we absolutely have loved every class! The classes are small, with five babies (and their parent/guardian) plus one instructor. The best part is the class is FREE from three to nine months old! It has been a great way to familiarize our baby with the water, and we look forward to continuing the classes at Evolution Swim Academy throughout his childhood. The facility is clean, warm, and very baby-friendly. The pool temperature is climatized to a comfortable temperature for little ones. The instructors are incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and so sweet with the babies! Our baby has been to several classes, and surprisingly has never cried in a single class! Each class is structured to gently build water comfort and bonding time, with fun guided activities, light splashing, and supported floating. We've already noticed our baby becoming more confident and happy in the water, and it's become a special weekly activity we look forward to as a family. They have baby changing stations in each restroom, as well as showers available in the pool area. They also sell snacks and swim diapers, etc., which is convenient. The front staff--Jayleen, Alma, and Jackie--do an excellent job keeping everything running smoothly and organized. Evolution Swim Academy has been an amazing experience for our family. Everyone there is incredibly caring, attentive, and supportive of our kids (all 4 of them..) Scheduling is much easier than other places because they offer a wide variety of class times and are always willing to work with your schedule. The facility is very family friendly, they offer free coffee, public showers, and separate changing rooms for boys and girls. While one of our kids is in class, the receptionists offer my other kids multiple things to keep them occupied like coloring pages, crayons, stickers, and a book exchange system where you can take books as long as you swap them for others. I wrote a review two years ago when we started our son here because we were so happy with Evolution Swim academy. Well, I'm back here to say that this is STILL the best swim school! My son has learned to swim and now my daughter is learning as well. We are due soon with our third baby and we will 100% be enrolling them once old enough. The love and personal connections the instructors show towards my children has made them feel comfortable and safe in the water. They have so much fun in class and continue to progress their skills. We have had both of our kids in swim lessons here for 4 years. Our daughter has gone through all the safety levels, all the stroke technique classes, and just leveled up to intro to evo 2. Our son is currently in stroke technique. The amount of care Coach Alma and Coach Neida pore into these kids is unmatched/ unparalleled anywhere. They go above and beyond to help these kids be successful. They know how to help my daughter who is very bright, a perfectionist, and highly sensitive. At the same time, they also know exactly how to help my son, who has special needs. They both adapt to meet each kid where they are at and seem to know exactly what works for each kid. My two daughters have been enrolled for about 5 months. It's been amazing to watch their progress! She's had amazing, encouraging and understanding coaches in Swim Star and EVO. Changing area & bathrooms available. Coach Ben and Coach Colin have led the majority of our classes with all 3 of my children from levels Starfish 1 to Intro to Evo. We have had a few others which all have been great. Small class sizes with staff that wants you to succeed. We love Evolution! We started our 1.5 year old son in the Water Bugs 3 class last July as his first swim class. He has learned so much and has gotten so much more comfortable in the water in the last 7 months! Teachers are extremely fun, nice and patient, the facility is great and staff are wonderful. My son has been coming to Evolution swim for once a week for 7 months. For a few months I was bringing him twice a week but I didn't feel I was seeing any improvement any faster. He has improved but he is still not swimming on his own. The class he is in is Starfish 2. They work on floating on the back and in order to move up in class they have to hold for 10 seconds. They have never taught doggie paddle or anything else to get him to swim independently. There are 3 children in each class for 30 minutes which equals to 10 minutes per child. However I have noticed they do not allocate a full time for the kids. It is more like 27-28 minutes shared with 3 kids. They wait until their stopwatch on the wall starts but it is not linked to normal time. Today our class started at 9:00 but they called the kids in at 9:01. Then they called class end time at 9:27. The minutes don't sound like much but When you are sharing with three other kids it shortens up their time in the water. It appears that they call the early time so that they can start the next class at 9:30. It almost seems like they need to have a five minute block in between the two classes so that the classes aren't getting cut shorter. Also I have seen where the deck supervisor goes up to the swim instructor and talks to them which is distracting to the instructor and the parents during the 30 minutes. I'm not sure what is so important to ask because it doesn't appear to be that they are talking about any other kids in the class at the moment. For the amount of money you pay per class I would expect faster improvement and full swim time allocation. read more
