After trying another swim school and not having the best experience, I knew right away this was the perfect fit for my daughter. From the moment we toured the facility, I felt confident in our decision and even canceled our other swim school trials because I knew this was the place for her. She completed her trial lesson and has now had two lessons, and she absolutely loves it! The facility is always clean, organized, and welcoming. Every employee we've interacted with has been incredibly kind, helpful, and patient. Most importantly, I can already see my daughter gaining confidence and making progress in the water after just two lessons. We couldn't be happier with our experience and highly recommend this swim academy to other families! read more

They recently changed their policy to require a dad to take their toddler daughter into the male restroom. We understand the topic is controversial, and chose to end our relationship with them. I will not be taking my daughter into male restrooms and changing rooms. Prior to this policy change we did find the school better than others and appreciated staff; however the manager, Felipe, was disrespectful. read more

My son Liam has been attending Evolution Swim Academy in Mission Viejo for over a year, and the progress we've seen has been incredible. When he first started, he was very afraid of the water and cried through many of his lessons. Miss Kristin was so encouraging and reassured us to keep going--and we're so glad we did. Over time, the tears stopped, his confidence grew, and he began progressing quickly. He's swam with several instructors throughout his time there, and every one of them has been wonderful. He enjoys seeing Miss Tamera and is currently with Miss Ali. All have been great. Liam is now in Swim Stars 1 and is excited to continue advancing through the program until he reaches the highest level. We couldn't be happier with our experience and have referred other families . read more

My son loves his swim lessons at Evolution Swim! He said he wants to come every day :) Every coach has been nice, patient and helpful. As a parent, I love the flexible policy if he is sick or life happens. The app makes it very easy to report an absence and reschedule. The facility is very nice with clean bathrooms, showers to rinse off real quick, and lots of seating for parents. We also appreciate the snack and drink options. My son also felt super special and proud of himself when he leveled up! They gave him a ribbon which made him so happy. This was a fun way to recognize his progress. read more

I have two daughters who attend this swim school, and we've had such a positive experience. From the moment we walk in, we're always made to feel welcome. Instructors like Evan, Heidi, Tallulah, and Jackie are incredibly patient, encouraging, and amazing with the kids. We started both our girls in parent and me classes and they have worked their way up to starfish 5 and starfish 1, at the ages of 4 & 2. We are extremely astonished on how comfortable and confident in the water they are now. A special thank you as well to Jayleen , Neida and Alma at the front desk who are always friendly, helpful, and make check-in so easy. My girls are always happy to be there and get genuinely excited when it's time for swim class. We truly appreciate how much everyone goes above and beyond and highly recommend this swim school! We recently enrolled our 4-month-old, Oliver, in the Water Bugs 1 class at Evolution Swim Academy, and we absolutely have loved every class! The classes are small, with five babies (and their parent/guardian) plus one instructor. The best part is the class is FREE from three to nine months old! It has been a great way to familiarize our baby with the water, and we look forward to continuing the classes at Evolution Swim Academy throughout his childhood. The facility is clean, warm, and very baby-friendly. The pool temperature is climatized to a comfortable temperature for little ones. The instructors are incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and so sweet with the babies! Our baby has been to several classes, and surprisingly has never cried in a single class! Each class is structured to gently build water comfort and bonding time, with fun guided activities, light splashing, and supported floating. We've already noticed our baby becoming more confident and happy in the water, and it's become a special weekly activity we look forward to as a family. They have baby changing stations in each restroom, as well as showers available in the pool area. They also sell snacks and swim diapers, etc., which is convenient. We highly recommend Evolution Swim Academy if you're looking to start your baby's water journey early in a safe and nurturing environment! read more

I wanted to take the time to express my appreciation for the amazing team at Evolutions. The front staff--Jayleen, Alma, and Jackie--do an excellent job keeping everything running smoothly and organized. They also provide extra guidance and encouragement to help my little one progress to the next level. We've been here for exactly a year, and even within the first month last year, my son gained enough confidence to swim during our trip to Mexico. The training staff is phenomenal--patient, engaging, and great with all the kids, making each lesson exciting and something to look forward to week after week. I've observed other swim schools, and this Mission Viejo location truly stands out. It has the cleanest facility and the most positive, welcoming staff by far. I would absolutely recommend this swimming school to anyone looking for a great place for their children to learn how to swim. read more

**my original review was for the RMV location but they are owned by sisters so I am sure MV is just as good!**

Evolution Swim Academy has been an amazing experience for our family. Everyone there is incredibly caring, attentive, and supportive of our kids (all 4 of them..) Scheduling is much easier than other places because they offer a wide variety of class times and are always willing to work with your schedule. The facility is very family friendly, they offer free coffee, public showers, and separate changing rooms for boys and girls. While one of our kids is in class, the receptionists offer my other kids multiple things to keep them occupied like coloring pages, crayons, stickers, and a book exchange system where you can take books as long as you swap them for others. Most importantly, our girls absolutely love their instructors and look forward to every single lesson. We couldn't be happier with Evolution Swim Academy and highly recommend it to other families. We want to give a special shout out to some of our favorite people that go above and beyond every single time: EVAN, JACKIE, HEIDI, TALLULAH, JAYLEEN, ALMA & NEIDA. read more

I wrote a review two years ago when we started our son here because we were so happy with Evolution Swim academy. Well, I'm back here to say that this is STILL the best swim school! My son has learned to swim and now my daughter is learning as well. We are due soon with our third baby and we will 100% be enrolling them once old enough. The love and personal connections the instructors show towards my children has made them feel comfortable and safe in the water. They have so much fun in class and continue to progress their skills. Thank you again to Alma, my son absolutely adores her and she pushes/challenges him which I appreciate as a parent. Also a big thank you to Tamara who does so well with my daughter. We will forever be an Evolution Swim academy family! read more

I have been bringing my daughter here for almost a year and the female staff make it a point to only speak and say hello to my granddaughter and we come twice a week. There's usually a parking issue as well. I definitely might be considering another swim school because who wants to bring business to folks who act like you're invisible, except for your dollars... read more

We have had both of our kids in swim lessons here for 4 years. Our daughter has gone through all the safety levels, all the stroke technique classes, and just leveled up to intro to evo 2. Our son is currently in stroke technique. The amount of care Coach Alma and Coach Neida pore into these kids is unmatched/ unparalleled anywhere. They go above and beyond to help these kids be successful. They know how to help my daughter who is very bright, a perfectionist, and highly sensitive. At the same time, they also know exactly how to help my son, who has special needs. They both adapt to meet each kid where they are at and seem to know exactly what works for each kid. I can't thank Evo as well as Coach Alma and Coach Neida enough. Stellar people, stellar coaches, and stellar facility. read more

My two daughters have been enrolled for about 5 months. It's been amazing to watch their progress! She's had amazing, encouraging and understanding coaches in Swim Star and EVO. Her last coach Alma really helped build up her confidence towards joining a swim team. Additionally my youngest is 3 and is thriving through Star Fish. She really adores Mr. Micheal and her current coach Colin! On top of all this, the facility is perfect! Safe locker rooms, great cubbie boxes, little library for siblings not swimming, drying basket, easy check-in, snack bar (for purchase along with swimming supplies) and best of all FREE COFFEE! It's always warm, inviting and very clean. Thank you SEMV for all you do! read more

I cannot begin to tell you how much we love the team at Evolution! We've been attending on and off since my son was a baby and now at 3 he's swimming like a champ with confidence! The staff has been unbelievably patient with him from the very start, whether he was crying at drop off (initially) or his goofy antics sitting on the wall. He's learned important swim safety skills and gained so much confidence in himself! The team always goes above and beyond to make us feel like family and they offer tips every single class for us to work on any challenges we face. I will continue to recommend as long as often as I can! read more

Evolution Swim Academy - A great balance of one on one time, but also making water time fun with friends. - Swimming Lessons/Schools Near Me - Mission Viejo, California

We love love love Evolution Swim! My daughter (2.5) was so afraid of getting her hair, face and ears wet - it made showering and bath time a real challenge. But after just her first few weeks with Neida, she got so much more comfortable in the water and with getting her head wet. She's now 'leveled up' to Starfish 2 and I couldn't be prouder of her! I know it's thanks to the expertise and kindness of her instructor, Miss Neida. Alma, who works the front desk when we come in, is also always kind and welcoming and seems to remember every kiddo and family that comes in. It makes coming here a lot more pleasant and enjoyable. All three of our kids, ages 2 - 6, go here and absolutely love it! Everyone who works here is very kind, friendly, and helpful. The kids and I are always looking forward to coming here. It's the best feeling to be remembered and felt so warm and welcome every time we are here. When we first signed up our kids, our youngest daughter was not having it and crying. For future parents, trust the swim instructors and the staff. They know exactly what they are doing and have their techniques mastered for interacting with children and making them feel comfortable. My youngest goes with Coach Alma, and even if she is half asleep when we first arrive, she instantly lights up when she sees her. The progress all of my kids have shown since first coming here is impressive. The coaches and staff are really what makes this place so special. read more
