My major concern, after spending around $6,000, is lack of customer service with missing/wrong components sent from manufacturer on three lights. She was adamant they would not do anything that it was my responsibility to content the manufacturer. I then asked to speak to store manager and he reiterated the same song and dance. Inconceivable to me that you do not try to help your customer - the customer that bought in your store, not directly from a manufacturer Which can happen and will with the other four remaining items I need. I won't ever buy from Lighting First again. Consider your purchases wisely, there are others that appreciate your business.

Great job Maylin

Anna also helped me find & replace a hard to find light fixture that I love but is no longer being made. We will from now on only go to there with all lighting and fan needs.

During the process, Zach Steele, mentioned a maintenance package that not only covered the lanai lights but lights on our property as well which we agreed to. During the recent/first maintenance visit, the timer was not re-set correctly and the lights were on all night. This resulted in phone calls to the company but the piece' de resistance was a return phone call to my husband from owner, Jeff Steele. In all of my years, I have not overheard such rude and unprofessional comments from an owner basically belittling innuendoes accusing us of taking advantage of a situation, being dishonest, etc. I have years of experience in dealing with many businesses and "best practices" as Executive Director of the Chamber of Commerce. Not only was the owner way out of line but reneged on the maintenance agreement saying that they do not service lights that they didn't install, all this after the fact. In looking at some of the other reviews, I am in agreement with Han Smelker, who echoed the same sentiments indicating that the owner called him a liar as well. Behavior like this does not behoove one's business and will ultimately be reflective of such.

It's very hard to get this many positive reviews on Yelp. As a former business owner I know what it's like because most people only like to do anything when they're angry. Seeing this many positive reviews on this company is proof they are worth it. We had a GFI that kept tripping for no apparent reason... I'm a little handy and swapped the GFI, however when the pass-through was hooked up it continued to trip and Eli was able to diagnose and repair with a couple of different options for doing so.
