I called and made an appointment. I called a few weeks before I wanted an appointment in case they were booked out far in advance but they said they could get me in later that week. Jessica did my hair and I don't think I've ever had a stylist take the time to fully understand what I wanted and I didn't even show her a photo for inspiration. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. The inside of the salon was very clean, nice, big and open. I was offered a beverage upon my arrival and the parking was very easy on the backside of the building off of the main road. The price was higher than I'm used to paying ($200) for a hair cut and color but I also came from a small college town so I was expecting a higher price tag. I came in for a consult 2 weeks prior to my appt. She talked me through what she planned to do. I'm not going to lie I was nervous but she was confident and had photos and videos to show me. Here's where we messed up neither one of us discussed price which is also a miss on my part. I did call later and asked so I wouldn't be in sticker shock but it ended up being more than the quote which I was warned it may be. So it was fine because I was prepared. I have a lot of thick hair. So two weeks later we went with it. It took over 3 hours and a lot of foils but she did great. I was comfortable and she kept me up to date on everything that was happening. Although she was very quiet, she was very focused and allowed me to have a relaxing experience. The receptionist was also very friendly. I was offered some infused water when I checked in and only waited for about 2 minutes. I just wanted a haircut so I started off by showing Paige two different pictures on my phone of something I was considering. I could tell she combined the two photos in her head before cutting my hair, and she only saw the photos for a couple seconds! Every haircut includes a wash, hot towel around your neck, scalp massage, hand/arm massage, and a neck and shoulder massage. You can opt out of anything, but I enjoyed the relaxation of it all. Also, the pricing is very competitive with other salons in the area, if not cheaper. After cutting, drying, and layering my hair she offered to straighten or curl my hair. She never seemed in a rush and made me feel great. I just wish she would have told me which products she was using in my hair, during the hand massage, and for the neck massage. She even sprayed something in my hair before drying it so now I'm curious what all she used and what they did. But I guess I could have asked. Overall, I have never loved a haircut so much the first day. I had a great experience at Pure Concepts and will be coming back next time.
