I would not recommend coming here if you need any work done. Patrick himself is great, but his office staff seems incompetent or they seem to be committing fraud. I asked the office staff specifically if work I needed done would be covered by insurance to which I was assured it was. This happened twice to me from this office. Only to get a bill from the office for thousands of dollars. I will never come here again. read more

I had an Absolute-ly WONDERFUL first experience here! Patrick is so awesome. He's personable, caring and really wants to educate his patients on their teeth and proper care. Amy was my hygienist today and she was equally as wonderful. She advised me on little steps to take each day to maintain adequate dental health and things to look out for. No one has ever explained things this thoroughly to me. I really appreciate their attentiveness. They take the time you need to answer all of your questions. I am so happy that I found such a great dental clinic. Even though this clinic is an hour south of my house, I have already decided this is the clinic for me. Patrick is an amazing, caring dentist! I recently broke the front off my veneer. I called later Thursday night and left a message not expecting to hear from his office until the next day or even the following Monday. Heather, my amazing dental hygienist called me back right away! She said they were going to continuing education classes the next day. The office was closed. Patrick could meet me at 6:30am to fix my tooth. Although I have been coming to their office for almost 20 years I never expected such service. My embarrassment was definitely considered an emergency to them. Patrick fixed my tooth the next morning and I could continue my life without a jack-o-lantern smile! Whenever I go to this office I feel like I am visiting dear friends. They have actually become my friends! I look forward to going to the dentist. They remember my kids, husband friends I have referred! I have been going to this office for well over ten years. Even when I lived in North Phoenix, I made the trek to their office because I was so happy with them. I have referred numerous friends and family. Dr. Calalang (although he tells everyone to call him Patrick) is a great dentist. At the end of the day, your teeth are clean and you feel like you have had a nice visit with friends. Each of the dental hygienists are fabulous. I hate to floss. I admit it. They know this. Although they remind me regularly to do so, they don't needle me because they know it is useless. Not only is the staff (all of them) absolutely lovely, they are efficient. I have never been taken back late (although I have been late more than once). They are detail oriented and take the time to educate you. Lastly, not only are they great at general dentistry, they are mindful of the community as a whole. Often times, they are collecting canned foods, bottle of water etc. for a valley nonprofit in need. Having been in the nonprofit world professionally, I have seen this office give generously many times which always speaks volumes to me. Anyway, I highly suggest you consider this office. You will be delighted from the moment you call to the moment you leave after your cleaning. They truly are a cut above the rest! read more

I have my own Dentist. I also had pain in #19...that darn number 19! When I recently made my way back from out of town, I scheduled a visit to my Dentist who, after an XRay, informed me that I needed a root canal and a crown. This is the Dentist who has taken care of me for 5 years, whom I trust. He referred me to a couple of specialists(endodontist) since roots were weird. After hearing the cost of said root canal, I started shopping around and a good friend of mine referred me to Patrick at Absolute Dental. They squeezed me in the next day between 2 other patients at the end of the day. (I was in an extreme amount of pain at that point, I hadn't been able to chew food for a couple days). From the minute I walked in the office on Guadalupe and Greenfield, I felt so comfortable, it felt right. I don't get this feeling often, and, I may as well tell you, I'm the most cynical person in the world. I don't trust anyone either. 5 minutes in a conversation with Patrick changed all that. He explained in detail after taking a couple quick xrays what the issues were that he saw, what the good scenario might be and the worst case scenario. Then came the news. The advice was that I didn't need a root canal. I didn't need to spend $2400 again. I went there prepared to spend close to that, and the main guy is talking me out of it!! WHAT??? Wait, pinch me! After an hour of cleaning up someone else's mistakes and a couple hundred bucks, I walked out a bit numb in the cheek and armed with a plan, and no pain. During the entire process I was asked if I was ok, and I mean, every minute...just a quick, Dave, are you ok?... It was perfect! I never felt that the doctor was in a hurry, or was rushing, even though I knew I was kind of an added on appt. It was amazing! Very professional! This has to be the most pleasant a visit to the Dental office can go for anyone, unless of course, you win the Dental Lottery, which, I don't think exists, but if it did, I just won!! I am just blown away by the honesty that this office displayed and the comfort level I was in throughout the whole process. You can do absolutely no wrong by going to Patrick and the great staff (Michelle, Joy, Amy, I think) at Absolute Dental, and that's all I have to say on the matter. (PS: they give you really cool sunglasses to wear during the treatment, that was my favorite) read more

A little background. I hadn't gone to a dentist in over 20 years after a horrible experience which caused a deep fear of the word dentist. My teeth could fall out before I went. My close friend encouraged (forced :)) me to go to her dentist. She said he would be very aware of my fears and would work at my pace to make me feel comfortable. Well when I finally decided to give him a try, I found out he was 3 blocks from my house in Phoenix. What could be better? Needless to say that very first appointment and many many years later I'm still going to Dr. Calalang (Patrick as he likes to be referred) even after he moved 40 mins from my house to Gilbert. HE'S THAT GOOD. Heather does my cleaning and she's such a joy. The staff has always been very pleasant to work with when I've been short on finances. So understanding. My last visit was this week. I broke a tooth over the weekend, called Monday morning and was in that day and its fixed and beautiful. I HIGHLY recommend Absolute Dental at Guadalupe/Baseline Rds. Patrick takes the time to pursue perfection, one of my front teeth had cracked and I couldnt afford to get a veneer. So he created a whole new tooth with just filling material.
