Setting up an appointment a week later for a one hour shoot in their Tulsa studio was super easy (they also have one in Norman). They were super flexible to my requests of adding more time to the shoot and more outfits. They promptly sent me an email confirmation with information that answered ALL of my questions and detailed what to expect. Since I had never done a boudoir shoot before, I appreciated the attention to detail and the fact that they acknowledged that the nervousness of stepping out of your comfort zone is completely normal. They recommend purchasing the hair and makeup add-on for $85. I didn't because my best friend is an amazing makeup artist. It is definitely helpful to feel like a model by the time you arrive. I learned that boudoir does not necessarily mean lingerie or nudity (which was the main reason why I was so nervous). Alisa, the photographer, helped me feel at ease immediately. When I arrived, the previous session was just wrapping up. They were three girlfriends who told me they gifted themselves a shoot every year because it was a great way to celebrate themselves. I loved how enthusiastic they were. I hadn't considered it would be a gift to myself as well. The space itself wasn't big but it was very well laid out. They have cute décor and different backdrops set up. You can bring whatever you want to wear during your shoot but they also have a client closet with props to choose from. They even have a Pinterest page to check out beforehand for inspiration. During the actual shoot, Alisa did a magnificent job of coaching me through posing and my facial expressions. Even though some of the poses felt somewhat forced and uncomfortable, she would quickly show me the result and it was AMAZING! I couldn't believe how good she made me look. She is a pro at choosing flattering poses and encouraging you along the way. Once the shoot was over, they let me look at the pictures for me to select which ones I wanted to be retouched. As part of the Groupon, I was supposed to select only a handful of pictures for them to retouch. I actually thought that would be plenty until I started to scroll through them. I actually loved ALL of them. So I once again extended my package and purchased all of the digital files. It felt like a splurge but was well-worth it for sure. Highly recommend for everyone to experience! It was a highly empowering and did wonders for my self-esteem.

This location is a good size, and even though they were hit hard first thing this morning the store was still tidy when I went in around 11:30. The workers were super nice and helpful, and the girl working the dressing room was really good about checking on customers (seeing if they needed another size, etc without being pushy) when the line got long. Speaking of the dressing rooms, they each had their own fan! This is so important when you're trying on lots of clothes b/c it can get warm back there. This store seemed to have most of the items on the website but in limited sizes. They do offer free shipping from the website to the store if they don't have your size in something. There didn't seem to be a shoe section like the OKC store, they were just scattered around the store on different shelves. Large lingerie section in the back. I live out of state (California) and I visit The Bust Stop when I am in Oklahoma to visit family. I remembered the outrageous ads that they used to have on TV, and when I realized that I just couldn't find a bra that fit properly at discount stores OR Victoria's Secret, I decided to give The Bust Stop a try - this was probably 2008 or so. I am sure glad I did. I was properly measured and I went from an ill-fitting 36DD (or whatever) to a 36G. I was shocked that they had my size, and so MANY beautiful choices of bras! I really had trouble deciding which bras to buy, as they all fit so much better than whatever trash I had been wearing for years. I was devoted! Every year that I visit Tulsa, I try to visit and re-stock my bra library. Even though I live in the San Francisco area, finding an independent bra store with this much stock in my hard-to-find-size is very difficult - no, impossible! Last year (May 2012), I was newly pregnant and needed a new bra in the next cup size up. The Bust Stop helped me out, and I went home with a very comfortable Anita bra that I wore during my entire pregnancy... heck, my kid is nearly a year old and that bra is STILL going strong (though nearing the end of its life). I will say that they do not stock as many pretty styles and colors as of my last visit. The shop owners related to me that they had to reduce the variety in order to keep stocking the greater size range. They seemed to focus on pretty, durable basics - which is fine for someone like me that wears an unusual size. I'm happy for the basics, as I know I can always order the fancier colors as needed. The store is not the prettiest - their decor could use some updating (or as stated in the other review, maybe it's just "vintage"), but it is clean and the fitting rooms are spacious and private. Service is good, and the fitters are kind and efficient. I would recommend this store to anyone with bra fitting issues, nursing moms, and especially ladies in need of a deep cup sized bra. If you're an average size, you might find a better quality bra here (Prima Donna, anyone? Anita? these are great brands), but you might not find every color in the rainbow.
