The level of customer care was awesome. Having the right size is more important than I knew. My back and neck had been hurting for several months and just getting sized made all the difference. I'll preface this review by saying that I haven't been to the Bust Stop since May of 2012, so this review is based on that experience and shopping trips from past years. I live out of state (California) and I visit The Bust Stop when I am in Oklahoma to visit family. I remembered the outrageous ads that they used to have on TV, and when I realized that I just couldn't find a bra that fit properly at discount stores OR Victoria's Secret, I decided to give The Bust Stop a try - this was probably 2008 or so. I am sure glad I did. I was properly measured and I went from an ill-fitting 36DD (or whatever) to a 36G. I was shocked that they had my size, and so MANY beautiful choices of bras! I really had trouble deciding which bras to buy, as they all fit so much better than whatever trash I had been wearing for years. I was devoted! Every year that I visit Tulsa, I try to visit and re-stock my bra library. Even though I live in the San Francisco area, finding an independent bra store with this much stock in my hard-to-find-size is very difficult - no, impossible! Last year (May 2012), I was newly pregnant and needed a new bra in the next cup size up. The Bust Stop helped me out, and I went home with a very comfortable Anita bra that I wore during my entire pregnancy... heck, my kid is nearly a year old and that bra is STILL going strong (though nearing the end of its life). I will say that they do not stock as many pretty styles and colors as of my last visit. The shop owners related to me that they had to reduce the variety in order to keep stocking the greater size range. They seemed to focus on pretty, durable basics - which is fine for someone like me that wears an unusual size. I'm happy for the basics, as I know I can always order the fancier colors as needed. The store is not the prettiest - their decor could use some updating (or as stated in the other review, maybe it's just "vintage"), but it is clean and the fitting rooms are spacious and private. Service is good, and the fitters are kind and efficient. I would recommend this store to anyone with bra fitting issues, nursing moms, and especially ladies in need of a deep cup sized bra. If you're an average size, you might find a better quality bra here (Prima Donna, anyone? Anita? these are great brands), but you might not find every color in the rainbow. read more

I purchased two bras a few years ago and they are still great. Ths is the only place that I will ever shop for a bra in the City of Tulsa or anywhere even on the East Coast where I go sometimes. There are not enough postings on this Bra Shop why I don't know because once they fit you with a bra it fits properly. I have a very large bust and the support that the bra gives me without cutting into my shoulders is so great and it is worth every dollar that I spend there. Coming back soon again in 2021. Many women in my family shop here, including myself. They carry 'odd' sizes, or sizes you can't just get at JCpennys. So, for myself, thats what makes this place AWESOME. I love all my bras I've gotten here, and all the staff have been lovely and friendly. The prices are on the higher side for sure, but I do believe the quality equals the price. I have had my bras from here last YEARS and I haven't had to replace any! So I've heard about this place from a friend and they weren't too thrilled. I gave it a couple years before I decided on whether or not I would visit. Late last year I thought about visiting but wasn't quite sure still. Well after contemplating back and forth about it, I decided to visit the store. First Impression on Store: The store looked as if it was a pretty big place but when you walked in it just looked cluttered with knick knacks and what not. It wasn't a bad store but it wasn't the greatest. The store just looked "vintage". Products: I tried on a couple of the products they had there but wasn't too ecstatic about the choices that was handed to me. (When I walked into the store and was eventually greeted, I was walked straight to the dressing room unable to look at anything else in the store.) They may have had other products there that may have given me a better feel and may have wanted to purchase more but with the swift direction to the dressing room I wasn't really able to see what they have. SO, based on that alone, the choices weren't great. You can find better designs and more variety at other big retail chains. Price: From the four or five items that I had to "choose" from, not worth it. Don't get me wrong, I did purchase one item but kind of regret it. The item I bought after taxes was over $50 and I cringed a little. The other items I saw were priced between $48 - $30 something. I can honestly say that if you are going to spend that much on one bra, check the big retail chains first before you settle on this. If you are willing to spend whatever on a bra, then this might be the place for you. It was just a bit too pricey for my taste. Customer Service: The lady wasn't rude but very swift. I guess I must've visited the store when they were ready to close but I felt kind of rushed. I walked in, told the lady what I was wanting, was walked to the dressing room, measured, handed one item and tried it on. She came back to check on me and then asked if I wanted to try more, I said yes and then that was the last time I saw her when she dropped off the others. I got dressed, walked out and checked out. I was actually still in the parking lot when they peered out and locked the door/closed the store. Like I said, she wasn't rude just very Quick about everything. Wish they would've treated me like I was the first customer when they opened the store in the morning. I would've loved to see more options. Overall, would I come back to this store.... No. Would I advise friends/family to visit.... No. I tried it, experienced it and I'll leave it at that. read more

Omg this place was terrific! We went to get bras for the grand daughter and she left with 4. She was thrilled with how nice the people were and that the bras were comfortable and pretty. I didn't expect much based on some previous yelp reviews that turned out to be totally out of date. The store is clean and has seating for the entourage. This store used to be amazing with great customer service, but very disappointed in my last visit. We used to live in Tulsa, and this was the only place where I could find a large selection in bras in "odd" sizes and helpful service. I was in town for one day a few weeks ago, made an appointment (per COVID store policy), and was looking forward to buying a few bras. When I got there and was measured, a lady came in and started with a bra that I knew was nowhere near my band size, but I went with it. After like 8 attempts, she finally found a fit after irritatingly saying, "well you're making this tough on me". Maybe she was joking, and I know there isn't really a "true size" for bras, but I could have told her that the first 3-4 were nowhere close to going to fit! So we found a size(s) that would work, then she tells me she only has one bra in the size. It had a very uncomfortable band/underwire, again she seemed irritated that I didn't like the way that particular bra felt. She said she could order others, but since I live out of town there was no offer to ship or figure anything out. She said there stock was just low lately. I understand that, but they used to be a shop to get bras where people with larger cups and smaller bands had options. Now she just seemed put out by not liking the one thin, uncomfortable bra in my size. By now I was done, so I left and will not bother going back. I'll give my money for expensive bras to a business that is helpful and willing to work with customers. read more

I live in Tulsa but have lived in many major cities in my life. Tulsa is definitely lacking in "home grown" ladies undergarment apparel. Big chain stores are everywhere but they just regurgitate mass-produced disposable undergarments built to force a woman's parts into a mold. That being said, Bust Stop broke that mold. I read all of the reviews before I drove all the way to the traffic hell of 71st & Memorial. I was worried about the "rushed" and "pushy" reviews but went anyways. I think those negative reviews were based on our familiarity with big-box stores. Bust Stop is much more personal. It's not the typical Victoria's Secret where you walk in, pick out what looks right, ask if they have your size, then try to pull, adjust, and shove your parts into a mass-produced bra until it fits the best it can. Dismiss this idea. Bust Stop harkens back to the old ways of shopping; back when it use to be a personal event (often requiring a tea break). Went I walked into the quaint store the young woman asked if it was my first time in. "Yes." She immediately took me back to be measured. I didn't get the chance to peruse all of the pretties. It's not that I wasn't "allowed" to browse the wares but that I didn't need to. She asked what I was looking for, what I didn't like about my current bra, and where my areas of discomfort are. You see, I am almost six feet tall with broad shoulders and a wide rib cage. My breasts are about 3-finger width apart so ALL "off-the-rack" bras just squish the girls together and I end up with loaf boob. After measuring me and listening to my feedback she came back (about 2-3 minutes later) with 2 bras. She asked me to try them on and pick the one I preferred. This was not the bra I left with. My decision lead her in the right direction. 14 bras later (yes, she brought me 14 different bras over a time of 30 minutes) I found two completely different bras that feel like MAGIC!! I walked in wearing a 38B (VS always tells me I am a 38B) and left with two wide-set, thick strapped, 38D's. Yes, D's. No more pinching, armpit fat rolls, or dirty cleavage boob sweat because she took the time, took control, and didn't LET me pick something that looked pretty to try to fit into. Instead of making my body fit into a bra, she helped me find bras that fit around my body. There is a HUGE difference between the two methods of shopping. Also, I spent less on two bras that fit me perfectly than I've ever spent on two bras at VS. The dolls in the fitting room were super creepy though. read more

I went in on April 19th. I was fitted by Mary the owner. She was there alone. The store was cluttered. I got fitted for a bra and decided I liked it. She had none in stock and had to order. That was fine. Mary said she would order them immediately and I would get them in 1-2 weeks. I went ahead and decided to do that. Mary said I had to pay upfront. I spent over $100 for 3 bra's. Today is May 23rd. I called them because I hadn't heard from them. I called twice. Left 2 messages. Finally got a call back from Lisa, who left a message stating she had my bra's and they had and they had a no return policy. I called her right back and the number was busy. After 10 attempts to call back, I finally got Lisa on the phone. Interestingly enough she said my bra's came in yesterday and she only worked part time and there were no returns. So in short, don't go there unless you have $100 and over 30 days to wait for a bra. read more

I have been to the Bust Stop a few times and always have great service! The first time I went I was immediately taken to a dressing room and measured. She then asked me questions about my wants/needs. Although I didn't look around before I was measured, I didn't need to. They keep the majority of their stock in the back and bring everything to you in your room. I tried on over 15 bras and purchased 2. After taking them home and wearing them around the house, neither worked. I went back and they returned them both for a credit. She was super friendly and totally understanding. I ended up ordering a bra through them and went home with a bra that I L-O-V-E!!!! And their prices are completely comparable to any big box store or an online store. I always make sure I check my prices. Be aware...It's very kitschy inside. A ton of dolls and collectable items, but look past it and just let them help you. It's totally worth your time. read more

I don't visit the store often because the bras last a long time. Yes, I pay more for a bra here but it fits and lasts for several years so I get more than my moneys worth out of it. They do keep most of their stock in the back but they always have brought me plenty to try on and I do give them a description of what I am looking for and how wide I like my straps. I have absolutely no complaints on their service or the looks of the store. I enjoy the vintage type décor. I definitely recommend the place. But please don't come in right near 6:00 when they are trying to close. It does take a little time to try them all on and to get redressed again. They have had a long day so if this is your first time and you don't know what you want, I would get there by 5:30. read more

I live in Canada, and looked for a bra sop in Tulsa, as I was down to visit. I was greetted, but immediately sent to a dressing room to be sized... waited almost 20 minutes for a lady to come back with a couple of bras, never asked style I wanted.. color or anthing... basically tossed and ran. Yes, they were busy but the service was horrible. Because I know they would be cheaper in Tulsa I did buy too... however the fit is not right, and of course I am home and cannot return them.
