After moving to Tucson and looking for a local establishment for Botox, I walked in for a…read moreconsultation at Skinjectables. I thought it would be crowded and I might have to wait, since it was a Friday but I was seen quickly. The facility is decorated with images of Marilyn Monroe and is very pretty, but the waiting area is heavily perfumed with air freshener or potpourri. I have a respiratory condition and I am uncomfortably sensitive to scents; I had to wait on the bench outside. My injector, Mayra, was young and has been doing this for only a year (I always ask because I inquire about their experience with the needles and the procedures.) She said she used to work for and was trained by a cosmetic surgeon. Despite her youth and relative inexperience, she was skilled in administering. Instead of Botox, Mayra suggested a similar neurotoxin product called Jeuveau, which is slightly more effective than Botox, and less expensive, because they were offering a special. I had it injected at both my 11s on the forehead and the crows feet near the eyes. I have not noticed a difference using neurotoxin around the eyes (twice elsewhere) before, but figured I'd try again, since it was a new facility and a new product. I have strong forehead muscles and I often need maximum units to get the desired result. I received 9 units at the crows feet near each eye, and 24 units on my forehead. It has been a week and I am pleased with the natural yet noticeable results. My eyes look more "open" and my forehead is improved. Mayra said if I can still significantly wrinkle my brows in 2 weeks to come back to touch it up. I might consider other skin care procedures here.

Understandably a very female centric place. However, how do they accommodate the occasional…read moremetrosexual that may stop in? Are they able to shift gears or is everyone Carrie Bradshaw? And that is exactly the feeling that you get when you go in there. The front desk are armed with their Apple computers and hidden behind the screens. They are not very sensitive to esoteric needs. What do i mean? In an effort to coordinate this i was in contact via text. I was trying to figure out who it was that i was conversing with. The person began using abbreviations like "FD" where i had to clarify what she meant; and it was "Front Desk". The place is a bit hard to find and I had to call for coordinates and was rifled off "commands" as to how to get there which was memorized in the presenters mind but not really intuitve. Like she just wanted to "get it out of her system" without regard for whether someone would be able to understand. These are signs to me of what is in store. So when I got there i was given a computer to fill out an inordinate amount of forms. No sooner did i get the ipad that the battery went out. But who wants to fill out all this information on an ipad where there is not a desk; you are just kind of struggling with the keys as you sit in a waiting room chair. Like it doesn't lend itself to use for this purpose because there is not support for the ipad to stay on your lap. If its on your lap you can't really use the keyboard do you see what i mean? Then I went into the bathroom and saw the heaping trash. These are things that people see; we don't care how dainty Carrie says that she is. Then they put me in a treatment room with a towel or fur comforter that looked dirty. The table wasn't adjusted at all and i sat and sat and sat and sat until i walked out. That was my experience. For me its not a place for guys. But again dare i say that these actressess might want to consider some of what i say. But they won't; I can see that as clear as day. They are set in their ways. It is his fault you see. They will falter and falter to the point of ad nauseum. As long as the facade of the Apple computers at the front desk are fired up and ready to go; that is all that matters. The show must go on. Thats all.

They have services that range from relaxation facials to cosmetic skin rejuvenation treatments such as injectables fillers, sofwave, and more. Additionally, they have mental and physical wellbeing treatments/modalities such as the red light therpay bed and the shiftwave chair, which combines vibration and breathwork to help regulate your nervous system. Lastly, they have an onsite therapist. Essentially, Luxe aims to be a place "where beauty and emotional wellness and coexist." It's a unique concept and a place really centered on helping feel like your best self! My diamond glow facial with Andrea was awesome. I've always been a hydrafacial girlie, but I might be switching to Diamond Glow. My face was so smooth afterwards without any irritation. Andrea is super lovely and made sure I was comfortable during the facial. I'll definitely be back!

I have been suffering from acne for almost 15 years. As time has gone on, it has only gotten worse…read moreand worse. I've seen so many dermatologists I can't even remember them all. I've been prescribed everything from topicals to harsh antibiotics. Every single one of them has pressured me to do Accutane- but i am so glad I stood my ground and didn't put that awful medication in my body. I have easily spent thousands on skin care with no relief. You name it- I've tried it. In my mid 20s and my acne was the worst I had ever seen it. It was painful, and quite honestly difficult to look people in the eyes and navigate adulthood. I felt like people weren't taking my seriously. I had come across Tucson Acne Clinic a while back but figured it was probably yet another thing that wouldn't work for me. I was googling things and came across TAC again. I remember sending it to my best friend and asking her if she thought I should try it. But I remember thinking "what do I have to lose?!" And my friend thought the same. Let me tell you, it was the best decision I have ever made. Brenda is very kind and welcoming- but also straight to the point and doesn't beat around the bush, and I mean that in the best way possible. I never thought I could be ok around someone without makeup on, but she creates a very comforting, safe feeling environment. In just 5 months, I went from severe acne to almost completely clear. I do have some bad scarring from years of acne, but overall I can't believe how clear my skin is every time I look in the mirror. Thank you, Brenda, for changing my life! *will update with some before and after photos*

There were a number of things I can think of that might've caused my skin to break out the way it did but my top one was my skin acclimating to Tucson's weather. The break out's caused me to become depressed and desperate. I was doing research on my skin and where I can go that would help me before resorting to going to the dermatologist. I found Tucson Acne Clinic. I read LITERALLY everything on her website and I was sold. I made my appt and I went and saw her. She changed my life. Your first visit with her will be very educational and painful. She educates you on everything about ACNE; what causes it, aggravates it, clears it, etc. She does an acne treatment and does extraction (which is not the most comfortable feeling but very necessary). Her method of clearing your skin is a commitment and an investment. Worth every penny and time. She's a very skillful esthetician and she knows exactly what she's doing. She knows her method of clearing very well, so my advise is to stick with it till your skin clears up, guaranteed, it will ! If you're still thinking about whether to book with her or not, just do it. She will help change your life and help boost your confidence. Thank you so much Brenda You're the best

She is quick, thorough, professional, and her spa is always clean and organized. Melissa is conveniently located in a collective of salons and spa on First Ave. and Limberlost called "Sola Salons". Melissa's schedule is perfect for people who work, and she has appointments available to accommodate anyone's schedule. I have been to lots of other spas that do a great job, but often for a 30 min. appointment ends up being one hour ...the time spent checking in, waiting, and the waxing not to mention costs after tip $50-$60. I just had an appointment today...no joke I was in and out in 15 minutes and paid $40 w/ tip! Who wants a bikini wax to last any longer than that?! Holla!

Good ole Groupon brought me here to enjoy a 90-min massage for a great price. Chelsea offers five different types of massage: swedish, lymphatic, deep-tissue, neuromuscular and aromatherapy (Aromatherapy is $10 extra). I received a deep tissue/swedish massage and can honestly say it was one of the best massages I've ever received. You know it's a great massage when you drift into that state of semi-consciousness somewhere around the 30 minute mark. Customer service was top notch and I will most definitely be back to visit again. Overall, not only was this a great massage experience, but I love to support new small businesses. It is obvious that Chelsea is passionate about her little spa and her profession as a massage therapist. *Note: due to the popularity of this Groupon deal, Chelsea is booking into late March now. However, if you want a quality massage experience she is definitely worth the wait. *Right next to Sunflower Markets, perfect for a nice little walk around for yummy goodies after your massage.
