The store is small, but has a decent selection and the owner Juan is very accommodating. We found a quality bedroom set we liked and ended up ordering a bed, mattress, large dresser and night stands. Pricing was competitive. Delivery was seamless - the two delivery guys arrived on time and expertly assembled the bed and set up the furniture. I highly recommend this store.

But after 2 Westchester Sears location closings, we've now turned a new leaf and depend on Fortunoff on Central Ave in Yonkers for some of their outdoor selections. While Fortunoff isn't a BBQ grill destination, they almost have all your backyard needs. We haven't felt the need to replace any of our bigger outdoor pieces- because again, they're fine. But once they go out of their misery, I might consider this place for their outdoor variety. I mean...if you're going for that gawdy look, they gotchu covered- but if you want more of a clean-edge/'minimalist' feel, Fortunoff added that too. Service from the young gals is choppy, patchy and weak on dialogue- then again, I'm not going out with them for cocktails- but I do crack a smile to ease the blow during my transactions.

***ASHLEYS WARRANTY SCAM! **** TRUST ME, DO NOT BUY IT!…read more THEY WILL NOT COVER YOUR CLAIM! Do not purchase their warranty! Their 5 year warranty is a scam... I purchased an entire sofa set and a 5 thousand dollar mattress and incline mattress frame. Everything together was around 8 thousand dollars. So of course. I purchased the $350.00 warranty. Needless to say, 4 1/2 years later, as I was adjusting the cushions, the zipper broke! No PROBLEM! Right? Wrong! I went to claim it, since it says mechanisms are covered. If you google mechanisms, a zipper sure does qualify. Guess what, it didn't, to Ashley's Standards, then they try to sell you on Tier 2 coverage. Which is... guess what? Another $100.00! Haha for a zipper that I can get fixed for 40 bucks at my local tailor. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM! That was my second attempt to make a claim, they keep denying it. That was for a $40.00 zipper, do you really think they are going to cover something that is more serious!!

Since the start of my Vanity Room revamp, I've been toying with the idea of having a gold tall shelf to replace an old white IKEA bulky one I've had for about 15 years. I could've purchased a shelf anywhere online- but I wanted to feel and see it for myself (I tend to be OC). Plus Ashley came up when I Googled "gold shelves near me". Saw a cute one, stopped in on an impromptu Friday to see for myself. Personally, I don't like breaking the bank- but for furniture getting a lot of wear and tear such as dining sets, sofas, beds (frames), dressers, I rather dish out more at Pottery B. or Williams-Sonoma- just because function and quality are the driving forces there. That's just me. Plus I want to hold on to heavy-used items for a realllllly long time. Don't you? But this place has furniture to satisfy any look you're going for. I was greeted instantly by my guy Andrew- who was a sweetheart! The floor had the wrought iron finish on display- not the gold I wanted. Told him what I wanted and as he called it, "you want a hint of gold", I searched it right from my phone- so he can get a better idea and BOOM! He assured me the gold finish is in stock online and began my order. Andrew was super personable throughout the ordering process. I mean...he and I were like right there. When I closed the deal, he finalized what I paid for and delivery date. See it how you want to see it. But for me, I see Ashley as a treasure trove with unexpected finds. Even if you don't buy anything, it's a nice place to get lost a bit.
