Manager let's her staff talk down to customers and has no control of her staff.

The staff in the infant room have all been warm, bright, creative, patient, and so awesome at responding to the ever-changing needs of our little girl. She had not been in daycare before--we had a sitter who came to our home--and they worked with us to help make the transition as easy on her as possible. And, as she has grown and developed, they have provided new activities to keep her engaged. (Shout out to Ms. Alyssa, Ms. Katie, Ms. Hillary!) Walking in, you frequently hear the joyful squeals and chatter of children in the older classrooms. The setting is great, too: big outdoor play areas, lots of grass and trees, and the kids get plenty of fresh air and exercise. I just can't say enough good things about our daughter's experience there. Ultimately, I knew we made the right choice enrolling her at Smart Start because, when I would come to pick her up, I'd peek in the window, or stand around the corner where she could not see me--and my girl always looked happy.

Everything they have to offer is awesome and a day pass for an individual or family is great price to do multiple activities. Overall a great time and easy to come and go throughout the day. Grab a bite to eat in the village of Skaneateles or try the community centers new concession stand that's operated by a local favorite, at long last!

Not sure who to call, I did a search and recognized the name Sheesley's. The reviews were very positive, so I thought I'd call. The woman I talked to in the office was very professional and said she would definitely send a crew to fix this. It took a couple of hours before they came, but this was actually quite fast as all of their crews were engaged on other projects. The two that came to the house were terrific. They quickly figured out the problem and commenced to replace the sump pump. After a successful installation, they monitored the pump to insure it was was doing exactly what they thought it should be doing. I was extremely happy with the service provided. I would definitely recommend them for future work.

However, I cannot recommend his business based on the quoting and final billing miscommunications. The project vastly exceeded the initial 4-hour estimate, ending up at over 8 hours of labor without any mid-job notification that the scope or time was doubling. Additionally, I was charged two separate $150 site visit fees ($300 total) for a single job that was split into multiple visits for their scheduling convenience. Despite a verbal agreement to provide the main parts 'at cost,' since I already had them ready to order, the final invoice included significant markups on basic cleaning and truck supplies like towels and buckets. When I reached out to discuss these discrepancies in good faith, suggesting compromise, the response was defensive and included immediate threats of late fees on a first-time invoice that was actively being contested. PitStop reduced the invoice by $50 as "good faith". After I itemized out a compromise between what I was led to expect and what was invoiced, I was ghosted. After waiting a few weeks and following up with no response, I chose to pay the invoice in full simply to close the matter, but I strongly advise other property owners to get a binding written contract and a capped labor quote upfront before any work begins.
