The active pto helps pay for the garden, drama, and music enrichment programs. The teachers and staff are able to really meet each child that their level so that no one gets left behind and get the children excited about learning. So grateful that we found this amazing school!

The staff was supportive through the years when my son was behind in reading. Because of their help he is now up to grade level and excels in math. My daughter is also excelling. Those formative years at Dunham have really created a love of learning in our kids. The teachers, administration, and parents collaborate effectively to run the school in such a way that funds are well allocated to additional curriculum that are fun and educational for the kids. The garden is by far a wonderful addition to the school and really created a community connection between the families and the local agriculture of Sonoma County. Things like apple pressing, seasonal "plant start" sales, and the pumpkin patch where each child gets a pumpkin...these are things that kids remember for the rest of their lives. The end of year carnival is always a blast! It's a close knit community. As a small school, be prepared to face the challenges of kids getting sick of one another. There is only one class per grade so kids stay together. That results in bickering and splitting off eventually with their people. They are like siblings by the time they leave the school. Some kids get along better than others. But the variation of personality types and the inclusion of all demographics really gives these kids a sense of how to treat many types of people in and out of school. in my opinion, this small country school is one of the best in Sonoma County. It's a secret gem.

She ADORES her teacher and is thriving at this school. She loves it so much we also registered our 2nd grader for next year & will continue to drive from Windsor for another year. The older kids do cooking & gardening, which she loves & I love how happy she is there. Class sizes are very small, so each kid can get the individual attention they may need.

It was a crazy time full of major changes and everyone at CCLS from the pre-school director, principal, teachers, and staff were welcoming in every way. While there was the normal adjustment period, we have been so pleased with how well-adjusted our son now is to his routine and just how much he loves going to school here. We appreciate the values instilled, but most especially the caring and loving teachers, who have helped us so much with the transition over the past school year. Our son has made new friends, he takes naps (mostly!), is now fully potty trained, and every day he comes home exhibiting something new that he has learned. It is so impressive to see his mind at work and all that he is learning and absorbing through his weekly lessons. The staff is also very nice to work with; we made some changes to our son's schedule and they were able to accommodate us. Their schedule offerings are also very flexible for working parents. We highly recommend Cross and Crown for your child's early education.

. This was by far the worst daycare experience I've ever had…read more Staff were consistently unprofessional and disorganized. I regularly dropped my child off with people who weren't her teachers--including kitchen staff--which is completely unacceptable. Teachers called out so often that my child was frequently left with unfamiliar caregivers, DAILY and parents were never properly informed. The environment felt chaotic every single morning--screaming children, no structure, and no sense of control. Even more concerning, when my child had issues with other kids being abusive . staff did nothing to address it. There were also serious concerns about staff behavior and overall supervision that made me question whether this is an appropriate or safe environment for children at all. I would not recommend this place to any parent. They need major changes in staffing, accountability, and basic professionalism.

5 Stars - KinderCare Has Been a Blessing!…read more We came to KinderCare after a difficult experience at a previous daycare that felt unprofessional and poorly managed. My older son would come home angry and sad. He was regularly put in timeouts and had his playtime taken away for what they called "bad behavior." They even claimed he had choked another child at just three years old, which was shocking and completely out of character. He would cry and beg not to go. That's when we knew we had to make a change. From the moment we toured KinderCare, we felt a difference. The staff was welcoming, professional, and genuinely caring. They also accept 4Cs, which was a huge help. From day one, my son came home smiling. He has been happy to go every single day since. His teacher, Emily, has been especially wonderful. She's patient, kind, and really understands my strong-willed child. She works with him thoughtfully and helps him thrive in a way that feels supportive rather than punitive. She's been instrumental in helping him adjust and grow. KinderCare also recently welcomed my one-year-old, and again, the experience has been amazing. I could tell from the very first day that he had a great time with the staff and the other children. It gave me so much peace of mind to know that both my kids are happy, safe, and truly cared for. KinderCare doesn't just supervise children--they see them, understand them, and support them as individuals. I can't recommend them highly enough!

The science classes are insightful, intellectual, not like anything I have ever seen in New York City, Las Vegas or Santa Barbara, California. How amazing is this treasure in Sonoma County! Each class was as academic as a museum. The teachers specialize by constantly training. They are literally finding new ways to make the students brighter. Brilliance seems to follow every student as the teachers work so hard preparing new ways for them to learn. I interview them. I sat down with international visitors. We watched them prepare to make the students smarter. The teachers I met had students that went on to graduate at Harvard University and Stanford University. In Santa Rosa, they prepare young, and find themselves ready for the best university on the planet. The academic interest in the students progress is extraordinary. The teachers get the parents energized. I began decades ago with the first students when the school opened. The irony is I remember when the builders were developing the school from the ground up because the houses in the area where as new as the building of Strawberry. We played soccer in a lake of mud nearly forty years ago. Now the grass is fresh, green and lively. As children years ago, we were going to Bennett Valley and Yulupa before Strawberry opened for business. Later I won the Bennett Valley Teachers Award thanks to the excellent leadership of my teacher, role models, because they were the adults I knew as my father was sick with cancer and my mother worked full time as far away as Marinwood near San Rafael. I say that the teachers of Strawberry allowed me to succeed because the events, awards, the care they gave me led to the confidence that helped me in career today. I see that the teachers are even better now with their increased technology, new text books and the trips like that one to Washington D.C. How extraordinary!
