Both of our children loved every teacher and every classroom they were in throughout the years. They were always excited to go to TLE, and they believed that every classmate was their friend. The classrooms were lovely, clean and well organized. The meal plan was superb, and very convenient. The outdoor play areas were large, shaded, customized to age range and abilities, and filled with bikes, water pads, and sensory toys. Communication with the director, Kenzie, and assistant director, Rosie, was immediate, considerate and thorough. Our eldest was fully prepared for kindergarten when she graduated from TLE. She understood classroom dynamics and expectations, and she had mastered measurable skills in language, reading, math and art. Our youngest was loved and nurtured during his time at TLE, and the teachers were incredible at supporting us during potty-training and different developmental stages. There is a lot of love, care, and attention to detail in this safe, professional and fun little school. We miss it a lot!

She's warm, welcoming, and has this effortless way of connecting with both kids and parents, which, in my book, is a rare and magical combo. My kids absolutely adores her, and I can see why. She brings such positive energy and always seems to be in ten places at once, without missing a beat. She's also incredibly organized! The kind of person who somehow makes school events, updates, and reminders feel easy to keep up with (and I barely remember what day it is). You can tell she really cares about the families and puts her heart into the work. We feel lucky to have someone like Ms. Kenzie at the school, it's made all the difference for our family!

Now, nearly 2 years later, he is moving to preschool, and will bring with him a great foundation for that next step - language skills, eating well, sharing, and so many other things that he has learned thanks to Panda Garden. The facility is clean, safe, and organized, with great indoor and outdoor spaces. Our son LOVES the food and always eats well. Panda Garden has a weekly curriculum, with lots of seasonal, cultural and academic activities (including Moon Festival, New Years, gardening, the seasons, counting and so much more). They also take field trips to the local parks to help get that extra energy out. Panda Garden was recommended to us from a friend, and we are so glad that it was. We highly recommend it to any parent looking for Mandarin immersion for their little one!

From day one, Panda was like a second home for my daughter, and her teachers made her feel safe, happy, and excited to learn. The care at Panda is exceptional. Michelle regularly rotates toys and equipment to keep things fresh and engaging, clearly prioritizing the kids' experience over profit. She sends photos and updates throughout the day, which helps parents stay connected to their kids' activities and experiences. The curriculum is thoughtful, engaging, and fresh, as Michelle and team constantly introduce new lessons and activities which evolve as the kids grow. Beyond academics and language, Michelle and team teach real-life social and emotional skills like how to handle conflict, share with others, take turns, and express their feelings in a healthy way. Michelle also hosts periodic parent-teacher conferences where she shares personalized tips based on her deep experience, helping parents better support their kids at home. Language immersion at Panda Garden was a huge bonus for our family. We speak Mandarin as a second language, but our daughter came home singing songs we'd never heard, using new vocabulary, and even teaching us! Michelle and the staff were also incredibly supportive of our own language development--patiently explaining things when we didn't fully understand and helping us reinforce the language at home (Michelle speaks English well, but we wanted to speak with her in Mandarin for our own practice). We are also incredibly impressed that students from non-Chinese-speaking families are able to hold fluent conversations with us in Mandarin after just a short time at Panda Garden, a testament to the effectiveness of language immersion in such a nurturing and supportive environment. We're so grateful for the strong foundation Panda gave our daughter, and we're already excited for our son to also start at Panda next year!

Long story: Little Star Preschool Too was my top choice from the beginning when I was touring preschools. I was delighted to see the campus (plenty of parking spots, quiet neighborhood, residential location and close to restaurants for afterschool pick up)! The preschool is large and has a huge yard for the children to play in during "recess" and at the end of the day. I think the actual amount of land they have for a school is impressive as the children are able to get their wiggles out without having to travel to a local park. While I was dazzled by the tour of the campus, I was absolutely amazed by the teachers and staff! They are all genuinely loving and greatly care about the well-being of the children! I am always greeted with a smile by each of the staff members during drop off. My child has so much fun playing with her peers and the large variety of toys, doing daily arts and crafts, eating their provided lunch and learning new subjects! She took a little bit of time to warm up to being in school and her teacher was so patient with her, spending extra time with her to help her transition. Other teachers and staff would step in to help out too if her teacher was not immediately available for help. Not only does the school teach "regular subjects" like letter recognition and counting, they also teach real life skills like what streetlights and stop signs are used for! (The school had a cute field trip around the neighborhood teaching the children about road safety). There are also a lot of extra features added to the curriculum to help enrich the children's education. There were dance performances, field trips, readings from books regarding different cultural festivals and traditions. The school is just so awesome and I am very happy with my choice. Thumbs up!

I appreciated that Little Star Preschool encouraged multiple playdate visits before he officially started, so that he could get used to the space and staff. All of the teachers were kind, patient, and gentle with him as he transitioned from a small daycare to preschool. They allowed him time to adjust and let him just observe at first, as he preferred, while holding onto his stuffy. His language skills have really exploded (I love hearing him repeat, "Wake up, little bodies!") and I know he's cared for while learning and playing.

The staff was supportive through the years when my son was behind in reading. Because of their help he is now up to grade level and excels in math. My daughter is also excelling. Those formative years at Dunham have really created a love of learning in our kids. The teachers, administration, and parents collaborate effectively to run the school in such a way that funds are well allocated to additional curriculum that are fun and educational for the kids. The garden is by far a wonderful addition to the school and really created a community connection between the families and the local agriculture of Sonoma County. Things like apple pressing, seasonal "plant start" sales, and the pumpkin patch where each child gets a pumpkin...these are things that kids remember for the rest of their lives. The end of year carnival is always a blast! It's a close knit community. As a small school, be prepared to face the challenges of kids getting sick of one another. There is only one class per grade so kids stay together. That results in bickering and splitting off eventually with their people. They are like siblings by the time they leave the school. Some kids get along better than others. But the variation of personality types and the inclusion of all demographics really gives these kids a sense of how to treat many types of people in and out of school. in my opinion, this small country school is one of the best in Sonoma County. It's a secret gem.
