Teachers= A Campus = A Administration= C What lackluster leadership at the top. Jenifer Hegenbart and Renee Semik, this is for you. Throughout the distance learning, you have simultaneously dragged your feet in expediting re-opening the campus and have remained radio silent on any progress (or lack thereof) pertaining to re-opening towards the small community at large. The tactic comes off as smug and indifferent. That being said, the only push back the community and tax paying has is to keep the inaction of your leadership in mind in the future when tax proposals for the school district or teachers union make their way to the ballots. I, for one, will never again vote to pass any measure or law that increases budget for operation. You simply don't deserve the additional funding. To reiterate, the teachers have been excellent. This is not an indictment on them in any way, shape or form. The head of the fish stinks and I hope it does not infect the body.

We enrolled him in 45/15 (evergreen), since the research I did shows that children retain education better when they don't have long breaks like summer. Thankfully I sold my home, moved back to west county, enrolled our son in Apple blossom and closed escrow. Phew! Lots of transition and apple blossom made the change of schools extremely non stressful! I was expecting what I went through at evergreen. What a blessing! His new teacher is AMAZING! I am thoroughly impressed with them in their entirety! The office staff are a joy and the principle makes a recognizable effort in getting to know each child and family. The computer lab just got fully updated and WOW! Bravo!! My son looks at learning as FUN, instead of a chore now and has long forgotten the terror he endured at evergreen. Thankfully he is resilient and strong! I am infinitely appreciative for this PUBLIC school! We played with the idea of putting him in Waldorf and in my opinion...This is a great balance. They even have a garden! Yayyy! And bravo again! Also, this school makes me WANT to get involved! My son's previous school had the complete opposite effect on me. Best kindergarten in Sonoma county! :)) I was even lucky enough to chaperone "the hungry catepillar" @ the Wells Fargo center. I am looking forward to the years that follow! :) Happy Monday! After her previous preschool closed, we were fortunate to find Woodside West, and it has been one of the best decisions we've made. The teachers are incredible--kind, patient, supportive, and genuinely invested in each child's success. You can tell they truly care about the children and create a warm, welcoming environment where kids feel safe, loved, and encouraged to learn. One of the first things I noticed was how secure the campus is. The coded front gate gives me peace of mind every day, and the school's convenient location is an added bonus. My daughter came from a preschool that focused more on free outdoor play with very little structure. Since attending Woodside West, she has grown so much. The curriculum does a wonderful job preparing children for the transition to elementary school through tracing, hands-on learning activities, sensory play, and age-appropriate academics, while still making learning fun. The outdoor space is absolutely beautiful! The playground is large, well maintained, and has soft artificial turf with plenty of play structures for the kids to enjoy. During warmer weather, they also have water tables, sensory bins, and other engaging outdoor activities. And of course, Dance Friday is always a highlight of the week! You can truly see the passion the owner has for the school. Their dedication and years of experience shine through in every aspect of the program and the caring atmosphere they've created. I also recently learned they offer a Big Kids Club for school-age children during summer break, which is such a wonderful option for families. We are so grateful for everything Woodside West has done for our daughter. She has grown academically, socially, and emotionally, and she is excited to go to school every day. If you're looking for a preschool with caring teachers, a safe environment, and a program that truly prepares children for kindergarten while still letting them be kids, I highly recommend Woodside West!

His younger brother has followed in his steps and is currently with Miss Jessica, keeping her on her toes. As our boys get older and continue to evolve, embracing their boy energy, the teachers really take the time to connect and find ways to communicate effectively with them (and us!). It really makes you feel like you're a giant parenting team. It's been the equivalent to having a second pair of mom hands. We absolutely love the teachers! Miss Jessica, Miss Mary, and Miss Allison have all been wonderful and instrumental to the growth in our boys. Diana has been a true gem of a business leader and we simply could not have done the early years without this incredible group of women. Both boys have thoroughly enjoyed their time there. Making friends and connections that I believe will last a long time. A value in itself. It takes a village to raise of a family, and I highly recommend making Woodside West a part of yours.

Because the school is fairly small, the teachers are able to give attention to each students needs while maintaining an orderly classroom. The teachers enthusiasm and love for the students is evidenced in and out of the classroom. It is not just about education though. It is also about building the character of the students through godly instruction, consistent modeling of thoughtful behaviors and use of kind words. The administration has worked hard to build the school into the kind of place kids want to attend and that parents are happy to support. The administrative staff is stellar as well! This…read morereview is intended to describe their Parent's Club President (Sherina Saul-Tuxson) ONLY. *** I attended "Family Night" here at my 3rd grade daughter's brand new school. It was especially exciting for us since I had just got married, so we were brand new to town and couldn't wait to meet new friends here! Everything was SO much fun... all the activities we got to share in with our kids and their teachers, great food and atmosphere! Then, as i was simply filling out a raffle ticket alongside other moms for our kids to win a park-date with their teacher, this woman comes STOMPING up behind me and (literally!) RIPS out my ticket from underneath my pen!!!! ...causing it to tear. I was in shock. Why this level of aggression, and in the midst of such a good time at an elementary school, and by a woman who i'd never seen before in my entire life??? Maybe it was an accident, etc... so I laughed it off and kindly asked her for a new ticket. But instead of apologizing, or explaining, or handing me another ticket... or any of the normal reactions i expected to get back from her, she took 2 giant steps -- directly into my face!! -- and yelled, "Too bad!," then walked away. I just stood there quietly IN SHOCK and confusion by what had just happened... when another mom (who saw it all) came right over to me. She told me that nasty girl was actually the Parents Club President named Sherina Saul-Tuxson, and that she had personally WITNESSED Sherina plotting with another mom to win that very raffle that i was entering!!! I coudn't believe it -- THAT is why Sherina ripped my ticket away from me!!! This woman also said that all her friends witnessed it too! (Apparently Sherina isn't terribly good at covering up her cheating.) Sure enough, that mom who Sherina was cheating for, went on to win the raffle. I just could not believe that this so-called president was capable of such low-life behavior, especially at an elementary school!!! Her CHEATING and AGGRESSIVE behavior toward me was ATROCIOUS beyond words. The next day, i reported Sherina to the principal. Although the principal was sympathetic and apologetic, she told me that since the Parents Club is separate from the school, there was nothing she could do. That is why i'm posting here -- To inform other mothers in the school, and the parents club members, about what Sherina did to me, how physically and verbally aggressively she treated me at the very first event of our loving new school, and all for NO other reason than to BULLY an unsuspecting Mother, in order to CHEAT at an elementary school family raffle. How pathetic and shameful. I'd also like to please raise awareness to elect a NEW president! I CAN'T WAIT to join the Parents Club -- as soon as she is dismissed. There is just NO ROOM for that kind of disgraceful behavior toward our fellow moms, and especially in the midst of our elementary-aged children. Thank you.
