She said Teresa made her feel confident and treated her with such respect and was so patient with her. She said there is no doubt that she learned more from her than her actual teachers. My daughter is now in college and thriving! She brought her SAT scores up and she has more confidence now than she ever has because of Teresa. I highly recommend her. Yes I've paid for cheaper tutors they where a waste of time. You get what you pay for with Teresa , a real credentialed experienced teacher. Thank you Teresa. Sincerely, Rick, Evette & Diana Feigel

My son is rather selective regarding tutors and really appreciated her teaching style. She gave my son confidence that he could get through the math material. I recommend her highly. Give her a try. Don't hesitate. You won't regret it!!

Long story: Little Star Preschool Too was my top choice from the beginning when I was touring preschools. I was delighted to see the campus (plenty of parking spots, quiet neighborhood, residential location and close to restaurants for afterschool pick up)! The preschool is large and has a huge yard for the children to play in during "recess" and at the end of the day. I think the actual amount of land they have for a school is impressive as the children are able to get their wiggles out without having to travel to a local park. While I was dazzled by the tour of the campus, I was absolutely amazed by the teachers and staff! They are all genuinely loving and greatly care about the well-being of the children! I am always greeted with a smile by each of the staff members during drop off. My child has so much fun playing with her peers and the large variety of toys, doing daily arts and crafts, eating their provided lunch and learning new subjects! She took a little bit of time to warm up to being in school and her teacher was so patient with her, spending extra time with her to help her transition. Other teachers and staff would step in to help out too if her teacher was not immediately available for help. Not only does the school teach "regular subjects" like letter recognition and counting, they also teach real life skills like what streetlights and stop signs are used for! (The school had a cute field trip around the neighborhood teaching the children about road safety). There are also a lot of extra features added to the curriculum to help enrich the children's education. There were dance performances, field trips, readings from books regarding different cultural festivals and traditions. The school is just so awesome and I am very happy with my choice. Thumbs up!

I appreciated that Little Star Preschool encouraged multiple playdate visits before he officially started, so that he could get used to the space and staff. All of the teachers were kind, patient, and gentle with him as he transitioned from a small daycare to preschool. They allowed him time to adjust and let him just observe at first, as he preferred, while holding onto his stuffy. His language skills have really exploded (I love hearing him repeat, "Wake up, little bodies!") and I know he's cared for while learning and playing.

Marin Christian has been fined and admonished by the State Department for failing to support parental rights and for false reporting. Marin Christian/Noahs Ark administration got inappropriately involved in our custody case by being a trial witness for dad and made meritless claims. Their school administrator complained to the family law judge that I was a demanding parent by making a ONETIME request for my daughter's student file. All parents under the State Department have a right to request for their child's students file without being penalized. The administration also created false statements and willful misleading reports for our custody case filled with meritless speculations. I'm glad to say, my daughter no longer attends this poorly managed school since I am now the primary caregiver to our child resulting from the school's biased witness statements in our custody trial. Despite providing the administration a copy of our custody order, Marin Christian failed to provide me any information for my daughter for over a year. I had reached out to management and the board for early resolution but was blatantly ignored because the dad was on their PTA and had personal relations with Marin Christian organization. My recommendation is for Marin Christian senior leadership and board members review its policies and procedures to ensure their organization and the school administrators are adhering to State Department policies and guidelines to ensure the school is abiding by the law, not making baseless accusations, not getting inappropriately involved in custody matters and not having parental bias. Very disappointing actions from a Christian-based institution.

Our children were given sugar almost everyday. We followed them on Facebook and saw that they were getting donuts, cookies, and sweets several times a week. We never signed a photo release waiver (even though they sent one home to us several times) and our kids were repeatedly posted on their Facebook page. Not okay, and so disrespectful. The kids were rewarded with otter pops if they napped. More sugar. We raise our kids to listen and respect their teachers, not do things because they will be rewarded with sugar. Our kids are potty trained. They were both sent home in their pull ups from nap on more occasions than I can count. Nap time starts at 12:30, and I would pick them up at 4/430. That's way too long to be in a pull up! One of my kids had a pull up so soiled it went through her pants. As if that's not enough, both our kids were sent home with dirty underwear. Fecal matter in their underwear several times. Our kids weren't being wiped thoroughly after having a bowel movement. I'll spare posting those photos, but I have several photos of all these events as I was starting to get very frustrated. There was one occasion where I picked my children up and one of them had peed their pants and the teacher had no idea. Lastly, I strongly felt one of my kids was mistreated and her self esteem was compromised due to the way she was treated behind closed doors. Over the weekends she's said things like " I don't want to go to yellow preschool. It's closed today" (yellow preschool being little angels). One time we were reading together and she stopped the book and said, "sorry is not enough". When I asked where she heard that she said yellow preschool. Who tells a 3 year old sorry is not enough, when they are trying to apologize? Nauseating. One of my kids said that miss Jessie yelled at her sister. Teachers are never suppose to yell at their students, ever. What does that teach the children? It makes me sick to think my kids were in that environment. I'm not one to leave negative Yelp reviews. Check my profile, I've literally only left 5 stars. My concern for children attending this school is what has lead to this post. I give it two stars. One for convenience as they got them in quick and they are located 3 minutes from our home. The other star is for Mrs. Jennifer who my children enjoyed most. They looked forward to attending her class on Fridays.

She is incredibly resourceful --whether it's tailoring lessons to my goals (conversational, ordering food, asking for directions), finding creative ways to explain tricky grammar, or sharing practical tips for real-world conversation, she always make sure students walk away with a deeper understanding, lots of practice time with each other, and had fun while doing it by focusing on topics that interests them or gamifying the lessons. She even wrote her own book series based on her experiences of what works best with young children and teens. Kyle balances professionalism with genuine warmth, so every session feels both productive and enjoyable. Despite my daughter's crazy schedule with sports, music, school activities, teacher Kyle always finds a way to be flexible and accommodate our needs. My daughter is now in high school and of course chose mandarin as her language of study because of the fun and support she received from teacher Kyle. If you're looking for a mandarin teacher who is not only skilled but also truly invested in your success, look for teacher Kyle!

She's been a wonderful teacher and makes learning Chinese a fun and enjoyable experience. She's friendly, engaging, and always has such positive energy. I'm so glad we found her! Kyle Laoshi uses a variety of games and activities to keep the class interesting, and she's so good at motivating my kids with fun digital prizes that they talk about with each other like they're real. ;] They like working from the printouts she provides, and they love how she shares funny personal stories related to the content they're learning. The class is a quick 30 minutes which works great for our busy schedule. Kyle makes efficient use of time in each session. The pace is just right and my kids are focused and engaged the whole time. Kyle is able to get them to chat conversationally in Chinese and participate often in each class. Our classes are usually a mix of native and non-native speakers, as well as kids of different ages. Kyle takes a lot of time before each new semester to make sure each student is placed in the best class for them. I highly recommend Kyle Laoshi as a Chinese teacher. She's a great fit for kids of all ages and skill levels, and she's always willing to work with you to find the best class for your child's needs. I'd recommend doing more than one class per week if your schedule allows, as we've found that both a conversational and a read/write class can provide a well-rounded learning experience. If you're looking for a dedicated, talented, and fun-loving teacher, Kyle is the one!
