I've been with this agency for about a year.
It seems they send you to work at a warehouse for a little less than 3 months...
then they tell you the order is over.
Then the next job they send you to is also about 3 months, and then again, the order is over.
I've worked for six companies through Pathways Group. Two of the six, companies I only worked 2 days, the other 4 companies I worked almost 3 months.
It seems that Pathways and the warehouses they send you to are in it...
only keeping workers for less than 90 days (3 months). I don't know why, but I'm sure it's some loophole they're taking advantage of, to get slave labor and not have to give you any raise or hire your permanent.
Each job they sent me to, the reps at Pathways have told me that it was long term to hire, but just before 90 days come up, of me busting my ass, showing up on time, going the extra mile for the companies and even coming in on Saturdays when asked for these companies, I get that call from Pathways reps, telling me the company no longer needs me, and within a week they send me to yet another company that is ALSO "long term to hire".
YES...
I agree with the other person who said that Pathways messed up on their check. I also experienced that. I did not get my check one week.
On another occasion, my check was short some hours.
Most of the companies they send you to treat you like you are an ex convict or an illegal alien whom they CAN treat like shit, or treat you as if you have no rights, or you're stupid and don't know your rights.
One of the permanent workers at company I worked asked me to stand on the forks of the forklift, while he lifted me up, to grab some boxes that were on a high rack. When I told them I was afraid of heights (which i'm not, but I'm not stupid either, and not risking my life for a measly $9 bucks!), the worker got angry and had me stop doing labeling and told me to go transfer forty 50lbs. bags from one pallet to another pallet.
Pathways will tell you the job you're going to is only a lite packing job, and when you first get to the company, it is... but the very next day they have you unloading or loading 30lbs.-50lbs. bags/boxes or what have you. Sort of a "bait and switch".
A cousins of mine also has had quite some experiences with Pathways... he would call Pathways to see if there was any work for him, and they would tell him "NO, call back tomorrow"... for a whole week straight, yet the company I was working at at the time kept getting new workers sent, from Pathways.
It's like they would keep him from work, so that he would jump at whatever shitty job they did call him back for.
I will be posting more on Pathways, as I am still working for them.
"WHY... if it sucks so bad?", you may ask.
because... I am doing research, on these so called "Job Agencies".
Well, 1 star is the lowest you can rate something, otherwise I would have gave Pathways ZERO stars.
