I came across this place by accident from a conversation with my friend. I had to show up to see this spot and feasted on the Lahori samosa, Szechuan samosas, paneer masala puff & THE VEG CUTLET IS A MUST. I first bought just one to try, went to the car and had to come back into the store to buy 6 more. The Madras coffee was refreshing and excellent. Best spot to find Indian groceries , sweets and snacks. The store is neat and organized. You can also find roti and naan in the snack section along with samosas, veg puffs , paneer puffs , vadas and so much more They also have a ton of decorative items for all your puja needs. Avoid. This store is literally Highway robbery. Everywhere else a bag of Ashirwaad flour is $19 (or $20)... these guys sell for $26!!! Chips like KURKURE are $1, these guys? $1.99. Finally the famous indian store chain is in AZ too. Huge store with plenty of varieties. Even the fresh vegetables options are huge. Everything not so fresh but decent. Masalas to grain to all possible aisles are big and well arranged. Greatly maintained interior but from outside it was damn dark. Even their logo was not glowing. It was our first visit to this store and hence took time to figure out location due to darkness. They even have a bakery section. 4 varieties of samosas and plenty of options for paratha too. Took methi and spinach varieties which are just fine. Not so cheap priced and also seems to be machine made only. Fresh than frozen ones but not so tasty. They even have some vegetarian food options but we didn't tried them so can't comment. Anyways great one stop shop for indian groceries and everything. Nice to have in any neighborhood. read more

It took me too long to visit Patel Brothers but I am so glad I finally did. I'm a very big fan of Indian cuisine, I not only love to Eat Indian food, I cook it at home too (and the feedback I hear is that I'm pretty good!). While many Middle Eastern and Asian food stores in the valley do sell some Indian ingredients, they mostly sell spices and some frozen items. Patel brothers however is like an Indian Oasis in the middle of Arizona. I could have spent hours just looking at all the produce, packaged food items and their freezer section but due to COVID, I was trying to go in and out as quickly as I can. From the produce section I got some fresh ginger, garlic, onions and chili peppers. The ginger was about the freshest (and tastiest) ginger I have purchased since I moved from Dubai! They have Indian veggies that you normally would not find at regular supermarkets like the small Indian eggplants for example. They also sell fresh curry leaves and fresh mint. Overall, I noticed that their veggies were slightly on the expensive side so I bought only the few items I mentioned earlier. It would be convenient to buy all your veggies at one spot so I hope they would consider lowering the prices for regular veggies such as tomatoes and cucumbers! Their spice isle is amazing, with pretty much every Indian spice under the sun. They also have more than one packaged food isle. They have noodles, Indian snacks, jaggery, honey, chutneys, achars, tea, coffee and so many more items on the shelves. Their fridge and freezer section were also pretty huge. I bought quite a few frozen items including kulfi, onion uttappam, some parathas and tandouri chicken. There were so many brands to choose from so I hope I picked some good ones. They also had frozen fish in the freezer which I might look more into the next time I'm there. At checkout, I was asked if I wanted a box or bags. I preferred a box to keep the frozen items cold until we finished all our shopping for the day. Everyone there was wearing a mask, employees and customers which was great. Although it's out of our way, the store has so many items that cannot be found elsewhere so it is definitely worth the drive. They'll be seeing more of me for sure! read more

Wonderful specialty grocery store with really nice staff (who didn't judge my totally overwhelmed self). We got a couple curry mixes and some vegetables that I haven't been able to find in other grocery stores (Indian eggplants) I don't know that much about Indian cooking, so can't tell if it has everything a more experienced cook would be looking for, but to me, it was a goldmine of new flavors and products! I happened to go the store about 3 months after it opened. I wanted to see how has it thrived after it first opened. I am sorry but I was a little disappointed to see the fresh produce. The produce is not so fresh anymore. The prices were bumped up. The same veggies the competitor stores are offering at a deal. Why would someone pay extra for the same set of veggies? The store is clean and stocked up but at this rate, they will only lose the customers. They need to come up with better plan and ideas. I did try their kitchen and the food is below average. The samosas are baked, which is a good health wise option but it's missing the taste. The katti roll is not worth to give a try. I'm displeased currently with the place and cutting down the stars because the fresh produce nor the kitchen section has impressed me. read more

What makes this Indian grocery store different from the other ones is the bakery operated in the back of the store. An excellent place to grab delicious samosa and fresh naan breads. I grabbed a box of the pistachio cookies. Oh boy, It was addictive! read more

Please be aware when you buy any frozen item or items from the bakery. The fresh Tepalas from the kitchen goes bad in one day (this has happened more many a times. And sone of the frozen items go bad even if the expiry date is one year away read more

Moving from an area around jersey city and spotting Patel brothers here is like paradise! Extensive variety of vegetables, frozen items, Indian sweets and ice cream! The fresh samosa (baked not deep Fried and with amazing filling inside), masala roti and thepla are amazing! I had a gala time eating 4 samosas alone while browsing and buying veggies, also had an ice cream to finish off. The store is massive, clean and with a lot of variety in every department. Their phone number is incorrect. It doesn't work. Also they don't offer curbside pick up or delivery, even through a partner. This is not good. Brown people can get COVID-19 too. Other than that I like the store and shop there often when I'm not threatened by death. read more

Very poor service I never get out of there at least spending a 100 bucks but the bagging staff seriously needs training. They arerude and want to put everything in one box and than when you tell them you would like bags instead they have a horrible attitude. They slam your groceries so by the time you get home it's all damaged. I keep trying to give them a chance but now I am not returning. Absolutely horrible service. Time to give small local stores a chance. Also don't ask the deli staff if something is good or how it tastes. She will snap at you and give you a rude answer as well as treat you like you are an inconvenience to her . Decent Indian grocery store. The frozen selection isn't that great. The staff doesn't have a sense of customer service, but that's normal for Indian stores. They need to have a better selection of sweets and fresh to-go food. Saw some Samosas in a warmer and looked like they had been there all day. Finally Patel's opened in Arizona ...was super excited ...I got some great deals here some fresh veggies ,grocery best thing is unlike other grocery stores especially Asian n Indian here you can buy things only as much as you need and no need to buy and hoard in bulk ...you get even a kilo or two n no need to buy bulk .they had amul ghee for a very nice price ..for Diwali they had very good offer n prices ..they so have wide range of sweets which are fresh and boxed ones too and I got some for festival..I tried their veg samosa and puff ..they have dhokla but you need to call and check as they run out soon...they have limited menu in kitchen but they will have more very soon was what I was told...clean store great ambience ..most cashier n working people are Indians and not bad for shopping ..hope more stores open nearer home..they have the brand Patel's and it is said you get everything at Patel's ..they sell everything here ...however limited stock of fish and the ones available are frozen ...I however got the mackeral and the silver fish here and loved them !! read more

Clean and well stocked up store but prices are ridiculous. One pays a hefty premium for so much staff hanging around there and the organization of the store. Everything has gone up by $2 and some of the items are not even available due to supply chain so they can jack up prices like this on the rest of them. This was our first visit and I have heard a lot about them from my wife as they have a lot of stores in east coast. I was blown away by their baked samosa! It was flavorful and crunchy. This was the best samosa I have ever had in US. I ended up eating 2 and my wife 3 (she loves samosa) we got normal grocery stuff, lot of varieties of veggies were there and looked fresh. They had a good variety of vadilal ice cream. We tried the kulfi and and kaccha pakka aam dolly omg both were bomb and we ended up getting one each and finished it in store itself. Stopped in because was curious and the market was awesome! There's so much to choose from and will definitely come back again! Plenty of different spices, rice, frozen and dried goods. It was a lot of fun walking around the store and the Tikka Masala Ruffles chips were an unexpected delight. Highly recommended!! read more

I was very excited for Patel Brothers store opened in Chandler AZ. Today was the third day and they where having sales of few items so it was very crowded day. As I was looking for few specific Indian items and when I was try to find those some who they were out of stock. I really got frustrated with that still I was holding my patients as I was aware about its only a first week of newly opened shop and as I was very crowded so you can't expect to have everything available. I went to food items section and asked for one item which my husband wanted to eat. They told me that its out of stock now so I told them oh Its happening with me with every single item I want to purchase today. That rude employee responded me that All Indians are beggar and all they want is free and discounted stuffs only. I really got angry on that response and I shouted on him because that response is not acceptable at all.He was also a Indian origin only.When I shouted and raised my voice he again replied covering his mistake saying we have less staff today as we recently open so we are managing and will be hiring more staff and again asked a stupid question asking Will you join in staff for free? . Now this was a hike of stupidity and I really got freakout and was about to call police for such a insult but I was aware that there are other customers and I don't wanted to create a scene so I controlled myself and here I am adding this review to let Patel Brother's management know that please don't take customers for granted. I was at the Starbucks nearby and saw the sign. I decided to check them out. They have fresh baby eggplant and the little coconuts you can drink. My favorite part is the samosas in the back for about a dollar each.... so good. They also have freshly baked flatbread that is quite yummy.
