This is a small train hub, with access to the Walter Rand Transportation Center and the Freedom Card Service Center. I haven't needed to connect to any other trains yet, and my FC is in good working order, so I haven't done anything other than take the regular PATCO. Nonetheless, I was here late at night alone to unexpectedly catch a train after Uber failed me (wouldn't recommend personally). Fortunately, the experience was seamless and no one bothered me. I wish I could say the same about the Collingswood PATCO (my current home base), but alas, drunken bros in Phillies caps run rampant there, so no matter where you are, keep your wits about you / use common sense.

Looking for the Riverline to head north to Trenton (where connections to Amtrak and the NJ Transit NYC-bound NE corridor train are found)? Then you must head across the street to the "broadway" station. The riverline platform is street level and easy to find. Cops are EVERYWHERE. At least they were at 3 pm on a Monday (can't speak to night time). I even heard a local lament their presence, implying it precluded a business transaction from taking place. Your nose may encounter the typical smells of human life here. Again, it gets the job done. Don't be a snob, use common sense. and you'll get where you need to go.

What I like about this SEPTA regional rail station and others on the Main Line is they have kept the vintage, historical feel - with huge help of course by the community organizations. Brick walk way and the historical train building and covering over the platform- definitely gives you a serene vibe than standing on a concrete platform a plastic bubble house with minimum seating. There are lots of trees in the background too that's brings color during the fall. Since land is scarce to expand in the area, parking is better than some of the small stations ( Ardmore) but not as plentiful as some of ones out in the further burbs like Paoli. I have not counted but wiki says 117 spots. With people still WFH they parking is easy to gets spot during AM commute and Free now Usually $1 day. Warning- when I commuted pre pandemic you were out of luck by 8am to find a spot. Negative is that the parking is a bit crammed and there are parallel spots to the tracks that are across the parking spaces. There is litle space between the two so when back out you have to be careful not to hit the car parked parallel to the tracks. Also it's a one way parking lot so when when everyone is coming in in the AM and coming out in the PM it's a wait. You can also get a monthly parking pass in a selected lot on the westbound side. Convenience - a Wynnewood shopping center and Whole Foods , Starbucks and First Watch is a block away. If you are in the area and plan to commute in the a regional Rail I pick this one. 15 min ride to 30th St Station - yay!-

Train schedules are quite different from morning to evening to weekends so I would make sure to research accordingly. Parking at the station is $1 and you must pay in quarters, you've been warned. It's convenient to surrounding towns and is a major train station for everyone who commutes into downtown for work. I'm a fan.

It's located right near it all! The station itself gets a little crowded after events, but it's nothing compared to the headache exiting the parking lot in a motor vehicle can be at times, especially if there's two events going on at the different arenas. There isn't always someone in the booths late at night so bring tokens or exact fare! It's not super dirty. I've definitely seen worse and I do feel pretty safe using it even super late at night. It's newly named AT&T and there's a big, bright lit up sign with this newer name on it making it very hard to miss. I would absolutely recommend using this station for anyone in the city who has a game or concert or whatever. Easy!

But this particular station gets five stars for being the most convenient way into the area for sporting events and other events at Lincoln Financial Field, Citizens Bank Park and the Wells Fargo Center. So I'll go with 3 stars. The location can't be beat and there are usually plenty of trains at peak (game/concert) times -- which is why I take the train to events whenever I can. But don't be surprised to see an unexplained, massive line to buy tokens, and expect the stations that you're traveling to and from to be on the dingy side (the stadium station itself isn't too bad in this regard). It would be great if Philadelphia and SEPTA could get things together enough to have the best of both worlds -- a convenient, efficient subway system AND frequent trains to AT&T Station at peak times.

Tips: There's no disadvantage to getting a SEPTAKey (transit card) at the kiosk before getting on the train. It works the same way as a Ventra card (Chicago) and a MetroCard (NYC). You can just pay the ticket person if you forget to pay the fare or don't have time to purchase before the train leaves (you will not get a fine issued, they will just ask you for payment when they walk around) If you are confused about where the train goes, download the Transit app which has the live location of the train. You can generally also tap to pay with your credit card on any of the SEPTA buses/trains. If you purchased a SEPTA card (as above) you can make an online account to store the card.
