However, I think what set Joe apart from the rest of the officiants we interviewed was the fact that he interviewed us individually. He excused us one by one so we can talk about what were truly loved and valued about one another. It felt very personalized. We booked him 9 months prior to the wedding and didn't even have to remind him about anything for the ceremony. He had everything organized to the "T" and it was absolutely perfect. 30 minutes prior to the wedding, he checked in with me and my husband to see how we were feeling, if we felt nervous and if there was anything he could do for us. He reiterated on multiple occasions that he wanted to be a part of our family. Even in that moment of stress, he took the time to really check in. He also made sure that we had our vows ready to go. The ceremony was quick 25 minutes, which all of our guests loved that it was succinct, memorable, and thoughtful. We laughed and we cried during our ceremony - it was something we'll never forget. Our wedding ceremony was beautiful, and I'm so glad Joe Stasi was a part of that moment in our lives.

I had FaceTimed with him and had worked over GoogleDoc to edit the wedding script to exactly what we wanted. BUT.... on the day of my wedding, Jolly Andy was late. My wedding ceremony was at 5:00 and he swept in at about 5:00 on the dot, and had to get mic'ed and ready. Per our FaceTime and contract, I had been expecting Andy at the latest by 4:30, just to give enough time to make any last minute changes and to actually introduce ourselves in person for the first time. Well 4:30 came and went and my day-of-coordinator did eventually get a call through to him and found out he had been held up in traffic (he hadn't tried to contact me). Understandable on any other day, but not when you are officiating someone's wedding! My parents and I were scrambling around asking friends of ours if they could officiate the wedding for us if it came down to it.... definitely not a stress a bride needs right before she ties the knot! The ceremony itself was nice, as it was word for word what we had worked on in the Google Doc. But the fact that he had been late and we hadn't gotten a chance to talk beforehand made the ceremony a little bit clunkier than it would have been otherwise and my blood pressure higher than it needed to be!

She checked out various sites until she found the perfect one that was exactly what we had wanted. She made sure we knew the process of getting a license ahead of time, organized the timing of arrival, ceremony, etc. She even dealt with rescheduling us twice due to rain, always with a smile and reassurance for us. Donna also provided many pre-written ceremonies and vows for us to choose from and let us modify them to make them our own. She even made gorgeous little vow booklets with our vows, for us to keep as mementos. Rebecca took stunning photographs, before, during, and after the ceremony. She made sure to get many different poses, candid and staged, and included the ocean view and cliffs that we had requested. We ended up with around 150 high quality photos, and she provided them in a gallery we could share with people, and also downloadable in hi-res for printing and sharing online. Donna and Rebecca helped us achieve exactly the wedding we had hoped for, and left us with keepsakes and photos to look back on forever; I highly recommend them!

We figured we'd just repeat a few words for the sake of a ceremony and move on... BUT THEN! We found Carol - the sweetest, caring reverend who added so many ornate intricate details to the ceremony and made it extra special for all guests. ** THE LEAD UP ** Carol spent time getting to know us personally, something not all officiants do. She also gave us homework that made us feel vulnerable with each other, and that made us feel closer together. I always thought couples counseling was for people who had issues, but it turns out you can feel closer together even when you didn't think it was possible! ** THE CEREMONY ** Carol was able to suggest things like a candle lighting, and chiming of a spiritual bowl in the beginning, but also added some lighthearted funny jokes within her speech. She brought our families closer together during the ceremony, and a found a way to get everyone involved when I thought originally it would just be my husband and I going down the aisle. Everyone was so touched by the ceremony, they mentioned this was certainly the highlight of the night -- many friends who have hearts of stone were moved and even teared up. :) Glad we were able to touch the hearts of all our friends and family with the help of Carol.
