I took excellent customer service for granted, back in the 70's and 80's... because it was always there. This business was established over 60 years ago, and has weathered the storm of the economies since then. Both the afore mentioned things are why they still exist. You'll find items priced competitively. Darrin assisted me with coins on my recent visit. He knows his stuff when it comes to precious metals. If you haven't bought used stuff, try this store. Especially on tools. If tools aren't being used on a daily basis then why pay new prices at the big box stores.

I have been coming here for years having my jewerly repaired by Phillip. I had a herringbone fixed…read moreawhile ago and dont wear it often. I had it on recently for severval days in February and had a allergic reaction. He had repaired the lobster claws clasps. He replaced with metal that had a 10k gold stamp on it. .when I took to him he was , short , rude and stated he wss not going to discuss it I asked him to test it with a magnetic to, he stated under his breath to Javier of course it would attract to magnetic because gold is metal, ha not true or the whole chain that is 31.2 grams 14 k gold would attract. That was about 3 weeks ago he said it would be fixed the next day. Called today he was just as rude as before but I limited interaction he asked when I would be in I said 90 minutes. I got there and he asked if a could leave and come back. The city was there and told them they needed to be closed in 1 hour or get a summons, so yep I am waiting. He fixed they clasp. Was still a jerk blamed the city. I brought a magnetic to test it myself knowing with his attitude he would not. He placed my chain on the counter walked away as he stated i hope you are happy this is a 200.00 clasp. First, it's not even enough gold in weight to be worth 200.00 so not true. I am disappointed that they were friendly and great until this point, if I was not allergic to metal I would have never discovered he replaced my real 14k gold clasps with metal marked as gold. The replacement is not marked and is scratched but hopefully when shops open I can get verified to be gold. Beware deceptive practices

No pressure to buy and patient enough to pull 10+ different guns for me to hold and look at. They were extremely knowledgeable about firearms, and not snooty about it which is also very rare. They had a decent selection new and used. I'd like to see them have a few more options but I've been to gun shops in the area with less, and he said they were low at the moment so I'll have to check back later I never leave reviews but this place earned five stars.

It's rare these days to receive OUTSTANDING customer service like this very often and to be treated with such courtesy & professionalism. I felt super compelled to write an EXCELLENT review because Chuck's attention to his customers, not only exemplifies qualify, commitment, but dedication to his customers as well; he has taken it to a completely higher level of performance. His level of detail far surpassed any expectation, for example; He not only was kind, curious, professional, and thorough during me & my husband's business with this store but he even remembered us both by name. Thank you for going above and beyond "the call of duty" of customer service that one could ever hope for. The attention he and his staff give is worth five stars and more! Keep up the good work and work ethic! I will and have recommended Capital Jewelry and Loan to numerous family, friends and neighbors!!!!

I then bought a different 18k Cuban chain from them. Took it to another jeweler to have it tested, and parts of it stuck to a magnet -- a clear sign it's not real gold, since genuine gold isn't magnetic. When I went back to raise the issue, instead of addressing it, they told me not to come back. Getting misrepresented metal purity twice from the same store is one thing, but being told not to return after catching it is what really says it all. Be careful buying "18k" or "14k" pieces here -- get everything independently tested before you leave the store.
