Tucked away in a small area, in a secluded square, this might be the best pasta you will have in all of Italy. Let's not forget about the tiramisu. For us, this surely was the best meal we had (simple or fancy). We had pesto, Ragu, and ravioli. Each dish was amazing. Who knew that simple fare could be so unique and memorable. The staff spoke English and made us feel at home. If going at night, the journey is worth it. read more

Another great place to eat if you are site seeing and you miss the afternoon lunch window of 12-2pm, traditionally in Italy and France. We were just waking along the Historico Centro and could smell the fantastic aroma coming from the restaurant. We noticed that there were patrons outside eating, so we decided to ask for a table for two. The wait staff was friendly and helped me improve on my Italian, which was fun and helpful. Both the fish and cheese stuffed ravioli and the house made trofetti pasta with pesto and fresh burrata was absolutely divine. Get the house wine, you won't be disappointed. This meal made my daughter and I trying to figure out how we could sneak this restaurant in another day during our stay. read more

Do NOT sleep on this restaurant because there are more reviews under Google compared to Yelp! This place is only a short walk away from the city center De Ferrari metro stop. We did not have much time and was also not looking to spend over $15 for pasta so we gave this place a shot. Google Maps led us through sketchy alleyways but it paid off because this place had the best carbonara we had during our two week stay in Europe... yes, I ordered carbonara almost at every restaurant we stopped at to compare The noodles was perfect al dente. The carbonara sauce was so creamy and eggy. The pork pieces were crispy and not too salty. You even have the option to upgrade your order to a larger size! Which in retrospect I wished I did. The picture is the regular serving. At the time of this post, the price was like $7-9? But the taste of the carbonara was more than that. Best food we had on our trip!! Do not pass up the pizza rolls! The line was long, but It's worth the wait!

Great food, great service, and enjoyed people watching after a long day of traveling. Outside seating area is shaded, which was nice!

Has no one (except some poor dude from Houston whose review was incorrectly flagged as fake by Yelp) reviewed this place? There's a reason it's the top rated cheap eat in Genoa on TA after 300 reviews! This place is ridiculously good for the price. And by price I mean $10 a head with drink and caperto. And by $ I mean euros. The awesome $6 burger will cost you $12 in the US, and $16 in weirdly overpriced burger loving France. The home made pesto lasagna is amazing, but the best part about this place is the tea service. You get a tea menu to order from, a timer, a pot, hot milk...this is $6 in SF, not $1.60. And by $ I mean euros. Friendly folks as well. read more

Can ask the same, only two reviews for this location? It is in the city of Genoa but still cheap and affordable food, which is simply delicious! We stayed 3 days and went there twice; the first time after we have arrived from the airport. We were super hungry and the restaurant full, hmm tricky, but no, the service was quick and very friendly, my focaccia and my partners burger fresh and tasty; cherry on top were the fries.... worth every calorie. Next evening we went there again, and again it was crowded. For good reason, because our pasta was heaven. They are freshly made and the Carbonara very "italian", not those Carbonara dishes of wanna-be Italian restaurants in Germany. Great! The focus for beverages is on a huge selection of beer (and the service is more than willing to explain the origin and taste) but a red and a white wine are available. The owner is simply nice and friendly and has a good team. As mentioned, it is located in one of the main streets (Via Garibaldi), so try it before or after shopping or when you prepare for Genoa's night life :). read more
