This review has been long due. Passion studio's crew has gone above and beyond to capture every moment that I either missed or wanted to cherish for my memories. The team was very professional and coordinated very well with our schedule. They did an outstanding job. Raymond made my wedding experience feel so comfortable and confident. I know every bride gets so nervous for their big day, but Raymond was able to distract you from that which made it fun and much enjoyable. There were many moments where my wedding coordinator failed to collaborate with Raymonds team but their team took the initiative to escape us from the hustle and bustle. I'm so glad that he insist we must do them. Looking back, I'm so thankful that we all did what we did because we would not have captured the beautiful pictures. In addiction he even dropped off our photos and videos in a cute usb package late at night once he finished editing. I don't have enough words to exclaim how much I loved working with Raymond and Logan. I first found their Instagram through a friend's wedding photos and immediately fell in love with their style and the moments they captured for everyone they worked with. Unfortunately they are based in NorCal and I was living in SoCal and then Oregon. Still, I hoped that one day I might still get to work with them. Fast forward a couple of years and I'm living in the Bay Area and looking for a maternity photographer. I knew who I wanted to ask but I wasn't sure if they only worked at weddings. I hired Raymond and his team in 2019 for my planned wedding in 2020. With the pandemic and everything we didn't get to finally meet until this year, 2022! To start off, our communication through emails were effective and I confidently trusted him and his vision. He always replied to my emails and/or text messages in a timely manner and with that, I knew we were in good hands.   2022 comes and we start preparing for our wedding day, with wedding timelines and expectations. The day comes and Raymond and his team get there earlier than said time, which was great because they were able to get shots of my grandmother preparing our ceremony tree. That might be my favorite scene because I get to cherish that forever. Raymond and his team were with us all day and works side by side with my photographer.   Raymond and his team texted me after the wedding to give me an expected date for when the video will be finished, and they actually finished before the date he provided! He was also amazing with the edits I asked him to make for the video, nothing major, just some name changes on the video. The result with our hour-long video and the 5-minute teaser video was amazing!! I highly recommend Passion Studios as the team to hire for your wedding day! We met the Passion Studios team a year and a half before our wedding at our best friends' wedding. We had just begun our own wedding planning at that time and had not yet thought about hiring photographers/videographers yet. A few months later they took our engagement photos in the Bay Area at 3 beautiful locations; we intended to use these photos for our save the dates. I'm not one to write reviews, but Passion Studio did everything above and beyond I would've ever expected. Raymond and his group captured every single moment with multiple angles and really allowed us to relive our wedding day. We found Raymond and his team at a Wedding Expo back in 2020 before the pandemic hit. We weighed our options, and narrowed it down to three potential photographers/videographers. After talking to all of them, what really made us side with Raymond was not just his artistic approach to photographs, but the genuine care he gave to us right at the start. After the pandemic hit, he was very accommodating, and made sure to take safe measures during our sessions. He was very understanding of our timeline as we were looking for a photographer to be at the venue early in the morning all the way till after the dance with a few traditional events throughout the day. They were also willing to drive to Yosemite for our initial photoshoot, but we were affected by COVID restrictions. His communication leading up to our engagement shoot, wedding and even after the events were top notch. Keep in mind we are not a photogenic couple, but they kept us all incredibly comfortable and in turn made the photos and videos look amazing. There were times where we would just sit around and they were extremely comfortable sparking a conversation with us. They were respectful to our family, and especially our parents, and this alone merits a strong review. They kept our families in mind, and were very focused on capturing absolutely everyone. One important thing to note here: Raymond was also extremely inviting and created a strong partnership with all the vendors. He partnered with our wedding planner to ensure that timeline made sense and to make sure he was prepared for the next event. I don't think there's another group of individuals I could've even imagined to create the memories they did on our wedding day. I have absolutely zero regrets and I cannot emphasize this enough: if you value creativity, a strong relationship and preserving important memories in your life, you absolutely do not need to look much further. We hired passion studio to be our videographer for our wedding and I could not be more happier. I knew they did great work because they did my sister's wedding (photo and video) and they also did my brother in law's sister's wedding as well. STOP YOUR SEARCH NOW, HIRE RAYMOND. (I hired him for both photo / video) But if you'd like a little more background than that...I can elaborate on my strong opinion. Like many other brides I was overwhelmed at the thought of picking from what seemed like thousands and thousands of vendors; and after going through recommendations from friends, bridal fairs, and yelp---I STILL didn't know who to pick. Then by some serendipitous/fortuitous Instagram searching, I stumbled upon Raymond. I liked what I saw, I liked how he captured moments, I liked how he edited. So I sent him an email, and he responded PROMPTLY. BOOKING: Raymond's pricing is more than fair for the work he puts out there--but is also comparable to many other photographers. However, he is not nit-picky when it comes to, the number of photos you receive, or charging more for the number of shooters he brings or calculating a per mile fee for the distance to your venue. He is so personable--and makes the booking feel less transnational and more personal! Wedding planning is stressful enough so I was ecstatic to work with Raymond, and booked sight unseen! BEFORE WEDDING: I only booked Raymond for photo originally (more than a year in advance), and a few months after I booked he told me I had won a complimentary engagement session! (I originally had not booked this due to budget constraints). Our engagement session was our first time meeting Raymond in person--and he had 2 other shooters with him! I thought this was above and beyond for a complimentary session. My husband and I are the most awkward people ever, but Raymond and his team made us feel comfortable and made the whole thing a lot less weird. After seeing our pictures from the engagement session we KNEW we made the right choice, even our awkward selves could look like MODELS. Raymond has the right eye to make any background / any awkward subject come out amazing looking. So after that session, my love of Raymond grew and I booked him for videography for the wedding day as well! Raymond stayed in contact with us prior to the wedding---hes a professional and understands the different considerations we would need to have for the wedding day. We were very chill--and honestly did not consider many things--but he brought them to our attention (I swear he's part wedding planner!) We knocked out the timing of his arrival, and different shots he was going to take---of all my vendors i felt most at ease that Raymond and his team were going to get things done. WEDDING DAY: Raymond and his team arrived in full force right on time, documenting all the before wedding photos, capturing all the little details I would definitely overlook if he didnt capture them. The best part of his presence is that he doesn't feel like a burden---with all the people walk in and out of my room on the wedding day it was so stressful, but Raymond is stealthy and calming! He made sure his team had my husband taken care of--I wasn't in contact with my husband--but Raymond kept him and his groomsmen all on track. He knew all the right shots for myself and our bridal party--we're all awkward/chill so we hadn't thought of poses ourselves; Raymond handled that. At the wedding, Raymond again captured all the little details, flying a drone over the top of our ceremony site, had shooters catching all angles, and kept me at ease that our big day was being captured properly. PRODUCT: The very next day Raymond gave me some previews of some pictures, which were AMAZING. A few weeks later I received the fully edited photos, wedding feature video (5 min), and full video coverage (1.5 hrs). The photos were exactly what I wanted, all the little details, all the emotions, and every shot was frame/instagram worthy! Raymond's true talent lies in catching emotions--the photos even though just a moment in time will capture and bring back all the feelings around that moment. The wedding feature video is the envy of all my friends and relatives! His editing skills brought out laughter, fun and tears all in 5 minutes time! They are absolutely amazing. Some of the most passionate (hence PASSION STUDIO) and talented guys I have ever met. They love what they do, and it shows in their work. My husband and I got engaged in November of 2019 and booked Passion Studios right away for our engagement shoot and our wedding on November of 2020 (video and photos all day package). Then Covid-19 hit and all hell broke out trying to postpone our wedding date to November 2021. Not only was Passion Studio understanding, Raymond made the transition simple for us. Honestly Covid-19 was every brides' worst nightmare, but they made it so much less stressful. Engagement photoshoot went very well. Raymond knows many beautiful places but is always willing to look into what you request/suggest. The photos turned out beautiful as expected. Our wedding was in San Jose, CA and the team (from Sacramento, CA) even made the extra effort of travelling and arriving the day before the wedding just to make sure that no issues arose. They were so professional and sweet all throughout the wedding. They crack jokes all the time so it made photos way less awkward looking. I raved about them so highly to my venue wedding coordinator, and after seeing their work and work ethics, she put Passion Studios on the venue's preferred vendors list! Passion Studio captured my cousin's wedding, my graduation photos, family photos, engagement photos, and did the photography and videography for my wedding this past October. To say Raymond and his team are now basically part of our large family is an understatement. Passion Studio was the first wedding vendor I booked and my easiest choice and easiest vendor to work with throughout the entire wedding planning process. Passion Studios did our wedding cinematography. We definitely wish we went with them for our photography as well because they just did so good for our videos. The videos we received was perfection. Raymond and his team were amazing to work with! He made the entire process so easy from start to end. We first met him at our engagement photo shoot, where he made us feel 100% comfortable. Then on to our actual wedding day. He and his team actually made taking pictures fun! It's taken me a month to write this because we really are at a loss for words to describe the amazing service and quality of work we received. From the start, the communication with Bang and the rest of the team was amazing. You can tell how humble he was and just how passionate they all were with all of their prospective clients, not to mention actual clients (once we booked). Planning: My hubby and I were introduced to Ray from a friend of a friend. Photography and videography was one of our "splurge" items for our wedding budget (which we have no regrets about). Unfortunately, most places do one or the other so $$$ can add up. We saw that Ray's team does both beautifully and worked with us to help us stay within budget. Meeting Ray: We met with him at a coffee shop close to our house and booked him on the spot. We met a total of 3 times (1-to book and plan engagement shoot, 2-to plan for wedding, and 3-to see the final videos and photos), and Ray was very flexible with scheduling. Engagement shoot: We went to a winery in Napa to catch the Fall colors. They were very familiar with the site and made suggestions as to how we should pose. We brought our own personal touches (our dog, props, etc.) and the whole thing was so fun to capture! Wedding: Ray and his team arrived the day before to capture our rehearsal... they even scoped out locations for photos on our wedding day! I kept thinking about how we were going to capture/pose for the most memorable shots, but Ray reminded us to just enjoy our time and let the day be as natural as possible. I can tell that they put in a lot of effort to capture the day, both the big moments and small. At the end of the night, they drove us out for some jaw-dropping night sky shots, which we will remember forever. It's incredible to think about how much thought and creativity went in behind the scenes to make our wedding photos/videos the masterpieces that they are. After getting recommendation from our friend and reading so many 5-star reviews here, we decided to work with Passion Studio for our wedding including photography, videography, engagement session, and photo booth service. Being a bride during this pandemic, I had to postpone our wedding almost a whole year, and had to make many last minute changes including venue change. Throughout this journey, Passion Studio was not just a vendor. They were our partners and friends who helped us have the most beautiful day of our lives. If I could, I would give them 50 stars! We held our engagement session in Davis, CA. My husband and I are not used to professional photo sessions so we felt pretty awkward at first but they helped us bring out the best in ourselves and be comfortable with cameras around us. Pictures obviously came out beautifully. This engagement session really helped us be comfortable for the actual wedding day photos and videos. Passion Studio team came early on our wedding day and set up everything perfectly. They were super professional and friendly and just so nice to work with. They genuinely cared about their bride and groom and captured our special moments with friends and family without us even realizing. They had spot-on recommendations on where to take pictures and we really just had fun throughout the whole day. They even offered to come back after our wedding to take more pictures of our after-party! Their photo booth was also so worth it.
