She was incredibly patient working with our newborn. We had a Star Wars theme we wanted and Tra helped us get several shots for that theme. I liken myself to the aggressively average photographer, often trying to take photos of myself and my family with middling success. This year, I decided to let a pro handle it instead of trying to save by doing it myself. Like all the DIY work around the house, sure you can do it yourself with various degrees of success but why not strive for the best. With this in mind, I scoured Instagram and yelp for some local photographers. That was when I found Tra and Two Twenty photos. Tra's portfolio and website really impressed me. One of the awesome things I found was a post of places to take fall family photos. Through her blog and portfolio I saw a photographer that really enjoyed her craft and really seemed to engage her clients in their photography. My interactions with her by text on the day prior were very friendly and attentive. We had scheduled one of the mini photo sessions for a quick fall photo shoot. The day of the shoot she was all business and was happy how she got quickly down to business. It was a short session but very substantial and exactly the type of photo shoot you want when you have small kids with even shorter attention spans. The follow up was great as well. She was able to help with the various options for canvas photos and holiday cards. From her Instagram she looks to be a very busy photographer but that didn't stop her from responding to my messages lightning quick and helping get my photos done for the season. Even for such a short season we had quite a few photos and she has a great natural style that didn't seem to require much editing. Couldn't have been any happier with my daughter's first birthday cake smash session. I discussed ideas and themes with Tra weeks in advance and she definitely exceeded my expectations. She was very personable and detail oriented during my session which resulted to a very pleasant first-time experience. Met with Tra right away. I called about 15 photographers and she was the only one to text me back within 10 minutes. We texted back and forth and set up a meeting right away. At the meeting we talked for about 3 hours. Not exaggerating. She is very detail oriented and wanted to get to know us well. She had samples, pricing and ideas at her fingertips. BOOM! So quick. It was a relief to work with a photographer that has it all. Then came the photo shoot prior to the event and the actual event. Tra and her husband were early. Captured every smile, every angel. Tra even sent some of our guests photos to their phone via Air Drop. They were so impressed. And so was I. We did not discuss that. But Tra went above and beyond. I know there are plenty of photographers but if you don't have a lot of time to micromanage and need your photographers to bring their A-game I would go with Two Twenty Photo. I do want to add that the quality was superb. I wanted a more natural look versus the overly photoshopped and Tra was able to photoshop the flaws without making out pictures look "fake". I had a maternity shoot with Tra a few weeks ago and she was excellent! My fiancé is a little camera shy and NEVER smiles with teeth...well Tra made him feel comfortable and laugh so we got plenty of smiles out of him. We also wanted to include our 4 year old Pit Bull in the shoot and Tra yet again did a great job at getting Nala (our dog) to sit, we got a few shots in which she is looking at the camera as if posing, haha. I LOVE this girl! I originally had wanted my cousin's boyfriend to do our wedding photography because that's what he does but when he declined (which I never thought would happen), I found myself in a bind. Even though the wedding was far enough in advance that I could find a photographer, I didn't know of any wedding photographers. After months of searching and not liking anyone's styles or packages, I reached out to my friends. Tra had met one of my bridesmaids at a party the year before. My bridesmaid sent me a list of photographers that she knew of and when I looked a Tra's Two Twenty Facebook, I fell in love. I just love how energetic, fun, fresh, and bright her photos were. When I contacted Tra, I was very nervous because I didn't know what to expect or if I would be able to get along with her. A few weeks after I first Facebook messaged her, we met at Starbucks for her to show me some work and talk about what I wanted in a photographer. Tra was everything and nothing like what I expected. She is very professional but very personable. I didn't think I would be able to connect with her like that but her sunny personality immediately puts you at ease and I felt like we had been friends forever. I was able to tell her my concerns and my insecurities about taking photos. We kept in touch until after I booked my venue and I booked Tra a month later for my engagement and wedding photos. I met Tra and Henry at a friend's wedding in Sacramento, CA. I loved Tra's photography style using natural light, her positive and upbeat personality, and good vibes! Ever since then, I knew that when it was my turn to get married, I would want her as our wedding photographer. From start to finish, she was very involved with us. We communicated through FaceTime, phone, and in-person. Anytime we had questions, she would respond to us right away. She took our engagement pictures in Napa, and we flew her out to Las Vegas where we got married. She guided us on how to pose, including when to suck it in (haha) and made it less awkward. She got along well with everyone in our wedding party and navigated through our Asian wedding capturing all the highlights. I have personally seen the hard work and effort this young lady, Tra, puts in to her photography work. Photography is truly a passion of hers which she has turned into reality. Once per year, I subject my family to the torture of sitting for family photos. Last year, I decided I wanted outdoor photos of our family in our local community. A friend of mine recommended Tra. of course, I suffered the traditional moaning and groaning from teh family beforehand: Do we have to? How long will this take? 1. We met Tra at a local park and right away, the kids (including my husband) were all having a blast. Somehow Tra made the whole experience fun. 2. Tra did her homework ahead of time, she visited the park before our shoot and already had an idea of the lay out, she knew which props she wanted to use, she had already chosen her filters, and she had plenty of ideas of different shots she wanted to take. This alleviated many of the indecisive "hmmm, maybe we should try this" moments we all hate. 3. She also took the time to question me ahead of time about what "feeling" it was I was trying to get out of my photo session. What was my goal? Whimsical and fun? Stoic and formal? She honestly cares and wants to give the customer what they want. She doesnt project her own preferences onto you. She listens to what you want. 4. Tra has a whimsical eye and a love for life that is contagious. It is hard to not have great pics when you are thinking such happy thoughts. A little pixie dust and we would have been flying off to Neverland!! 5. Once Tra has performed her magic with her photo effects, the results are amazing. 6. Not only is Tra a very talented photographer, she has wonderful work ethic and she devotes many hours to the finishing touches so you receive beautiful pictures in a very short time period. She understands just how excited we all are to see the final product. My family cannot wait for next year's photo session. We had the privilege of having a photo shoot with Tra for our daughter's first birthday as a gift from one of her uncles, and it was the best experience!
