7/16/2016 - Came here after having an amazing time seeing John Caparulo at The Improv Comedy Club. Myself and six of my girlfriends decided to come here. What a complete waste of time!. The place was beyond packed. I think we over exceeded the capacity of this place for sure. We kept wandering from dance hall to dance hall seeing if one was better than the other and it wasn't. It was so hot inside, I'm surprised no one passed out. I decided to get a Rum and Coke. I asked for Sailor Jerry and they didn't carry it. I said Captain, the bartender poured the cheapest white rum available. My friend wanted a tequila shot, the bartender again poured cheap liquor. The BILL $22!!!!!! The music is so loud, I had to sign to my friends for us to get the heck out of there!!! NEVER EVER AGAIN! read more

I will first say I have never paid to get into the club. I have always gone as a part of a party on the VIP list. If you don't want to go all the way to South Beach, but you are looking for somewhere for a smaller 10 or less group to go out and party like rock stars, Passions should certainly be on your list. I've been with groups much larger, but for bottle service the couches are small. I've been to functions with 50 people as well, and with a reservation you can have a VIP section so everyone is in one room with several couches. (I mention couches because after hours of dancing my feet hurt pretty bad and somewhere to sit, without leaving the party is important to me. Walk right to the left side of the rope in front of the line. Talk to the bouncer who looks up your name, puts a bracelet in your wrist and opens the rope for you. With the bracelet you can go almost anywhere in the club. Upstairs in the VIP bottle section you need a different wrist band. If you have ordered bottle service, then you will get your own white couch space with a separate bouncer which keeps others away from your party. The scene directly upstairs that overlooks the main room is not that different, but way less crowded. The second VIP room is much smaller, but you get drinks quicker and the jello shot girls are there ghetto most. I also think that the party gets much more wild in this room. Downstairs there is a room that plays Spanish and regaeton- but as stated in a previous review, that room gets over packed either people and when someone elbows you or stops on your foot in stillettos the party is over for you, so I stay clear of this room. read more

Not impressed with this club at all... First we all had to pay $20 each to get in. Music wasn't good. Around 1am it started to pick but not great. Tried the Spanish music room and it was packed, you couldn't even dance without being stepped on or elbowed, so we moved back to the main room. By 3am I was bored, ready to leave. I have been to this club a couple of times before, and I had a good time. Plus all those times most I had to pay was $10 so, I don't know if this is how this is now (it's been months since I've been here) or they were just had a bad DJ that night. Passion is still standing as the go-to dance club at the HardRock Casino. Long gone are the days of the chic club Opium, a few years gone from the club Pangea, and the Swamp across the way is second rate. Murphy's is a fun hangout spot but the dance area is super tiny. Soooo back to Passion! First, I have to mention cover charges and specials. I know this info is covered in other reviews, but my review would be incomplete without it. FRIDAYS: Ladies in free and drink free until midnight. The free drinks are well drinks served in a colored plastic cup. Guys, try to refrain from getting girls to get you drinks. I have seen bouncer dudes snatch many a plastic cup. A mini weak drink is not worth the hassle and/or the embarrassment. Guys pay a $20 cover, which some may say justifies sneaking free drinks... Passion is very spacious and there are 2 stories to party. However, the second floor is VIP after midnight or when the VIPs wannt to hit the bottle. No worries as there is a large dance on the main floor. The DJs are accomplished and spin top 40s and hip hop early on, followed by techno and a mix. One thing though, the music is ultra LOUD. If you're lookin to rap to a girl, or hoping to get to know a guy better, forget about it! This is a drink and dance party. On Saturdays, there are no specials, unless it's a special Saturday. No drink specials, but rather calendar girl shows, glow stick nite, and a wide variety of events. One such event, occurring every 2 months or so, is the popular Studio M 70s & 80s dance party. Perfect for my age group! Passion, from 7-11pm this night, is filled with dancing maniacs in their 30s-50s. And many dress up too! Huge afros, shiny gold chains, Top Gun sunglasses, bell bottoms, platform shoes, and bright polyester shirts are everywhere. I even saw a few Madonna and Michael Jackson impersonators. For Studio M, general admission is now $15 in advance and $25 at the door. Each price was recently jacked up $5. The general admission gets you open bar from 7-8pm if you can make it that early. For $65, if you wanna go viva loca style, is all you can eat and drink. Plus access to the VIP area. All options worth the money, especially if you just want to cut it loose. Footloose that is! Putting Studio M night aside, Passion is for a young crowd as is weekends most at most fav spots. To get around the $20 covers for guys, there are Passion promoters you can hit up. If you have at least 8 or so in your party, and some girls, you can all get in free before midnight. So for a pure energy dance club, give Passion a try at HardRock Casino. And Studio M is fun fun fun! Even if you were born in 1990, you will appreciate the festive party atmosphere. I have gone to Studio M twice, and the fun atmosphere can put you on Cloud 9! read more

3.5 star in Miami, 5 star in Broward is it rude to have a bias or county slant to a review? Well there are 5 places I would suggest in Miami before Passions. But, that's not to say passions is not one of the best spots in Broward. Myself and a couple friends popped in the other day and it was as good as we could have hoped, and a bit better the main floor starts slow. getting there early is nice though, it gives you time to get a layout and enjoy the free early drinks they offer. You can go on the side salsa room and cut a rug too with plenty of early room. It's hard to find, look to your far right right as you enter. It's a great spot if the thump of the main room gets to you. If you find a promoter in the area outside, that is the way to do it. The right guy can get you on the list and get you in free. Well worth it. If you want to stay local Broward and want to have a long wild night, start or finish or both at Passions. read more

Friday night and we are wondering through Hard Rock. The youngest baby in the family is finally 21 so we can get through the bumble bee security and check out the nightlife. The 3 different dj's seemed like it would be a great way to cover all our tastes. As we get drinks from the outside bar I hear, "Ya esta amaneciendo, el sol saliendo/ Yo amanezco a lado tuyosome" (J Balvin - 6 Am). I follow the music in and around and run into a room full of cholas. TF is this ish? Sign that I need another drink. Not sure if the outside bar is associated with this place or if it's a stand alone thing? But drinks were much better inside. I make my way through the bar. I'm just happy that at over 6 foot in heels I'm not the tallest person here. Dj is great but the night of salsa, bachata, merengue, & reggaeton - was more bachata & reggaeton then anything else. Strong drinks and friendly bartenders. Bu that just leads to some drunk dude grabbing me with his tongue sticking out slurring his abc's. TF is security? Make it back to VIP and people are sleep! Passed out - looks kinda dead - but we are gonna toast red bull and three olives over his body passed out!? Maybe I've been out of south Florida too long. We had a good time, but every so often people that were going overboard and we left before 3. It was okay for the night, but I'm in no big hurry to return. For this month my friends and I decided to get VIP tickets. Don't recommend it. It seems if they don't sell enough VIP tickets they don't open up the top floor(VIP room) instead they place you downstairs in a small designated section. A little disappointed, the tickets were not cheap. They served appetizers, drinks and water but the area that they had for us was not closed in so we shared it with everyone. I always had a good time here. The place is nice. Once per month they so something called Boogie Nights. They played music from the 80s and 70s some times people dress up to the era. Great place to go out and close to my house so it is convenient. There are different rooms playing different types of music ranging from top hits to rap/hip hop to Spanish music in general. Saturday's get more packed than Friday's. The bottles are decently priced for south Florida especially when compared to its more expensive south beach counter part. read more

I paid $30 to see a fight that never happened because my friend's opponent forfeited. I am very disappointed because they treated me like garbage and didn't even respect me at all. THE FIVE PEOPLE YOU MEET AT ........PASSION NIGHTCLUB As you enter the club, all I heard was some annoying top 40 song making sign language a must and my body felt the thud of every bass line. It made me think long and hard what was happening to me. Was this what heart palpitations felt like? I was already miserable and I had only made it five feet into the club. If I had known what would come next I think I would have stayed home. We went up to the VIP area; It was one of the worst VIP areas. Looking for a spot to dance was impossible since it was beyond packed in the VIP area. We tried to get back to our group, which was only 20 feet away, and it took us about ten minutes. (This leads me to talk about the first person you meet in this club, Big x Big Booty women.) 1) Big x Big Booty Women: These are the women that are generally together and do not understand the phrase 'excuse me'. Their GINORMOUS booties are known to cause claustrophobia for surrounding patrons. I happen to get caught between them and they bounced me around like a pinball setting a record bouncing one person around between booties at Passion Nightclub. They are generally surrounded by ghetto superstar wannabes, who are going bonkers over the massive jiggly booties and refuse to move for anyone. (Description to be discussed later.) After our 20 feet trek, my friends and girlfriend decided downstairs would be more fun. We went on our longer trek and at the upstairs balcony, it was hard to ignore all the hot, scantily clothed women all over the joint. (This leads to the second person you meet in this club. 2) Women Oozing of Sex: These women are the ones with ridiculous curves wearing ultra tight dresses. They are the ones that make you snap your necks. After spotting these women, the amount of spotted thongs went up double. Yes, they are the ones that put on the show. They are generally surrounded skull crushing meatheads. We maneuvered to a spot right outside the dance floor. This was where the hardest part of our journey began for us, but first we had to get by that guy who refuses to move for anyone. My girlfriend speaks up in what must have sounded like the timid voice of Laverne Hooks from Police Academy series, "excuse me". He turns around with a menacing look, "you got a problem". We immediately go for another route.(This leads to third person you meet in the club.) 3) Skull Crushing Meatheads: They varied in size. Some are tall and muscular, while others are short and stocky. They are like the Hulk and are always angry, so clubbers beware for them. These are the type that keep 'affliction' and 'tapout' in business by only wearing that apparel. To impress women oozing of sex they say " I am an mma fighter" Finally, we found our way onto the dance floor dancing with about two dozen people on our way to our destination. We collected sweat and nastiness from all of them; it was quite lovely. After we get settled with our overpriced, poorly made drinks in tow, we got hit with flying alcohol. (This leads to the fourth person you meet in the club.) 4) Overly Happy Dancer Flinging Drinks Everywhere: They are the ones with a full drink in their hands and throwing their hands in the air. After the drinks lands on someone, they are trying to befriend the victims. They are generally in their lower 20's and new to the club scene. After getting our clothes wet with alcohol from those overly happy dancers flinging drinks everywhere, my friend and I tried to get a drink, but to be thwarted by the aforementioned big x big booty women with their male fan club blocking our way. (This leads to the fifth person you meet in the club.) 5) Ghetto Superstar Wannabes: They are obnoxious. They are consciously rude to people. They are the ones with clothing three sizes too big; they are the ones with their pants so low that their boxers are clearly visible. They are the ones smoking black and milds. Lastly, they are madly in love with those big x big booty women. Also Considered: Overly sweaty people, the wasted bitch with missing shoes, the grumpy bouncer, the guy who dances up on women known as the the grinder. After our group had been bumping and forced to dance with undesirables for a couple hours, we decided it was time to leave Passion. We left with irregular heartbeats and soaked clothing smelling like a mixture of alcohol and cigarette smoke. It is always a guaranteed good time at Passions. read more

If you're in the mood to go out and have a great time, make sure you have great friends with you, b/c if you depend on this club to provide you with an unforgettable night, the only thing you won't forget is how bad the music and DJ were. Add to that a $20 cover (men & women) for a club definitely not worth it, and you've got yourself a recipe for disappointment. Also, don't bother buying the $5 shots the shot girls are walking around with. It's cheaper to just drink maple syrup straight out of the bottle and tastes much better. I don't have anything positive to say about this club, other than at least the line to get in went by fairly quick. This club has a lot of potential, with the layout and style, as it has a huge dance floor, elevated VIP section, and a separate room for enjoying other music; but I'm not sure I'd give them another chance, as it clearly wasn't worth it. We paid $20 to get in, and we were out of there two hours later b/c we'd rather waste the money than endure the experience a minute longer. The music was bad ADD hip hop, 30 seconds of this, 30 seconds of that, play an entire song please!!!! They had "shot girls" walking around with neon green alcohol going "You know you want a shot, you know you do? Oh they're five dollars" No thanks! I came here with my fiance and some friends for the 'Studio M' night, hosted by 102.7 FM. It goes from 7PM to 12AM. This is a 70's and 80's theme night. Given the time and theme of this event, I had a feeling that it would attract a crowd that we did not necessarily fit into. Was the club completely full of old people? YES Did this have any affect on how much fun I had? NO! This was seriously one of the most fun nights I've ever had going out dancing. Granted, we had to continue our night elsewhere after 12AM, because let's be honest, we're in our 20's still and don't go home at 12AM on a Saturday night. The music was awesome. Great song after great song. And the beats all made dancing easy. I saw some old people taking ecstasy. I saw someones grandmother shaking her butt on a platform. I'm not even exaggerating... I never knew that old people could get down like this. Between laughing and dancing and just having an overall time, I was only slightly uncomfortable. Omg by far the worst nightclub I've been too in a looooooong time! I very rarely and very seldom do I give low ratings but this place really "bumped" me the wrong way! The minute I stepped foot in this place I was literally bumped into, stepped on, pushed on, and ran into more than a dozen times!People are running around (because there is no club etiquette here) like zombies on a mission to get drunk and wasted (every other person was carrying two drinks and double fisting)... I went to the bathroom and each stall was double occupied and I can hear they were genuinely not using the restroom as u can hear they are busy taking selfies in the stall as others really have to go!! So we decided to go a little 'wild' last weekend and hit up Passions with another couple and a friend of my husbands. I am an experienced club-goer and I used to frequent Downtown and SOBE clubs in my partying days. I had been to Spirits and Pangea at the Hard Rock before and always had a blast, but that was years ago and you know how a clubs atmosphere can change from one week to the next, let alone years, so I wasn't sure exactly what to expect. Things that were cool about this club: - We got on a list and weren't hassled at the door. We got right in without waiting. - Lots of space to dance/chill/move around without having to squeeze between people. - Ladies drink free from 10-12 on Fridays (Not sure about Saturdays) - The bartenders were nice and were quick to move from person to person. - Music was alright, there was a back room where they played spanish music. I thought that was really cool. - Parking garage was right beside the club, so we didn't have to go far to get to the car. Things I didn't like: - There is this room upstairs in the back that when you enter, you have to basically leave the whole club and then come around the front to get back inside. It was really lame because they don't tell you that there is 'one way in but no way out' when you come in so you find out when you want to go to a different rom. Bleh.. - Attire. I guess its supposed to be a more casual environment compared to SOBE and such.. but I didn't really like that there were dudes there basically wearing t-shirts, shorts and sneakers. I guess I'm used to places that have dress codes so everyone inside looks nice. Not a deal breaker, but something to consider. All in all we had a great time. I'd recommend coming here to anyone who is curious, you really don't have anything to lose by coming inside. The main floor is decorated with speakers. As the evening progresses the speakers have drunken dancing ladies on them. Sometimes this is sexy, sometimes it is comical, you know depending on the lady dancing. There is nothing too special going on... there are two bars. One towards the entrance and one towards the back of the club past the restrooms. The music is usually the latest trends whatever there may be. I have not spent too much time there. Usually go for special events, V.I.P. invite to the second floor. The V.I.P. floor has two sections. Basic and bottles service. There is a back room, the music and lights are a bit different. There are body guards in front of the bottle service tables so if you have a private party and want to feel like a rock star, the back room has one way windows, you can see out and look at people walking by below you, you have a private younger, and half naked jello shot girls come over throughout the night. There aren't any big frills at this club. There are special guests that come, but you aren't going to see professional dancers or acrobats. No fancy costumes either. Wow. Read Shauna L.'s review and was blown away. Awful customer service and simply inhumane treatment if you ask me. I went to Passion's on my birthday night [Friday night]. Went with my hubby and two friends. The girls got in for free because my friend knew the bouncer, my hubby had to pay $20 to get in which is pretty expensive if you ask me. We had two drinks, one corona, and one baybreeze= $30 with tip. wow. but we ended up getting two free beers [fluke] so that made me feel a little better. There are two rooms in Passions, the main dance floor which is hip-hop-ish music. It was good music, I liked that. Then there is a smaller room that plays latin music. They played more bachata and less merengue & salsa. I am not a big fan of bachata so I didn't like that part but overall it was a fun crowd. They have a spanish room in the back with reggaeton which was nice, but way too small. I know one of the promoter's, so I got in for free, but usually it is $20 to get in. This is not worth it at all. The VIP area is nothing special and the main room is beyond packed. The best part of the club is the spanish room, but sometimes, it gets crazy packed. The bottle prices for this place is insane as well. You will regret getting it. I am not a fan of this place. Ok first off, Their so called "VIP" section upstairs is a JOKE! It is so packed that you can't even move! And I'm not even exaggerating... good luck trying to dance up there, which is what most people go to a club for, right? It was $10 for a well rum and coke. Are you kidding me???? It takes forever to get a drink and when you finally do, after paying $10 for WELL rum, they've loaded it with ice so you get about four sips. The downstairs area is a little better than upstairs, big dance floor, pretty good music but plan to have drinks spilled all over you and your feet stepped on every couple of minutes because of how crowded it is. This place is awful! I would never visit this establishment again! Not only did one of their upstanding employees feel inclined to yell at me four inches from my face, "are you f-ing stupid!?" for trying to leave out of the door that was labeled with an exit sign; but more recently my best girlfriend was subjected to discrimination based on her race and as a result was asked to pay a higher cover of $50 versus the normal $20. When confronted about it, the manager was unapologetic and ignored her. As far as I am concerned this behavior is incorrigible and should not be tolerated. I end up at this Casino nightclub because I was checking out this other small venue called the Art Bar in downtown Fort Lauderdale and there was nothing going on there on a Thursday night...This place has all the makings of a potential real great club, but charging big city prices for cover and drinks, when it's not really that cool a spot. It wasn't a particularly well built space considering these clubs in the casino were actually built from scratch to be clubs! The sound system was as good as any I have seen, the space would have been better if we could go to the upper balconies. The music was top fortish with some tracks of more edgier electronic music. The customer base seemed to be mostly tourists and being in the middle of a school vacation week for some of the states... I ended up leaving after a bit over an hour because they actually allow smoking inside the scenes and my lungs and body just couldn't handle it!!! read more

I celebrated Part I of my Bachelorette festivities at Passion a few months ago, and it was the perfect venue. My friends and I danced the night away to the awesome music blasting. I appreciated the age range of the clubgoers... not young enough that we were worried about getting vomited on, but not old enough that we were worried about being visually molested. I don't know were to start... Let me preface this by saying it could be my age (late 30s) that influenced my feelings about this place. Went for a birthday party and we were in the VIP area. CRAMMED in the VIP area with 2 other parties. (One was a bachelor party the other was bachelorette). OK, bottle service is not my favorite thing. Mostly because all kinds of people are grabbing at the drinks and spilling things and it gets gross and dirty really quick. Plus you end up with shoes covered in orange juice because drunk people have a hard time pouring I guess. So my friend and opted not to drink the liquor since it isn't out thing and at the bar they had beer as our only choice. Beer. That was it. The music was decent. But it was hard to dance, even in the VIP area where people kept shoving and shoving. Even the wait staff was on the rude side. Downstairs in a separate room they were playing latin music. It was impossible to walk through there because of the mobs and mobs of people. The smoke. Oy. The smoke was so bad my eyes started burning after a while. I got home and my hair and clothes smelled horrible. I just felt dirty and gross. read more

Terrible door people who seem to act like jerks for no apparent reason. They will turn you away for not looking well dressed enough in a button down but then they'll let someone in who is wearing a t-shirt. Very discriminatory. So where to begin with Passion. First of all this club is filled with middle aged tourists. Its the type of place you think of ONLY because you might not want to drive to Miami.... Get a hotel on south beach and save yourself the disappointment. The drinks are really over priced! I'm talking $15 for a long island that tastes like gasoline. The music is sad. The DJ plays clips of songs because their too cheap to purchase the rights to play a full song all the way through. TRULY HEINOUS! read more

We've visited this place before and it was fine. I thing ever over the top. The majority in our group decided to return and it was horrible. Not the place itself but the customer service from the entrance. Interestingly, this place was never on our radar unless there's a specific event. Now that pangea, and the other really cool places are closed. I believe passions entrance crew need a customer service crash course that includes touching, or yelling. This incident didn't occur to our group but it was a huge turn off for us as witnesses. As a result, we left and decided to skip the event and find another venue for the night. I am so glad we did...we landed at the ROOFTOP of BONGOS! Wow, what a blast. We didn't sit down the whole night. Ok, that's another review. I will not return to passions. read more

Went there on a Friday night, ladies got in free -yay! Diverse mix of people but perhaps due to location some ppl looked like they just stumbled in cuz were already hangin out at other places at the Hard rock. Some ppl dressed the part, but it seemed a rather lax dress code; some wore sneakers or beach sandles w/jeans, cargos. I've been there now twice. 1st time was DJ Zog, 2nd time dont remember the guys name. I LOVE A GOOD DJ- both of these guys were just OK. Zog was overated, as he didn't mix the music well when transitioning songs. Other guy on Fri did a better job w/that. For whatever reason both of them seemed to save the better music until later hours, I guess when more ppl wr there. i hate this strategy, a good DJ is gonna have enough GOOD music to last his set, it's not impossible-i've seen it done b4. Then I started hearing few repeat songs from 25 minutes ago. Free drinks for ladies B4 12AM both times I went. I got there abt 11:30. But be warned: U get what u pay for, a limited selction of bottom shelf liquor that is watered down to varying degrees depending on the bar tender. A bottle of beer is $8, asked for a small cup of water with drinks I paid for, bartender stated she would not give it to me cuz they sell bottled water at $6 each. Simple enough, went to a different bartender across the room she gave me the small cup of water asked for; I gave her the tip the other one should have gotten. The Latin room is good. Security was sufficient not intrusive. read more

Best night club in Broward County. Only open on Fridays and Saturdays. Friday night you have a choice of Top40/Open format in the main room or a Latin Room. Saturday night you have the same Top40/Open format in the main room, Latin Room, and them a third option of hip-hop. read more
