Due to me spending a fairly large portion of my 20's swinging between being a no good slacker and working in a very intensive job where I was never home, taking driving lessons was never massively high on my priorities or agenda. All that changed when my wife and myself found out we were expecting a baby and I thought I'd best pull out all the stops to pass before my daughter does in 17 years time.
So with having not driven in about 10 years I started by taking those first important steps by making sure I took a lesson a week for about 6 months. Having failed once 6 weeks ago (down to nerves I think), I eventually aced it yesterday and now feel like buying a Porsche to celebrate (only problem is I have no money...doh!)
I put my success fully down to Cathy who is very patient, professional and gives you a sense of belief that you can do it. She is fully about safety and making sure you think about what's on the road and potential situations that may affect your driving and passing your test.
It was £22 a lesson and Cathy covers Marple, Marple Bridge, Mellor, Offerton, Hazel Grove, Bramhall, Bredbury, Romiley, Woodley, Hyde, Poynton, High Lane, New Mills and Edgeley but says to give her a bell if your area isn't covered!
