Basil oil and garlic salt on fresh caprese salad !

I've been a member for more than a decade. The oils are the best I've ever cooked with and added to my salads and gourmet dishes. They also make terrific spices and specialty items that add a little "special" to my cooking. Love these folks!

It was my first time olive tasting in the Paso Robles area. Tatum our server brought out extra virgin olive oils that were flavored - along with bread. I loved sitting out in the patio with friends and enjoying the luxurious oils. I also enjoyed shopping at the store next door. And oh, the olive oil brownie was to did for!

We had a great olive oil tasting on a Sunday afternoon. No reservation required. The staff is very knowledgeable. The truffle salt is amazing and made with no oils or additives! They have indoor and outdoor seating.

I love spending time on the central coast of California. It's beautiful and there are so many wineries and vineyards to visit. I had the opportunity to visit an Olive Vineyard recently. I will admit that when I hear vineyard I just think of grapes and wines. This was my first olive one and it was really interesting. I visited Pasolivo in Paso Robles, CA. As we pulled up there was a tractor pulling a load of olives they had just picked. All their olives are hand picked. We then got a tour of how the olives were pressed to make olive oil. My favorite part of the trip was the Tasting Room! They had flavored olive oils in all sorts of flavors and various seasonings. You could grab a bag of bread and dip them in the various oils and spices. My favorite combination was surprising. I loved the Tangerine Olive oil mixed with the Barbecue blend. They're too flavors I would never think to combine, but they complimented each other so well. They also had a large selection of bath & body items, tapenades & jams, and more. I also ended up bring home some body butter and the most amazing Honey Bacon Mustard that I love dunking my pretzels in. They have so many unique items. If you're in the area it's totally worth a visit!

Rhonda was our host & she is wonderful. If you get her you are lucky. We learned lots about Olive oil , during our tasting. For $15 we sat on the heated patio with the amazing views . We were served 2 rounds if specialty olive oils , vinegars & salts . We got brief information on each of the samples & they served it with local baked brioche bread . I am sober so it was a great experience for me . We will be back but until then we left with some of their products & some good usage advice from Rhonda . I definitely recommend visiting. A bonus is the incredible drive up to the ranch

We walked into Pasolivo Ranch and they were able to accommodate an olive oil tasting for 4. The service was amazing. There were a few places to sit inside. They have lots of tables outside but since it was raining the only available seating they had was inside the store. We bought 4 olive oils and 2 vinegars from them.

The host will cover the different oils. Bread is provided and you can ask for more.

This was my first time olive oil tasting, so I didn't know what to expect. It was such a nice way to break up the wine tasting day - with some oil and bread in our stomachs! We had a large group and made a reservation in advance. The service was top notch for this unique experience. Beautiful property, friendly staff, and cute shop. Would highly recommend!

Found this place through Yelp and it was one of a couple just off our way south, so it wasn't hard to make a pit stop. We were helped by a brunette lady (I forget her name), who was delightful and very knowledgeable. She gave us a sampling tour which gave us the breadth of flavors of olive oils. Who knew there was so many varieties?! Ok so maybe just I don't know but... Anyway, we left with 2 varieties: the cucina (blend of varietals) and soltera (one olive) as well as a spice mix and some truffle salt. Mmmm all so good! We have since been ordering olive oil from Pasolivos now for a few months since the visit. And now we cannot go back to the Costco olive oil we used to get. Btw, imported olive oil is likely not pure olive oil. There's no quality control, so you don't know what you'll get (cut with canola, etc). Seriously, we cannot go back to our old olive oil ways. We are now addicted to this award winning locally sourced California olive oil from Pasolivos! I kinda wish we could give that lady who helped us some kind of commission for our monthly orders.

We planned a trip to see his farm on the last day of our trip. I sadly can't drink right now, so what else is there to do outside of family activities and wineries? Olive oil farming! It was a great way to end our time on the central coast. Richard started by telling us about his story of becoming the Olive oil man. He helped us learn about Olive trees (we had brought a branch from our tree), the olives themselves, and the milling process. He brought us into his tasting room, and we tried various oils and a vinegar, as wells as a few flavor pairings. We really have a new appreciation for not only olives, Olive oils, and farming, but Richard and smaller, non-commercial farmers. Every bottle is a labor of love crafted by him, his wife, and even his dog. The visit felt like we had visited an uncle, and we did buy oils (he definitely doesn't ask you to, but after tasting then and knowing the process, you definitely want to.) We were going to send some as gifts, but it's hard to appreciate something as much unless you've experienced it. We experienced the San Miguel Olive Farm and we're better for it. Thanks again Richard! We definitely will try to come up one October to experience the harvesting to complete the journey.
