Mike was always quick with responses in the utmost professional manner and was very personable. Working in the restaurant industry for over a decade, I was very very impressed by the staff and their attention to detail and being so helpful. They also made sure the bride & groom ate! The day goes by so quick, sometimes you just forget to really sit down! We opted with a buffet style dinner and we did add a PIG ROAST to our menu, which we highly recommend. Mike was carving the pig to order and had a variety of bbq and hot sauces for people to choose from. The presentation was epic & that piggy pig pig.. everyone was talking about it for days! We also had some leftovers that the staff wrapped up for us.. mmmm :) Twin Oaks handled dietary restrictions wonderfully, as when we were first getting into planning we were the most nervous about. This wedding was the ultimate test: Bride having Celiacs (gluten intolerance) & a dozen guests were vegan. Mike made sure every menu was properly labeled (even double checked labels to make sure everyone could read them properly) & everyone was fed, with vegan guests getting their own meal. Sat down with Bob several weeks ago to come up with menu for 30 people. I wanted it simple; no hot foods, just subs and a few salads. My family will eat ANYTHING. Bob mentioned wraps, subs, plus tortellini, pasta and potato salad. Sounded great to me. I specifically said I wanted the pasta salad with pancetta or prosciutto (which Bob mentioned and I said "YES! One of those please!"). The food was delivered right on time but the plates were way too small to have a sandwich and some salads. That didn't really matter in the end because what got small dry subs (bread was half the size of the regular subs), meh wraps, no meat in the pasta salad and the potato salad had a watery milk like sauce with chunks of potatoes so large you'd gag if you didn't cut them in half. The wraps, tortellini and half of the subs went. No one touched the potato or the pasta salads. I don't understand how the catered food could be SO disappointing from the food in the cases. When it came time to offer food for family to take home, nobody wanted it. So I paid for food to go in the garbage. Very, very disappointed!
