We have been coming here since 2020 when we first came to Tulum. I loved the kebabs, the hummous, salads and of course the fresh drinks. This last visit it seemed like the food was kind of flavorless- the hummous had no kick, the chicken kebab was plain, but the pita bread was good. The warm, inviting decor, relaxing Middle Eastern/Turkish music and delicious food come together to make this one of the best meals in downtown Tulum! We ordered the vegan mezze and chicken shish kabob to share and everything tasted wonderful. The beets, hummus and tabbouleh salad were my favorite parts of the mezze. I had been eyeing this place before I even arrived at tulum! I'm middle eastern myself and have been to different cities in turkey so I was excited to try this place which happened to be across my Airbnb. On our last night, we came here for dinner around 8:45 pm and ordered within a few minutes. Food We ordered shish kabob & Greek salad. The shish kabob was cold & that's not what we consider shish kabob in Turkey or even in Los Angeles. Service 3/5 our food took our 40 minutes even though only 3 tables were filled. That's a very long time for one main dish. There was one lady helping everyone and doing everything. She often disappeared and it was hard to find her. When we told her the food was cold, she said I wish you had told me 10 minutes ago because now you're done with the food even though I had been trying to call her over for a long time. Price 4/5 Prices are high here. The shish kabob dish was about $450 pesos which is about $26 USD and the same price you'd be paying in the states. Ambiance 4/5 They were playing middle eastern music but the place is extremely dark. It's probably best for some tea & dessert or small appetizers. Really excellent food, and calm beautiful ambiance. We ordered the hummus dip, the salmon platter and the chicken kabob. All of these dishes were so good! The salmon was cooked perfectly and the couscous was buttery delicious. The chicken was so tender it was almost like fish. I would have loved a glass of wine but they only served bottles, so we stuck with water. There are a few limited cocktails, but when the food is this good, it didn't hurt to save the space for all of the delicious food. read more

I love Turkish food, and it's sometimes hard to find a place that prepares good Turkish food that isn't a food truck or fast food; this place nailed it! It's an excellent place to go with friends and order their mezze platter! This time it was only my partner and me, and we ordered a mezze 8 + shrimp sish, the perfect amount of food (maybe a little too much); everything was super fresh and delicious. My husband and I ordered dinner to go from Pasha. Upon entering, I had such a calming feeling due to the amazing decor and relaxing ambiance. I ordered a greek salad with shrimp and a falafel appetizer. For my husband, a greek salad and the parsley pasta. We were a tad disappointed to find that the greek salad was prepared a little differently than what we're used to, but it was still pretty good, I thought. Their version is more of a tomato and cucumber salad which might be how it's prepared elsewhere, but we're used to a bed of lettuce. Everything else was quite enjoyable! Probably the most fantastic meal I had in Tulum. I saw Pasha in the car coming while driving into Tulum, and loved the exterior. great service, food and ambience. The music was fantastic, only thing I would have to say is that it was a bit dark in here, they really could have used a little more lighting. I ordered the salmon entree which came with a side salad, the shrimp skewers, the sweet potato ravioli, the tabule salad was to die for. Not a single thing we ordered was disappointing, everything was really top tier. My family of 13 came during opening time and it was heaven from there. Everything about this restaurant was exceptional: the service, the wonderful family, the food, the ambiance and even Maca, their cute dog. We ordered almost every vegetarian option and everyone was SO GOOD. We started to order extra things throughout the meal! The one meat item we got was the chicken shish kebab and we wish we had more! The food was so authentic and you can tell they care about what ingredients they use. Everyone was so fresh and there was not one thing we didn't like. We're all still dreaming about it! We loved how the restaurant is a local family owned business and everyone is involved. We decided to come to Pasha for our last dinner in Tulum and we are so glad we did. Like most places in Tulum, Pasha is cozy and has indoor and outdoor seating options. With either one you'll still have the intimate feel. It's fresher to sit in the open air portion of the restaurant to catch a breeze. Now on to the main event...the food was AMAZING! We started with the 8 traditional meze. Huge enough to share with more than just two people. We almost became full just from this. For our main course we got the lamb kebab and grilled shrimp platters. Each came with a salad and couscous. I've never had a lamb so tender!! Even the couscous just melts in your mouth. The flavors we so so good. Hands down our best meal in Tulum and we had some pretty great meals during our stay. Will definitely be back when we return. read more

One of the most charming restaurants we visited in Tulum. The Turkish decor with Persian rug-topped benches, lanterns, gravel floor, and decorative sheets hanging from the ceiling feels a world away from Mexico. It was relaxed and serene inside, and the food we had was great. We started with a tabbouleh salad, which was fresh, crunchy, and tangy. They seemed to have used romaine lettuce instead of parsley like traditional tabbouleh but it was good enough that neither of us minded. My boyfriend got a cup of Turkish coffee that came in a tiny, decorative mug -- it was strong, but good. I got mint tea which came in a cute little teapot. I appreciated that it didn't come with sugar in it, I've had way too many cloyingly sweet cups of mint tea. For mains, I got the vegetarian moussaka, which was our favorite of the two entrees: potatoes, sautéed peppers/onions/eggplant, and a béchamel sauce. It was rich (but not too much), warmly spiced, and perfectly cooked. My boyfriend got the lamb. The meat itself was tender and savory, but it was pretty fatty -- that might just be what you get with lamb, though. The carrots that came with it were also incredible, they soaked up all of the juices while cooking. We were too full for dessert, but if we hadn't been, I would've loved to try their baklava. Toward the end of our meal, one of the waiters came out with a big pot of incense that filled the room with smoke which irritated my eyes/nose/throat a little bit. We could've done without that, but it cleared out soon enough. Overall, 100% worth visiting, especially if you get a little tired of Mexican food for every meal. It was super tasty and a lovely romantic atmosphere. We'd come here again if we had more time. read more

If you're craving middle eastern food such as Greek, Cypriot, Lebanese, etc., in a romantic setting then come to Pasha. The moment you walk through the front entrance, you are transported to the Middle East: Bedouin style with gravel under feet in lieu of sand. You dine under a canopy of beautiful cascading drapes and hanging lights which sets a very romantic ambiance. The food is very good, I recommend ordering the kibbe (fried meat croquette) appetizer $150 and ask for some hot sauces. They come in adorable vintage-like glass bottles as does the olive oil. The green cilantro hot sauce is Delicious. I hope you're lucky enough to get Gaston as your server. He wasn't even our server but ended up assisting us more than our own server. He was so lovely and often checked in on us which we really appreciated. Gaston went above and beyond, even making us the mint lemonade frappe $55 that is only served during the daytime. I was very excited to try this place. The decor is very pretty and I wanted to eat something different while on our trip in Mexico. After reading reviews, we decided to give Pasha a try. Service was okay, but unfortunately quite slow. We waited 45 minutes between our appetizers and our main (I know this because I have been documenting our meals in Mexico and took a photo once the appetizer hit the table). During this there was a period where we felt like the server forgot about us, and where maybe our food wasn't coming. The vibe of the evening wasn't welcoming and compared to our last two weeks in Mexico, this was probably the most lack lustre in terms of service and treatment. When our food did come, one of the items was missing, but another server did come to correct it. The food was quite good, however was a bit expensive for what you get. Unfortunately we were disappointed at the end of the night, especially with how the night ended. We asked for the bill, and were asked if we could pay in American dollars, which we were told was fine. When we got the bill, we were told the exchange was 17. The receipt also included a recommend 15% tip, which is fine. It also included another piece of paper encouraging a tip, which we felt was off putting. When we received the bill, we decided as a group we would tip 10%, since we the food was acceptable but the service was subpar. A woman who I am assuming was the owner hovered over us while we were getting out our money and told us the bill was $xx. When we explained we would figure out the bill with 17 as the exchange, she was very pushy, demanding the 15% tip be included as that is standard in Mexico for outstanding service, however I would absolutely not describe our service as outstanding. She was absolutely insistent we were doing the math wrong (even though two of us had input the amounts into our calculators multiple times). Instead of asking how the experience could have been improved upon, she stood over us, demanding x number of dollars, making us feel stupid, as though we couldn't figure out how to pay the bill. We were going to leave the original 15%, but then almost left 0% because of how poorly the night ended, but left 10% because we didn't want to put our server out. It felt extremely uncomfortable to say the least. It didn't feel like she appreciated our business, but instead felt like she just wanted our money. It left such a sour taste in our mouths, and because of how we were treated at the end of the dinner, I would not recommend this place. I have travelled quite extensively in manly parts of the world, and I don't believe I have ever had an experience with quite the amount of pushiness by an owner for a tip. Because of how pushy the owner was at the end, I wonder where the tips are going as during the payment portion of the evening, our server was not around. I am writing this review as someone who has worked in service and hospitality in restaurants for almost 15 years, working where tip culture is the norm as well and where we receive a lot of tourists also. At the end of the day, it is the guests choice in regards to how much to tip. I have the utmost respect for people in the service industry, and I am in it myself, however this is not how you should behave and treat your guests. I don't expect a great response, as the responses from the owner seem defensive, however I wanted to leave my experience. I do hope the owner understands or whomever the woman was begins to treat guests with genuine respect and hospitality. Update: Owner responded to my Google review, saying maybe we came over Christmas, when it was very busy. No, it was not busy when we went.
