The first day of training made an IMMEDIATE, huge difference; we were shocked and thrilled. The black lab was incorporated into the training too. She talked plainly with us and was realistic about interventions we would and would not be able to make for the dogs. She is still the happy loving pup she always was but now she has boundaries. She doesn't pull me on walks, she doesn't jump up like she used to and will stop when given a command. She has yet to grab a remote, we are still careful with them especially when we aren't in the room. The transformation it incredible! Here was our experience: * Bruce seemed very kind and like he was skilled but I think he either just had too much going on in his personal life to take a board and train at that time OR took more dogs in for training than he said he would. It was supposed to be one on one board and training * We did not receive regular updates or photos as promised. The communication was very limited and concerning * It took significantly longer to get our dog back than the scheduled amount of time. * Our dog had a medical issue during the stay and we were not informed * When we got our dog back they were emaciated, Bruce stated this was normal because he doesn't feed dogs during training, and only feeds them when he is actively training. However it was alarming and you could see their bones * Our dog came back with bite wounds from another dog and was very different personality wise. It was as if they had PTSD. Overall, Bruce was always kind but we had an awful experience and it was troubling as a pet owner. I cannot recommend the services. I hope others and their fur babies had a better experience than ours.

I can understand if a shock may be needed in certain circumstances to deal with 1 particular advanced behavioral issue but not basic obedience training. The 2nd red flag was when we thought she was but the trainer - after spending 30-45 minutes in our house - goes to her van with dogs in cages!!! Had I seen those dogs in her van before the interview I would have told her to move on and don't bother. It was a night but it's still hot in FL and even if the ac was on that is awful to keep the dogs crated in a van like that when you know you have an interview scheduled.

I have a 3 year old pit-mix named Blu. He is not absurdly disobedient he just had a few problems…read moresuch as extreme pulling on the leash and easily excitable around other dogs and new people. Angel was a very nice individual and the training price was very appealing compared to other trainers. I was not informed that the training relied heavily on the e-collar until I arrived at the training location to drop Blu off. I have already had an e-collar at home for a while and it only improves his behavior when he wears it. I thought the training would be something like positive reinforcement training or any other training technique besides using the e-collar. I went with it only because I figured she was a professional dog trainer and not a first time dog owner like myself, so she probably knows how to properly train with it. I went with the three week board and train program that is offered because it was the best option for my work schedule. From day one of the three week board and train program Angel assured me that communication would be top tier and I wouldn't have to worry about that. She was very nice and said everything any dog owner would want to hear when entrusting their dog with a complete stranger. Nonetheless during the three weeks it was extremely hard to get in touch with Angel. I would text for a check in to make sure everything was going good every now and then, but I wouldn't receive a response for days on end which was very alarming and I was extremely worried. I gave Angel the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to be that she was busy training Blu. However this lack of communication continued throughout the entire three weeks which is unacceptable. On the day of pick up Angel offered to take me on a walk through in Home Depot with Blu to demonstrate the process of continuing the training at home. This walk through was explanatory and she provided useful information that I could use at home with Blu to keep up the improvements. This was a pleasant experience and I felt she explained and demonstrated very well. Once we were departing from Home Depot taking Blu home I noticed wounds on his elbows paws and his back legs. I immediately messaged Angel and asked for an explanation. I waited two weeks to give her a chance to respond before leaving my review, but I have yet to hear anything. I am very frustrated that Blu was sent home with injuries and no explanation as to what happened. Upon returning home Blu's behavior such as jumping on strangers from excitement seems to be the only major improvement. It still happens occasionally but not with everyone like before. He also continues to pull on walks even when I use the e-collar, the pulling seems to ease once he's exhausted himself. I follow all the routines and instructions Angel provided at Home Depot, but Blu reverts back to his previous behavior anytime the collar is off. I was informed that it would take time and repetition to see real improvements but it seems as though his good behavior is reliant on the e-collar. Angel informed me this would only happen if I put the e-collar on only when going on walks. However he wears it all day and I remove it at night as instructed. Overall the experience was not great but I would assume this is the reason the other training prices are so expensive. I believe the service was extremely overpriced for what I received, and I feel as though I've just paid $1400 for an e-collar and a few pointers.
