Overall everything worked out. But there was a little hiccup with my chair rental. In March I called and reserved 35 wooden chairs. Since rental places in Arnold (where my wedding was) are limited I spoke with someone who said we could pick up the chairs on Friday and return Sunday/Monday. Perfect! One thing to cross off the list. I received the invoice via email and was relieved. In August I get a phone call to confirm my chairs. They were doing inventory and had a large event Friday and I could no longer pick them up the night before and wouldn't be available until late Saturday morning. Knowing that it would be my family (the father and brother of the bride) picking them up I was very upset. After a few phone calls we were assured that they would be available by 9am Saturday. Still not what I was promised but they made it work! Also Friday we were doing counts of tablecloths and realized we were short a few. I was able to call and reserve some to be picked up with the chairs. That was perfect. Again, everything worked out but did cause a little stress. Thanks again. Updated: Wow. I ordered 20 tables, 150 chairs, umbrellas and a pop up tent from this company for my moms celebration of life. (Spending close to $2,000.) The night before the event they brought the tent and it was extremely dirty (pictures attached.) The tent tarp also was 10 feet bigger than the base so it was sunken in. When I called I was told I would get refunded for the tent because they actually knew it wasn't the right size. Plus the condition it was in. It has now almost been a month, I've reached out twice and have gotten no response. I didn't mind the tables being in poor shape because at least they were covered by linens. Or the chairs that had rust stains, because I could at least clean that up. Overall I had a bad experience, and I wouldn't recommend anyone to this company. read more

Laurie was our go to vendor when it came to planning our wedding in the woods of the Sierras. Not only do they deliver to the middle of nowhere, they're so laid back and have a perfect assortment of items for rent. They're extremely reasonably priced and don't require obscene deposits, just day of payment. I added so many little things at the last minute and Laurie took it in stride. To piggy back the review left previously by Danielle, and now reading the response the company has to her concerns is unbelievable. We were not giving them a difficult time because they were delayed because of the rain (we were understanding of that) it was the LACK OF COMMUNICATION. It is common courtesy to at least give a customer a call to let them know they will be late so they can prepare or at least communicate with the venue that more time to set up may be necessary. Had the rental company communicated with us and kept us updated on their arrival versus keeping us in the unknown this would've have been entirely different. Communication is key when working customer service and they failed in that aspect completely for this event which has led to everyone's frustration with them. Easiest thing to do is call and just say "hey still running late", it would be a minute phone call if that, but they did not take the time to even do that. read more

I attended a wedding reception at Avio Winery on Saturday, August 27th. I have to say, the entire venue was beautiful! The tables were displayed so elegantly and were flawless. Each table had its own matching umbrella to help the guests stay cool. The buffet and gift tables were put together nicely as well, complementing the remainder of the area. This company is unreliable, has terrible customer service, and has no regard for anyone's time. 190 chairs were ordered for a wedding and were supposed to be delivered the day before the ceremony at 3pm so everything could be set up. 3:30pm came around and no chairs or phone call advising they would be late. I called the business and a female answered with "Party Smart", in a I-don't-have-time-to-talk tone (later I found out she was the owner). Anyone with a concern for customer service would put more effort into proper and polite communication with customers/potential customers. I went on and asked the status of the chairs and she said they were being loaded and then on the way. I requested a more specific time and she was unable to provide one, only saying their business was a 20 min drive from the venue. 45 mins later the chairs were still missing. I called back understandably upset, and asked her how she was going to remedy the problem - she had no answer. She told me I was "giving her a very hard time" about the situation. Yes, I was MAD. I told her I would be reviewing the company on YELP. People were waiting to setup as we only had the venue for a set amount of time. Not once did she show remorse or have a care about letting us know they were going to be two hours late. She blamed the rainy weather, which I completely understand is out of her control, but why not give a heads up about the delay? Anyone who has been held to a deadline knows how infuriating it is to be given the run around. To top everything off, the chairs arrived dirty and everyone was scrambling to clean them before the cut off time. Good luck to you if you decide to go with this company. I guarantee there are more professional and courteous vendors in the area. Save yourself the stress. read more

Excellent service! I had a party last weekend and the delivery was excellent. Everything was set up perfect and all items were in great condition. I rented a sno-cone machine and a margarita machine. It was my wedding where the chairs arrived late/dirty. This company was easy to book with but I do have to say, they did lack on communication. A simple phone call advising you'll be arriving late would of taken seconds when we only had a short time to set up and do rehearsal. Yes, I understand we can't control the rain but we were given three different delivery times each time we called. They did not call us once to let us know they were running behind. When the chairs did arrive they were very dirty and we did have to scramble to clean them. Obviously we booked with this company because of the good reviews but our experience was not the best. If anyone knew us you would know that we are the farthest from being difficult customers and our other vendors would say the same. I am so grateful to Party Smart who helped me out with outdoor heaters for my daughters wedding in Ione at The Heirloom Inn! When the weather took a turn that we didn't expect, the bride was getting panicked that it would be too cold at her wedding. I was able to call their 'emergency party line' on a Saturday night and book 6 heaters to be delivered to the venue the next day! It took less than 5 minutes! We rented from Party Smart for our wedding this past weekend and we were very happy working with them! Our event was on the smaller side and everything went as smooth as possible. When I called in my order they were so friendly and helpful in recommending the correct tablecloth sizes for all of the different tables we had and they also were so on top of the delivery times! We had asked to have pick up after 11am because our wedding was held at a private residence and no one would be home before then. It was no problem and they showed up right past 11am which was perfect! The delivery men were professional, polite and very efficient! The only minor issue was that one of the chairs was missing padding on arrival (we had ordered extras so it really wasn't a problem!) and a few of the cups had worn edges on the gold lining. We did have to wipe down the chairs, but that was pretty much expected because they get transported all over due to this company being so awesome at what they do! Wow, Laurie was wonderful! Laurie was my direct contact through the entire wedding planning process! My husband and I went to meet with her in January to discuss what we were looking for. She set up two sizes of tables with table cloths and runners in my colors to help us decide what we wanted. She did not push us to try and upgrade anything, just gave us suggestions on what would be best for our outdoor wedding. I emailed her with all my changes I kept making, with numbers of guests changing, and she was always willing to add or subtract what we needed. Their prices are outstanding! Their delivery charge was only $75 (significantly lower than anywhere else) and it included both the set up AND break down of the dance floor! My husband said that after they unloaded and set up the dancefloor they were even offering to help set up the tent and tables for us, which we politely declined since they had other deliveries, but I thought that was so sweet to offer! Delivery was on time, everyone was professional, and the prices were wonderful.
