This review is long overdue. I had my wedding back in July, and a colleague of mine recommended Brandi to me. After meeting with her, I knew I needed to look no further. I didn't have anything specific in mind (as far as flower types etc.), but I knew the general "vibe" I wanted. After chatting colors, venue, and showing her a few examples of things I liked, she helped guide me in the right direction. I couldn't believe how absolutely beautiful all the bouquets turned out. We also had Brandi do our center-piece arrangements, and she nailed them. I couldn't have asked for more beautiful arrangements, and I received a lot of compliments on them throughout the night and even after the wedding. Brandi was also incredibly flexible though the process and helped us work within our budget. Brandi did my ceremony and reception flowers for my wedding in November 2017 and she absolutely nailed my vision. I loved my bouquets and I especially loved the eucalyptus garland she created for my head table. Brandi provided me with an extraordinary service when it came to my wedding flowers. She was able to envision what I had described and exceeded my expectations. The bouquets were full and looked so elegant in all of the photographs. The tall arrangements for the church were gorgeous and looked so magnificent it definitely accented the atmosphere of our ceremony. I can't possibly say enough glowing things about Brandi Richards and her fabulous Party Petals floral design business. Let me just start with the fact that her work is STUNNING. As a prior guest at many other weddings, I did *notice* the flowers briefly, but usually they are not that much of a stand out thing. They add a little pop of color, and you might say: oh those are pretty, but that's about it. For my wedding, Brandi went so above and beyond anything I've ever seen, that ALL NIGHT and even days after the wedding, people (men and women alike) were telling me and my husband and parents how cool the flowers were. Flowers were so important to me that I literally met with 7 floral designers (far more leg work than I did for any other type of vendor) in the greater Sacramento area, so that I could get it right. Another reason for this was that I wanted someone who could do spectacular work that didn't destroy my budget. Our initial meeting was so easy--she was so personable, relaxed, and great at letting me tell her as much or as little as I wanted about my thoughts or vision, and then I could instantly tell that she really really had LISTENED to what I said (I actually found this a very rare quality). She didn't get caught up in the inspirational photos I had brought and just say: "Oh so this is what you want?" Nor did she just throw out some run of the mill ideas tailored to my wedding colors, or expect me to tell her exactly what I want down to the last detail. When she put her ideas out there based on what I had said--she just hit the nail on the head so incredibly well--I just wanted to jump up and down. She found the perfect balance of what I was looking for and had completely original ideas that I had never heard before from anyone or thought of myself. Brandi just has the innate ability to balance all aspects of her job so well--listening, flexibility, creativity, design, organization--and make the client feel so comfortable and confident. The flowers turned out so much more beautiful than I ever imagined, and the value was so incredible!! Seriously, no matter what they size of your budget, very small to huge--she will be able to make your design look really special. I was worried that my expectations were too high based on the fact that I spent a year and a half planning this wedding and had watched every (crazy, unrealistic, expensive) wedding planning/designing show on the planet. But what Brandi taught me was that with her I could absolutely expect and receive something beyond excellent. She really is so talented and reasonable cost-wise--there is no reason why she shouldn't be on EVERYBODY'S list when it comes to meeting with florists for your wedding. Amazing!!! Brandi did such a beautiful job on the flowers for my wedding! She was even able to give me my favorite flowers that were out of season! We had a small flower emergency when one of the flower girls poms fell apart but Brandi was able to get me one before the ceremony even started. I had Brandi do my Bridal Shower flower arrangements as well as my wedding arrangements and they both turned out amazing. My bridal shower was themed a night in Paris and Brandi put together beautiful center pieces for the tables in this amazing blush purple color. It made the whole night pop having these low center pieces on the tables. The wedding was on a different level of amazing! She was the first florist that i talked to who informed me that the flowers I originally wanted would probably not be in season and that most other florists end up swapping flowers out that are similar. If you are a bride like i was, I want what I want and do not want last minute surprises like not receiving the flowers you had requested. She took the time and we made a plan a and plan b for flowers that I was happy with in case of emergency and that some flowers would not be available. She worked with me and all my scattered ideas to make it a dream wedding with amazing flowers. In the end, I got my plan a flowers for my fall black and white wedding!!! Brandi was AWESOME!!!! I met with her and two other florists a few months before my wedding and her vision and ideas for my wedding is what sold me. She took about an hour to go through everything with me, pin pointed my wants and needs for the wedding, and after leaving, she created an entire Pinterest board of ideas for me to look at. I knew when she showed this to me that she would do the most amazing job, and i was so right. Every bouquet was breathtaking and all centerpieces were just beautiful. She also did an "archway" of flowers throughout vines on a brick wall where the ceremony was held, and created a special garland piece for the mantle of the fireplace. Everything was way beyond my expectations and tied all the colors of the wedding together perfectly. I literally gasped when I first saw my bouquet! It was that perfect!! The arrangements were ABSOLUTELY AMAZING, more than we could have imagined. First, in the ballroom, the flowers were so so graceful and perfect for the ceremony! At the reception the flowers both in the mirrored vases and especially the candelabra arrangements just gave the Terrace at The Citizen such an elegant, classic ambience......and the girls bouquets...WOW. We had so many compliments from our family and friends, and even several of the staff members who have seen a lot of weddings said the flowers were stunning. And I have to second everything that Christina C. has said with regards to Brandi. She is so very personable, calming, caring and honest with regards to where you need flowers and where you don't! She is a great listener and then follows through with very thoughtful suggestions based on what she has heard. We were thrilled with the results in every respect.
