We met with Chris at the suggestion of our venue. Wow, was that a great lead! From our first meeting we totally felt like they got us, understood the esthetic we wanted and would pull off an epic, elegant look for our Anniversary and Vow Renewal. The Big Bang hit a home run, their arrangements were gorgeous and used exactly the colors we wanted. Their table design was flawless, the lighting was amazing. Walking into the venue, the Firehouse in Old Sac, set for a sit down dinner and ceremony for 170 on the patio was the most amazing thing. Just taking it all in, everyone at the party had complements for the flowers, candles and decorations and the whole mood they set. I can't imagine ever using anyone else for an event in the future. The Big Bang is just amazing. Thanks to Chris and his team for making magic! Cheers read more

CHRIS IS THE VERY BEST AT WHAT HE DOES!! He did our wedding at the Crocker Art Museum and knocked it out of the park. We met for our consultation and showed him some pics for ideas and over all vibe and let him handle the rest. He even came with me to help pick out linens! I seriously never imagined things would have been as perfect and beautiful on my wedding day, and it mostly gets attributed to him. Thank you Chris for everything. read more

UPDATE: Everything was GORGEOUS. Chris let us use his linen and his archway. He even threw in these little globes with a red rose in them to go with our Beauty & the Beast theme and I can't believe how beautiful everything turned out. The bouquets, the candelabras, and the rose petal swirls down the aisle. So many of our guests raved about how beautiful the decor was and we are so thrilled about how it all turned out!! We got to have a little Beauty & the Beast in the wedding without it being overwhelming and kept it very elegant. Thank you SO much! read more

All I can say is thank you to Chris and his team! I live in San Francisco and reached out to Big Bang Events for my brother and sister-in-laws baby shower, I was throwing for the new expectant parents in Sacramento. I trusted in Chris, let him know it was an Alice in Wonderland theme and from there everything flourished. I don't even know bakeries in the area and Chris gave me the name of the baker in Galt, 'Something Sweet Bakery' and who to speak with, he made everything so easy. What I can say is......there were 86 guests and every person was blown away by the work Big Bang Events had done and said they have never been to a baby shower like this. And I found out that Big Bang even made all the props themselves. I really want to thank Chris and his team again for giving my family and our friends a memorable day that will not be forgotten. Beautiful, exquisite and unique. read more

My husband and I hired them to do our bridal party flowers. Chris was very personable and friendly. We loved talking with him. He quoted us the day of our appointment, and we paid. I was nervous to order real flowers just because I would not be able to see them prior to the day of, but they delivered! My bridal bouquet was beautiful, and the rest of the flowers were perfect. I am so happy with how the flowers came out, and the delivery was on time and effortless. Thank you Chris and everyone at The Big Bang! read more

What can I say?! My wedding was beautiful!! Truly unique, artistic and nothing short of exquisite. Chris is an artist. He has talent galore and is a fun, charismatic and entertaining person. He stands behind his work and is going to get the job done right! So...why not 5 stars you ask?! Well, although the end result was perfect (which is definitely the main thing), the process could have been easier. Maybe it is just my type A personality, but it wasn't always easy working with Chris. Emails would often not be answered or answered with one short sentence days later. I felt I was annoying them when I wanted to change or add things (even when my first venue cancelled and I was forced to start over.) There were some battles over the rules of my new venue which really caused me a lot of stress and were completely unnecessary. It was just always a bit more effort on my part then I felt was warranted when, after all, I was paying him to do a job for me. The end result was, going into it my wedding day, I didn't have that feeling of confidence I really wanted. That said, the day of my wedding, the flowers, the decor, the execution was flawless!! No detail was forgotten, it was beyond beautiful!! I was so happy with all of his work. Because of this I thought about not even mentioning the other stuff, but it was almost a year of frustration on my part, so I think brides should be prepared that if they are control freaks like I am, they are in for a bit of a headache. But it was WELL worth the end result!! I would book him again in a heartbeat and would just be prepared to feel like a nag haha. read more

My all time favorite boutique In the neighborhood. Just about my entire wedding decor come off of it, and way more than my expectations and went above and beyond to make it about our special day. The owner Chris really stocks really excellent and quality brands and tries to accommodate the customer to their liking. Everything I've gotten there is definitely worth the price, which makes his services worth it all. read more

Chris recently did my wedding at Park Winters Hotel. He has impeccable taste, and it was so easy to communicate with him on any and all questions that I had. He put me at ease right away, and I felt very comfortable with how much knowledge and experience he has with weddings and other events. The finished product was more than I could have asked for!! Chris and Brent are awesome! They did the flowers and so much more for my daughter's wedding last Saturday at Arden Hills. Chris was so much fun to work with and after we met the first time, it was like we had known each other for a long time. Chris made us feel like we were in good hands. He reassured my daughter that he saw her vision and her vision came to life on her wedding day. We went to look at the Heritage Room prior to anyone going in and they did not disappoint! It was my daughter's vision for sure. I highly recommend The Big Bang for your next wedding, special event... read more

I loved working with Chris! He really exceeded my expectations. What is so great about him is that he isn't just a florist, he is a designer. He really has a eye for design and decoration. I showed him pictures of what I wanted and he delivered. My bouquet flowers were so beautiful and dramatic. I really wanted something that was grand and not cookie cutter. My bridesmaid bouquets were also way more beautiful than I expected. We also ordered chargers to make the tables look more complete. The centerpieces were perfect. We had floating candles and normal candles with flowers intermixed. And the flowers lasted for almost 2 weeks! He also covered our cake in a cascade of flowers which was so spectacular! I have never seen so many flowers on a cake a one time:) We also rented a runner for the church from Chris which was beautful. He made pretty bows out of ribbon for the isles and decorated the candelabras up front with flowers. Overall I loved his style and everything that he did for us and I was surprised by how much our budget bought us. Thank you Chris for making our wedding so stunning! read more

Chris is an endless source of creativity, talent and entertainment! I've attended many beautiful weddings styled by The Big Bang, so selecting them as the florist for our wedding was a complete given. Chris really knows all the area's venues and has ideas for making every nook and cranny look incredible. Example: he turned an otherwise ordinary (read: unsightly) curtained wall into an amazing display piece by hanging oversized gold frames exhibiting floral works of art in front of the fabric and adding up-lighting for emphasis. Genius and gorgeous! read more

Chris is AMAZING!! The Big Bang did the florals for our 7/1/17 wedding at Scribner Bend Vineyards. I worked with the Big Bang for my May wedding. Chris and his staff designed the all the flowers, ceremony decorations, and reception centerpieces. Most importantly, their designs set the ambiance for the evening! The group is incredibly talented, having both an educational background and years of professional experience in interior design, party planning, and floral design. In addition to taking the time to get to know my vision and budget, they offered up suggestions that they thought I might like regarding the design aesthetic. I felt so comfortable with their ability to deliver on my vision, that I asked them to use their creative talents to improve on what we'd decided to do. The result was an absolutely stunning set of flowers and a posh and elegant interior atmosphere for the reception. The Big Bang can do it all...from following a strict set of requirements set by the most hands-on bride to being highly self motivated and creative for the most hands-off bride. I would recommend the Big Bang for any size and type of event. Thank you Chris for making my special day memorable and indulgent! read more

These guys have been my number one pick for 10 years. Not only do they create the most amazing sets I've ever photographed but they bring allot to the table. Chris is a master at design and his team is the best in the business. My brides are always blown away with his unique and one of a kind design that he consistantly executes. Being the wedding photographer allows me to hear the good and the bad after the wedding regarding vendors and I always here great feedback about the Big Bang. Chris and his team at The Big Bang absolutely MADE my wedding. Guest after guest continues to tell me that flowers/decor/centerpieces were the most gorgeous they have ever seen (and they were). I gave Chris my ideas and literally 100 pictures of different examples where I liked something here and something there (or hated something in one, etc), but I was not exactly sure of what the end result should be. We met a couple times and he took the time to know me in order to figure out what it was that I wanted for my wedding. In the end, Chris was able to bring everything together, delivering something even more beautiful than what I had envisioned. On top of the beautiful work Chris does, he is fantastic to work with. He made this part of my wedding planning more fun than any other. He also made me comfortable to the point that I knew he would show up with something I loved and I didn't have to spend any time micromanaging this aspect of the wedding. He takes a personal interest in each event and it is more than just a business to him. Delivering a product that you will personally love is his priority. I can't say enough great things about Chris and The Big Bang!!! read more

Chris and his crew (Brett) did my daughter's wedding flowers, not only is Chris hilarious, he has great ideas and pretty much read my mind with how I wanted the flowers to look. When he dropped off the flower arrangements my jaw about hit the floor. They were well beyond what I was expecting. We had shown him pictures and he knew we had a budget so when he delivered these beautiful arrangements, I was pretty much shocked. I wasn't expecting nearly as many of the flowers that we wanted (frankly thought there would be more filler flowers - baby's breath). They were gorgeous! And my daughter's bouquet was EXACTLY what she wanted. She about screamed when she saw it...Will definitely use them when my next girl gets married! read more

Chris did such a wonderful job on the flowers for my wedding at Wine and Roses in Lodi! I showed him a photo of what I was hoping for and on my wedding day, what I got was even better! He does not skimp on the florals- my bridesmaid bouquets were full! And the best part is he uses a technique that allows the bouquets to be in floral foam (hidden), so they do not start to wilt in the heat right away! I would highly recommend Big Bang! read more
