Shannon is AMAZING!!! We started working with her back in 2019 when we were first planning our wedding. Fast forward to March of 2020, we had to make the difficult decision to postpone due to the pandemic. Shannon was incredibly responsive, compassionate, and helped us figure out how to navigate a time that no one could have anticipated. We ended up postponing twice overall and re-envisioning our entire celebration. Shannon made it so easy for us and was with us every step of the way. As far as the flowers -- Shannon really helped me articulate the aesthetic we were going for and executed it flawlessly, with her own unique twist. They enhanced the event 100000% and we received so many compliments on the gorgeous arrangements. Shannon really listens to what is important to you, but takes it 5 steps further and enhances your visions to something you couldn't have imagined. A true master of her craft! I couldn't recommend Shannon and her team more for your special day. Do yourself a favor and book them now! read more

We had an outdoor wedding in Napa last summer. We both wanted flowers that brought out the natural beauty and added - well - some flourish. Shannon and her crew equaled and exceeded our expectations. She didn't just do a good job, she did a fantastic job! The flowers are an important part of what made our wedding day so exquisite. I should add that I don't know much about flowers. Shannon didn't shame me for being a flower dummy, and was able to answer my questions and make the process feel fluid. read more

Shannon is THE BEST! I love love loved all my flowers! She really tuned into the vibe I was going for without me having to over explain. She kept track of all my random requests, and she has a keen eye for details. Everything was beautiful and exceeded expectations. My bouquets and arrangements were so gorgeous; the arch decor was the arch of my dreams. My wedding was in July in Foresthill (95 degrees) but my flowers still looked amazing the next day. Shannon is the most talented florist! The flowers she did for my wedding truly took my breath away. She took my vision and made it a reality. She was also so great to work with, she was friendly, helpful and professional. She was very understanding when we had to move our wedding due to the pandemic. She was also very patient with me when I changed up my florals and decor design a couple of times. In addition, she had great ideas when it came to centerpiece design and accents. I was told by many guests just how beautiful everything was and as a bride I could not have been happier with the flowers, decor and overall design on my wedding day. She brought my vision to life and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend Shannon, she is amazing and you will not be disappointed! read more

Shannon exceeded every idea and expectation I had for my wedding florals! She was flexible and accommodating through the many twists and turns with COVID wedding planning and delivered florals more beautiful than the inspiration photos we discussed. I cannot recommend Flourish enough! read more

Shannon came to me highly recommended, and she did not disappoint. Since my mom had been a floral designer for many years, I had high expectations for my flowers and they were an important part of my wedding vision. Shannon worked closely with our wedding planner to align the floral design with our overall design and she personally came up with many innovative and creative design contributions herself. When flowers I liked were out of season, she came up with perfectly similar options-some more beautiful that my first choice. Her proposal was very detailed and she put together a design package that made it very easy to see the intended result. The flowers she produced were absolutely stunning and we received MANY MANY complements on them. They were flawless and far exceeded my expectations. Shannon also worked very closely with our budget and was flexible in making last minute changes as our budget was adjusted close to our wedding. She even contributed some of her own supplies to help! Shannon was warm, knowledgeable and professional. I would highly recommend Flourish Designs, our flowers were a highlight of our wedding! read more

Working with Shannon to design the flowers for our wedding was an absolute joy! I had a vague vision of what I wanted but very little practical knowledge of flowers and she was able to take my thoughts and design the most beautiful displays. We got endless compliments from our guests on how beautiful the flowers were and every time I look at the photos and see the flowers it brings me joy! In addition to delivering a wonderful final product, Shannon was great to work with throughout the entire process. It's been a while since I have written a review, but I had to come out of hiding for this one. My cousin got married last weekend here in town, and she hired Flourish to do her flowers. They turned out beautifully! Shannon took all of the ideas that were thrown at her, and came up with the most perfect arrangements. Beyond anything we could have imagined. Flowers I didn't even know existed! And it wasn't just flowers... it was ART. Amazing! Personable, yet very professional. I HIGHLY recommend Flourish!! read more

Shannon, the owner of Flourish, was fantastic to work with. She is incredibly talented in her artistic vision and expertise. She really puts together unique and gorgeous combinations, and I felt like I could trust that her vision would exceed my expectations, and it did. She also did not bat an eye at our limited budget, she gave great suggestions on how we could cut cost and stretch the budget as much as we could for the look we wanted. Above all, we knew that Shannon genuinely cared about our wedding and was excited to help make our big day look gorgeous. She went above and beyond on more than one occasion, including giving my new in-laws a ride up the steep hill between our ceremony and reception after our family pictures, so they could get to cocktail hour faster. The flowers, bouquets, and arrangements from Flourish really speak for themselves, but its the personal service that really sets Shannon apart and makes me very happy to recommend Flourish to anyone for their wedding or other event. read more

Shannon just did my wedding and her work was AMAZING! She's simply the best, and everyone is still commenting on how beautiful the flowers were! We couldn't have been more thrilled, and the special touches and extra work she put into everything was both gorgeous and memorable. On top of that, she's a total joy to work with, and happily worked within our budget. Highly creative and talented, Shannon blew me away on the day-of and I am still in awe of how gorgeous the bouquets and centerpieces were. I didn't know that was possible with our "limited" floral budget, and it seriously looked like a million bucks. I am so thankful for her hard work and professionalism. Flourish - Bridal bouquet - blew me away! Shannon outdid herself :) - Floral Designers Near Me

My partner and I have little knowledge or experience when it comes to flowers, let alone weddings. We had no color scheme, no real ideas, and our botanical knowledge only related to edible plants. Shannon, however, knew how to take the reigns and offer up options that were colorful and contemporary by interviewing us and getting a feel for us as a couple. She developed a color scheme based on my partner's military army green uniform and my khaki linen suit - working with blue and yellow flowers and various green succulents. Since I work as a food writer she surprised me by working sage and rosemary into my boutonniere, and into the corsages for the ladies in our wedding party. It was darling! The table settings and the beyond breathtaking backsplash she set up at the banquet table astonished everyone. Smart, inventive, and able to work in a tight budget and offer good suggestions Shannon is THE florist to have at your wedding. read more

Where do we even begin? How about i start by saying THANK YOU to SHANNON for making our special day into a 5 star event! My new wife and I write this review together because we were so impressed with Shannon and her ability to not only make you feel comfortable, but feel like her own family. From the initial call when we were interviewing florists, we knew she was the one. We understood that flowers can make or break a wedding ambiance, and with Shannon and Flourish, they add that elegance you always wanted. She listened to us and worked with us and ensured we knew everything she was doing for us. Her recommendations and her listening skills helped guide us along the way. The personalized office meeting a couple months before the wedding was great and she even engaged our kids in the whole process. Then the big day... she was there on time with her staff, they set up and made sure nothing was left un touched. We received multiple compliments through out the wedding day, she took ownership for other vendors messing up, and she took ownership to make things right. And things were right and perfect! We truly are so thankful we hired her and budgeted for Flourish because it was worth it. I am a penny pincher, and i must say you can NOT cut corners with flowers, and we didn't, and it was all worth it. The flowers made our pictures go from good to great, made the mansion go from great to elegant, and made our smiles bigger than ever. THANK YOU SHANNON SO MUCH!!! We will recommend her to anyone that asks! read more

I'm not very particular when it comes to specifics because I have no knowledge of flowers but I am pretty particular with the overall look and how the flowers will complete my wedding vision. Shannon listened to what my husband and I wanted - even to what our parents wanted - and was able to match the right flowers, the right arrangements, and the right accents with what we wanted the guests to take away on our wedding day. Everything was so gorgeous. We received so many compliments on the flowers and table arrangements. Plus Shannon tried her very best to match our budget and was very understanding of our constraints. To me, that is utmost professionalism at work. Shannon really knows her stuff. After our initial consultation, my husband and I had complete trust in her taste and wisdom when it comes to which flowers/plants/fruits/vases/etc to get. I had a worry-free experience with her and, as a bride, that's priceless! read more

I cannot say enough good things about Flourish. Shannon and her team were fantastic! She completely understood the vision I had for my wedding and she made it come to life. She even made it BETTER than I had imagined and I didn't think that was possible. The best part was, she really listened to my wants and needs and came up with a plan that I was comfortable with at a price I could afford. She presented me with two different proposals, at two different price points, to really ensure that I had options and was satisfied. I even through her a curveball at the 11th hour and she didn't bat an eye. She was so flexible and accommodating, even when it really was asking her to go above and beyond. At the end of the day, I could not be happier with the beautiful flowers that brought my dream wedding to life, the fabulous staff at Flourish that worked so hard, or the wonderful/generous/talented owner (Shannon) who was such a pleasure to work with. read more

This is a review that has been a long time coming. I got married in April of this year at Forest House Lodge in Foresthill and I hired Shannon (Flourish) to do the job for my flowers, centerpieces and table decor. Let me say she is fantastic to work with! Being someone who knows very little about the flower business, I really didn't know what to expect or even what to pick for my big day. I know what kinds of flowers I like in general, but not until I talked to Shannon did I realize there were soo many options! You never realize how much time and creativity goes into preparing these little works of art until you yourself is tasked with having to pick out flowers for some special occasion. My wedding was prohibition themed and I knew I wanted colors that portrayed an art deco appeal with colors that popped. I know red is a very traditional color, but I love the color red in flowers and I knew I wanted that as my main flower color. I also knew I wanted to incorporate vintage style brooches through my bouquet. Now how were we going to do all of this I thought?? I felt like maybe it seemed like the colors I had in mind may be too much. After discussing to Shannon my theme and vision of utilizing a retro vintage inspired color palette, she came up with red as the main color just as I wanted with pops of blue/green and hints of purple. She even used purple thistle which is the Scottish national emblem to add a more personal touch since my hubby is Scottish American. We incorporated that romantic era theme by adding mercury glass candle votives on the accent tables and dining tables, along with rose petals scattered though out. Everything came out sooo beautiful and romantic. Much more beautiful than I even imagined. I had many people complimenting all the beautiful arrangements and at the end of my wedding I gave many away. I still have friends who have dried the flowers from my day and have them on display in their homes! I would def refer anyone to Shannon. Once you meet her in person, you see she is just as bubbly and personable in person as on the phone and through email. She most definitely cares about her clients and it is apparent she really loves what she does! I hope some day I can use her services again. read more

We could not have loved working with Shannon more. We fully trusted her to execute our ideas and she beyond delivered. Our flowers were gorgeous. I couldn't have dreamed of it looking as amazing as it did when I walked in and I was so extremely happy with how everything turned out. We got so many compliments on how beautiful it all was. If I ever need another florist I would not hesitate to pick Shannon again. read more

We had a consult with Flourish...needless to say we did not walk away satisfied or interested in the service of this company. We LOVE that wedding vendors speak their minds, but this vendor continually told us that the suggestions or ideas we had were "childish". Also when we would say what our vision was she would say "that's nice, but I have an idea that is better." or "okay, but here is what I thinking." Nothing we said seemed to matter. More proof of that was the fact that we specifically started with "WE WANT NO ROSES." she wrote it down, but then continually suggested throwing in roses. UPSETTING! Then about 1 week later we sent an email asking if we could see the estimate, and we never heard anything back. Really UPSETTING!! We let the venue know our experience as they suggested this vendor. Seems we may just have had a bad experience. Maybe just an off day for Flourish......beware read more

My husband and I each identified what was most important to us when we were planning our big day. For my husband it was the bar, for me it was the flowers. I'm not creative or artistic, I didn't have "a vision", I just wanted it to be beautiful and dramatic. Shannon first called and we went over the space, colors, etc. What came next were photos of beautiful flowers, design, decor. Then Shannon met us at the venue and came up with countless more whimsical and creative solutions to an otherwise difficult space. Shannon worked seamlessly with my other vendors and planners. The day of Shannon completely blew me away. The flowers and design were out of a magazine. She far and exceeded my expectations. Shannon is kind, patient, incredibly knowledgeable, and someone who you want to spend time with. I don't have the words to express what having her as our florist meant but it truly was my favorite part of our day! read more

Shannon's eye for beauty and elegance, with a touch of whimsy, are unparalleled. She made our wedding go from standard to SPLENDID. Her floral designs and the embellishments that she suggested, surpassed our expectations. I actually took a moment, mid-ceremony, to have our guests applaud the bouquet. It was representative of the Fall season without being "Pumpkin Spice Latte Fall". Antique yet modern, with hues of Corals and Amethysts. Stunning. She was prompt and professional. A true gem to work with. read more

I cannot praise Shannon enough!!! Not only is she an incredible florist she's a pleasure to work with. As I began to plan my destination wedding in Lake Tahoe I knew immediately that florals were going to be a VERY important aspect, if not one of the most important. I'm an avid gardener, love succulents and wanted that to show. I began reaching out to florists as soon as I set the date and became somewhat distraught....it seemed like no one understood my vision. I had spoken with several florists (and expanded my search area) when I finally found Flourish. Shannon was bubbly, passionate & said she could bring my vision to life! She sent me a mood board with colors, flower selections, ribbon colors, etc. it was in this moment I knew she was my florist! She just got it. Over the next several months we stayed in close contact and every time I changed my mind or asked to add new items I was met with an "of course" or "we'd love to"! Even a few weeks before my wedding I was adding more succulents and the team at Flourish was kind enough to say yes! When we finally met in person it was like hanging out with an old friend (who's crazy talented!) Fast forward to my wedding day - I had wanted to include peonies in my bouquet, but they're not in season in August. When Shannon walked in holding my bouquet and I saw peoonies I felt tears well up inside. She said she found some all the way in Alaska....and surprised me! Talk about florist of the year! I decided to do a moon arch with asymmetrical flowers as the ceremony backdrop....holy moly was it even more beautiful than I could've imagined. As I sat down at my table and looked at how gorgeous Flourish made everything look I was overjoyed. The majority of my guests even commented on how lovely all my florals were! Shannon is amazing! She is truly a creative genius and made my low-budget wedding venue look like a million bucks. During our initial meeting, Shannon helped guide me through different options (I did not have a concrete vision other than "pinks, greens, and ivory") and even looked at my Pinterest board with me to determine the style of florals and decorations I might want. She was very thorough and followed up our meeting with a detailed cost estimate and PDF of possible flowers and decorations. She was completely understanding of my tight budget and accommodated my limitations seamlessly. Shannon was wonderfully communicative and obviously cared about making sure everything was perfect for my wedding. She made sure that everything was beautiful and the day honestly wouldn't have been the same without her talent. Thank you so much Flourish!!! read more

We could not be happier with our wedding floral designs from Shannon! I don't know a lot about flowers, so Shannon took my Pinterest ideas and brought them to life seamlessly! I used Shannon based on venue referral and she was responsive and helpful on the business end. I never met with her in person just communicated through email and this may have been a matter of communication breakdown.
