I had my wedding at the Inn at Park Winters and Kim and her team did such a great job at making the venue that much more special and unique to our wedding with her floral designs. Kim was really good at listening to my needs and working with my budget. In case you haven't already realized when planning your wedding, all the things you like on Pinterest or other inspirational designs you want as a part of your wedding are expensive!! But Kim is realistic when it comes to budgeting, and if you are flexible with your designs (i.e. using seasonal flowers, and not having only peonies in for a fall wedding) she will work with your budget and help you create a beautiful design that is so much better than you were planning for. Kim was very good a communicating via email and phone, she was great at updating my invoice so there were no surprises, she actually utilized my Pinterest board when creating my floral design, she listened, and she was able to accommodate a last minute change, like adjusting the length of the garland for my wedding arch. read more

Kim and her team did such an AMAZING job for our wedding! Her communication was excellent all the way up to the wedding, even though I was a scatterbrained bride with a million things on my mind. She made me: a (gorgeous) flower crown, my bouquet along with all of my bridesmaids', and the boutonnieres for the men. The day of, she delivered them to me personally in vases and checked in with me before leaving so that I knew everything was taken care of. For my bouquet, I wanted something that was whimsical, cascading, and not too traditional, and she definitely delivered. The Pollen Mill came recommended to us after our original florist moved out of state and could no longer do our rehearsal dinner. We hit it off with Kim on our first call. She knew our original florist and worked directly with her to transfer over our deposit. We shared some photos of our wedding day florals and explained the direction that we wanted to go in for the rehearsal dinner. We wanted it to build to our wedding day and lead into our color palette. Kim totally got what we were going for and designed florals that were so beautiful and provided fun pops of color. We had a variety of centerpieces, satellite arrangements and place setting accents. Kim utilizes sustainable practices at The Pollen Mill which we loved learning about. Additionally, we were able to utilize the same florals at our farewell brunch on Sunday and they looked just as good as they did on Friday. Many guests took them home and continued to enjoy them for the following week. Due to COVID, we know it has been a tough time sourcing florals, which makes what Kim produced that much more impressive. Kim was one of my favorite wedding vendors to work with! From the very first phone call, she was diligent about understanding my (admittedly hazy) vision for wedding florals. I ended up changing my vision over the course of working with her, and she was nothing but extremely kind, patient, and communicative the whole time. She was honest about what would and would not work with my budget, but is also very reasonable from a cost perspective. On the day of my wedding, I was floored by my bouquet, centerpieces, and altar arrangements. I gave her an overall idea of what I wanted, but she went above and beyond in creating unique, memorable, and GORGEOUS florals for us. We had a destination wedding in Napa recently and The Pollen Mill came very highly recommended from our coordinator. Me and my now-husband were obviously weary of working with someone that we would never meet and paying for flowers that we wouldn't see until the day off. But Kim was a pleasure to work with and very professional! She was patient with us when we tweaked our vision and was very helpful with suggesting photos and showing us ideas. We were looking at The Pollen Mill and another equally priced florist here in Sacramento for our wedding at the Old Sugar Mill in Clarksburg. The reason we went with The Pollen Mill is because of Kim's attention to detail from the very beginning. She called me to get all of the specifics and vision I was hoping for, down to the color of the ribbon on the boutonnieres, so she could get us as accurate of a quote possible. It was amazing. Throughout the planning process, she was always quick to answer my million questions and accommodate any changes I threw her way. The day of, I cried when she brought in all of the bouquets because they were all so GORGEOUS and beyond anything I could have imagined! I wanted to stray from the pale flowers/greenery trend and go with bright colors and boy did she deliver! Kim was amazing. I worked with The Pollen Mill for my wedding bouquet, bridesmaid bouquets, and boutonnieres. She was professional, prompt, and honest. I'm a simple girl with pretty streamlined taste, and Kim was able to make that happen. She can design just about anything - that's clear from her portfolio - but the most important part about her and her team is that they listen. So many vendors are lovely and do great work, but it is rare to find a professional that is as gifted in the art of listening. She was able to pay close attention to what I asked for, and then translated that design to perfection. The level of detail in her work, both the finished product and on the administrative side, would alone warrant a five star review. On top of clarity, professionalism and talent, Kim is a genuinely nice person. I was really hoping for orchids in my bouquet, but there was a statewide shortage! I inquired with different florists, but there was no one that connected with me the way Kim did! I'm not very good with explaining my ideas, but she seemed to know exactly what I wanted and was able to accurately describe what I was looking for during our phone consultation. She is confident with her work and I knew I could trust her. I changed what I wanted several times and I had to postpone my wedding twice due to COVID. However, through it all she was super patient, responsive, gracious, understanding, and always accommodating to making everything work out. After every phone conversation with her, I felt at ease and confident with working with her. I changed vessel choices and alter piece pedestals and she worked with me in making those choices. She provided different vessel options, offered to help look for different pedestal options, and was honest with what she thought would work and not work. On the day of the wedding, I, all my family, and friends were blown away with everything she created. They were everything I wanted and more. Everything was absolutely beautiful and lush. I was astonished by how many different variation of flowers, foliage, and vines she used for the different pieces yet still made it look all cohesive and kept to the aesthetic I wanted. As I was getting my makeup done, through the window, I saw her setting up the altar pieces on pedestals. She could have easily just placed the pieces on the pedestals and left, but I saw her move, align, and position the pieces on the end of the aisle multiple times until they were perfect. You can tell she takes great pride in her work and it really shows in her designs and arrangements. I also followed her on social media and I love everything she stands for. She is kind, but not afraid to advocate for what she believes in and doesn't stay silent on topics I could see other small businesses shy away from. Where to start! Kim was amazingly helpful from start to finish; right off we gave her a list of what we thought we'd need, and she gave us back an extremely organized and detailed quote. This was extremely helpful in making choices and prioritizing what we want, as everything was laid out as single line items. We had as many design meetings as we needed to, and she was so patient with us (including when we changed our minds or second guessed ourselves) and provided helpful advice the whole time. On the day of the event, everything was handled smoothly by Kim and her team, and we didn't have to worry about a thing. We had a small wedding party, but they made several boutonnieres for our closets friends, and they were all different but related to each other. As for the centerpieces; people still have told me almost a year later how beautiful they were. Colorful, textural, fun - really everything we asked for. We had ten tables so did a variety of things; some tables had garlands, wreaths, lots of color all around. It really did turn out beautifully. As someone in a (different) design field, I know it can be rare to find someone who is both creative AND organized and professional, but The Pollen Mill definitely was all of those things. I've never seen such an amazing mix of flowers in the bouquet and on the tables. Everything was so fresh and she tied them so perfectly.
