The owner is hard to work with, rude and unprofessional. Her 5 star reviews are from friends and family and should not be trusted.

With Nepal being north of India…read moreand close to Mt Everest, there are similarities to Indian cuisine, with some Chinese influences. We started with their Steamed Chicken Momos. They were large, stuffed with chicken, and very delicious, especially with a spicy dipping sauce! That was soon followed by Dahi Puri, a crispy pastry shell with a savoury filling, topped with creamy yogurt. I've had similar dishes but these were the best versions ever! We also had their Chicken Choyela (served with crispy broken rice), an excellent Chicken Chow Mein, and Paratha flatbread. Additionally, we had a Mutton Thakali Set which is a combo meal with several components, all delicious. We were impressed. Every dish was absolutely delicious, full of flavour, with generous portions. I highly recommend Lumbini Hut! I'll definitely be back! PS - They have a large patio for outdoor dining in the summer, and a banquet hall in the basement for private events. They also have live entertainment on weekends.

The servers are wearing traditional garments and there is beautiful artwork on the walls . Friday - Sunday they even have live music. They have a large space in the restaurant for parties and events. After speaking with the owner, I found the upstairs event space can accommodate 50 patrons and the downstairs hall can host 200! Wow. Now onto the exciting part; The food. We ordered a couple different dishes and shared Dahi Puri Chicken Choyela Chicken Steam Momo's Chicken Chow Mein Thakali Set - Mutton Paratha I'm a huge Dahi Puri lover. This version blew me away... The flavor profile was perfection. ( My friend LOVED this dish as well. ) Next up were the Momo's. They're known for their Momo's. I do prefer a steamed Momo, so we went with steamed chicken. The portion size was quite large and the dipping sauce paired well; they had so much flavor. The next appetizer dish was one I have never had before; Chicken Choyela. I generally don't enjoy crunchy / textured foods but my friend quite enjoyed the puffed rice addition of this dish. The chicken had a unique flavor, unlike anything I've had before. It was solid. Their Chow Mein is another dish that they're known for. I seem to prefer noodles over rice these days. (But, I'm generally disappointed with most places noodles.) These were SUPERB! They had a smoky flavor to them and were a 10/10. I've had Thali but never a Thakali. While similar, they are different; We chose the mutton option. This dish was incredibly tender and bursting with flavors. Dish after dish impressed us. This spot hits all the right notes and is a definite must visit if you're in the area. My friend was so impressed, he's already planning his next visit!

This is a great concept, I couldn't get a reservation in the evening, but I came for lunch and was surprised by the service and food. The domes inside was significantly warmer, they also have a heater and will bring you a heated blanket. Lunch menu includes kids meal with paying adult which is nice. My hubby got gumbo and I got the braised short ribs. Both meal was great, a little on the saltier side. The kids had corn dog and Mac and cheese bites with fries, I also ordered their special hot chocolate for them. The service was great and we all really enjoyed the experience here. This is their second year doing this and you can tell they put a lot of effort into making it look nice with the lights and everything. Great concept!

Our three course meal included a deconstructed Caesar Salad, a duo of Braised Beef Short Rib and Herb Basted Chicken Breast, served with potatoes and vegetables. The service was excellent throughout. It was a good evening, far better than my previous visit.

Sawhil Banquet Hall - the oddest place for a bathroom.

Came here last night for an engagement party…read more Driving up to this place.. It was easy to spot and parking was available a plenty. Brownie points. It's not a huge place but it's pretty decent for fitting 60people and/or for a small event. Inside, I felt like I was walking into a time warp. Specifically around 1840 resembling a brothel in Pakistan. UGLY! (I was tempted to end my review with this. So to be fair I should explain) The "hall" (if I could even call it that) is split into 2 sides with about 9 tables on each side. Middle portion was the dance floor leading to the mini stage decorated with rich curtains and antique looking props to give it the "vintage" look. (They need not try so hard) certain corners of the wall there is serious paint peeling sessions and the staff come around with sour faces and gloves on. Imagine how I feel when I see a staff pick up my plate with gloves on!. What does that say about this place? tsk tsk. SHE NEEDS TO MOISTURIZE HER HANDS! - that is what it says.. AND that this place is poorly managed with clear signs of neglect. Opposite the stage is the "buffet" table. This was by far the saddest sight to have ever witnessed. No word of a lie, it looked WORST than a soup kitchen. The ladies behind the aluminium table had ladles with the smallest portions to give out. The dinner was served around 10pm. Nice move forcing people to stay. Moments like this is when it pays to be fashionably late. :p Perhaps the biggest shock was how respectable the bathroom was. Hmm.. I truly expected worst and slowly remembered the quote " don't judge a book by it's cover"... even if the covers eaten by mold and smells funny? Because with decay there's little tiny holes I can see through.. so technically I wouldn't be judging.. I'd be giving an educated guess. No? Overall, I would NOT recommend this place under any circumstances. I don't care how little you can afford... SAVE IT! host a BBQ at a park if you must. At least with less expectations people won't feel so bad dressing up. xoxo M.

It was $45 for two pairs of shoes and a lane for one hour (I'm unclear if this amount included 4 shoes because two friends joined late and didn't have to pay for shoes). 5-pin bowling that is great for kids and adults. They have things to help young kids bowl where they can drop the ball down a little slide to make it easier. I think they do private parties as well. I don't think this place has seen much update since I was a kid, but it's just fine for a night out. The graphics on the bowling screen are really old - probably from the 2000s - but, it tracks your score. Family friendly, or for those looking for a little night out, this place can be enjoyed by anyone. There is a basic snack bar that serves bottles of beer, chips and things like that. Go check it out :)

Ready for some old school five pin?…read more This place is pretty hard to find. It's in the middle of a strip mall, with a teeny tiny sign, and you need to go into a door that leads to a stairwell that either goes up to doctors' offices, or down to the bowling. This is bowling as I remember as a kid. They still have the seats that are stuck to the tables but swivel out! There's also a snack bar serving pogos, chips, pop and booze. I think they also do glow in the dark bowling. The one staff person who was there was super nice and great. The shoes were regulation meh, but the place is clean. There are lockers you can rent and a water fountain. It seems that the level of enjoyment you'll get out of the place hinges on how good you are at it. I'm decent. It was a fun time, but the area is kind of sketchy.
