Planning a party? Stop here first! They have everything you could want to throw a happening party {adult beverages not included}. Hubby & I were looking for some some cowboy themed stuff for a fun Yelp event coming up and we each got a cool sheriffs badge for under $1. Why spend a fortune on something you will only use once or twice? Prices are very reasonable and there's no place like it in Turlock. read more

A bit more overpriced. Came in to get something for my kids birthday. I feel they had a limited selection, which could have been better. The people workin ghere were kind. They said they had something over the phone, but when I came in they didn't. read more

Usually I have a pleasant experience in this store but Jenni was the cashier and so rude! Must be having a bad day or just needs a new attitude read more

Charge way to much for ballon's to be blowen up!!! Come on your prices are ridiculous.

Slow service. Employees do not wear masks properly (see photo). I waited 40 minutes for balloons. They had 1 person hecking out customers periodically while 3 people worked on balloon arrangements. read more

Great customer service, knowledgeable staff, quite a large selection of party goods and supplies, clean, well organized store

First time going. worst service ever & your balloons don't even last for the price that you pay you're better off going to dollar tree. Never again will I spend 30$ on your balloons read more

"Kim" was the person who assisted me today I called in an order of 8 larger balloons that were supposed to be "clearish" I expected to pick them up today at around 10:30/11:00 the person who took my call was very professional and helpful, however today as soon as I walked in and older gentleman greeted me very kindly and called over "Kim" to take care of my order, when I saw the balloons they were a lot larger than I was expecting. I stated that those were not the ones I wanted and that I wouldn't even be able to get those in my Jeep Cherokee and Kim stayed "oh yeah well I'd suggest you take two trips" WHAT THE FUCK! Seriously... okay no! - she then Rudely said that I had to pay which I did, $75.00 - I went to my car and tried to fit a few and I couldn't fit one, so I went back into the store to leave it with the other two I knew I wouldn't be able to make this trip and as soon as I walked In Kim said "oh you couldn't fit this in your car? Here leave it with me" demanding that I turn around and hand it directly to her while I was already heading to the balloon section, I told her she needed to relax and stop being so rude, then she laughed and said in a sarcastic manner "oh yeah sorry" and I left. When I returned from my 20 minute drive out of town and 20 minutes back to get the second trip the staff was a lot more pleasant, so thank you to those two women who were sweethearts! P.S probably will not be coming back to this location read more

Ariana helped me so much find the items I needed, I then had to do a return and repurchase because I forgot to give them a coupon and she was super helpful, Halloween time is so busy but they are very organized and on top of it. read more

This place is ridiculous!! Middle of the day on Saturday, 1 person working the register, 1 person filling balloons. 30 people in line.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Manager told me about a discount program i qualified for and my local party city failed to tell me about! I totally prefer this one if i have the time to come to Turlock to shop. And my local one is two minutes from my house. Kim was so sweet and gave me a discount on the opened package of balloons that i found was missing one too! Thank you Turlock Party City! read more

I loved the assistance I received from Nancy! She was so helpful, I was so nervous about coming in and not finding any balloons for graduation but she helped me find the perfect sets ! Thank You so much Nancy for such a great experience! She is such an awesome person! read more

I came in first thing in the morning on the DAY OF my son's birthday party and found literally everything I wanted from looking online. They had every section fully stocked and the associates were soooo helpful. They helped me super fast and were so patient with all of my helium balloon requests. I was so glad I came to this location and was ready to go! Thanks to Brenda and coworker for all their help (: read more

Stood in line for an hour!!! I'm not even exaggerating. Worst customer service experience ever! Only one check out stand open and about 20 people in line. read more

I have shopped at this location twice and although my first experience wasn't bad, tonight was absolutely awful. The associate that assisted me at the register was a very miserable person who does not belong in customer service. I don't know her name but she had visible tattoos showing. Overall bad attitude and not friendly at all. I almost felt anxious paying for my items. We all have bad days but Jesus Christ, don't bring your negativity to work! Will never shop at this location again, EVER. read more

Love my options, hate the long wait time during check out.

This is the 1st time ever of going here that I experienced THEE BEST customer service!!! Elizabeth, Michelle and Ariana delivered EXCELLENT customer service I was very surprised because usually employees are sour pusses there. So 5 stars for each of them! Very much appreciated read more

Worst customer service ever! I'll never shop here again. Even my 6 year old asked why our cashier was so "angry"

Don't ever get balloons here. We paid 36 bucks to have ballons for five hours. Better you head to the dollar store which we had a balloon last for 7 days. Would have gone here if they had our theme balloons in stock. I will never shop at that party city again. Such a rip off. read more

I wish there were a closer party city in Turlock because this one is horrible! The management is so RUDE. They will walk right by you and force the other employees to do everything. The manager guy or whatever stood by the costume wall and basically stared everyone down, customers and staff included! Who does that?? Most of the employees, however, are very nice! The employee by the picture wall last week, Cecilia Garcia, was extremely helpful and patient! She handled my needs very well! It's a shame that such great employees seem to be abused by the higher ups. One star for the terrible, hostile environment caused by the higher ups! read more

I've been here about four times in the last few months, and have had both good and bad experiences. The manager(s) are very rude to both employees and customers, but I've only had one rude employee. The rest are very nice and extremely helpful, I feel bad for the employees as they seem to be mistreated by the higher-ups. read more

WORST PARTY CITY I HAVE EVER BEEN TO! If you need something for a party, you are better off finding it elsewhere...even the Dollar Store has a better selection. I went here looking for cupcake liners and sports themed cupcake toppers and they didn't have either of those things. Last time I checked, cupcakes are essential for a party and that should be something they carry. They don't even have a section for cake decorating like every other Party City location I have ever been to, but they do have plenty of empty aisles. Only shop here if you like disappointment. read more

I don't like Party City that much because at Halloween, they never have any costumes in my size, I think they make their costume display way too complicated with those pictures on the wall. The service is okay but not in the convenient kind of way, more like in a way they can help without actually helping you with what you need. read more

Do NOT go here for balloons! My absolute favorite thing to get for my birthday is balloons! I am a big Mickey Mouse fan so my boyfriend went to this specific Party City (BIG MISTAKE) and bought me the largest balloon bouquet they had along with the largest Mickey Mouse foil balloon they had. The lady working there told him that apparently helium is scarce lately therefore they came up with this new mixture that they add to the helium that makes the balloons last a few days longer than normal. It was something you had to pay extra for. So he paid extra to get that service. He gave me the balloons three hours after he bought them and the large Mickey Mouse balloon was already deflating. The day after he bought them, the Mickey Mouse was halfway deflated and the latex balloons started slowly sagging. Two days after buying the balloons, the latex ones were hung over and nearly flat and the large Mickey Mouse Mylar balloon was completely flat. Not only was this a huge disappointment, it was a complete waste of money. 1) You buy about $15 worth of balloons 2) Then these folks claim to put a special filling to make the balloons last longer which didn't happen. They actually deflated much faster than normal. 3) They definitely are NOT using helium because when we sucked in the gas from the balloons, nothing happened. This is a very deceiving Party City establishment. Would've loved to get our money back! read more

This place doesn't deserve 1 star. The employees are rude and about as unhelpful as they can be, and that seems to be pretty consistant on all visits. When I asked how long it would take to complete the balloon order, I was rudly told to wait my turn (I simply asked how long, not can I go first). By the time we got home to Patterson, the balloons had lost all the helium due to not sealing them properly. People need to understand, if you have a need to feed your ego to increase your low self esteem at the expense of your customers, you are not going to survive long. Unfortunatly, this seems to be the the business plan for the Modesto location as well. Unless you have a real need to be insulted and treated as if you are no more than invading vermin, avoid this place at all cost. read more

The actual store is great, but the staff is horrible. It's seems like the customers are an inconvenience! The staff member who assisted me was rude and it took a long time for anyone to acknowledge me. read more

Great selection, however be prepared to wait in long lines. Manager walks by and just keeps on walking without offering to help out....

We stopped by to pick up some items I had seen online and was hoping I could get them in the store. I wasn't able to find everything I wanted but I found some nice things. The horrible customer service started when we got in line to pay. They had one poor guy as the cashier trying to help people as fast as possible by himself. I heard him call for back up but his super rude manager told him she was busy with an interview and the other lady was also busy, which I understand but a few moments later both these ladies came behind the counter and start filling balloons watching the poor guy trying to keep up and the line getting longer. The cashier had to walk out of the store to help the customer in front of us so my husband ask the lady's if they could get him some help. She said your going to have to wait a minute! To which my husband said we have been waiting for more than a minute that's the problem! Soooo we were so upset we walked out without the things I needed and it's safe to say I will never return to this store again and I will be calling their district manager!! read more

Staff wasn't very friendly or helpful. Cashier never even looked at me while ringing me up. I will say it was clean though!

Rude employees! My sister and I had the worst experience ever at this store. The employees were no where to be found. When we did find one to ask a question, we received a (you're bothering me) look along with an unhelpful answer. At the checkout line, one of the male employees with dark hair accused my nephew of eating some chocolates. The employee told my sister that "she needs to keep track of how many chocolate coins he was eating and that she has to pay for them." My nephew was chewing gum, and the coins were already in the cart. We spent a lot of money at this store, we wouldn't steal a handful of chocolates at 7 cents a piece. To add to this, the store was dirty, candy wrappers and trash everywhere. Treat others the way you want to be treated, show the customers some respect and you shall receive respect. This store doesn't deserve any star, they're in need of some major changes. read more
